My Vampire System

The MVS Chapter 18

Quinn had to step back a few steps and take a minute to take it all. He could not believe what he was reading now. After seeing that last message there was only one thing that came to his head.

“I'm a Vampire?”

Maybe Quinn was just trying to avoid the truth all along but this was the last thing to be sure. Quinn has suspicions after reading the book, but everything adds up, she becomes weaker in the sun, her night vision, and the fact the system wants her to drink blood.

But now he is told that he must drink blood otherwise he will die. Quinn stood there staring at the fainted Rylee lying on the ground.

Quinn swallowed his saliva, for some reason something pulled him into Rylee's body. Unconsciously, he slowly moved forward and suddenly he could see Rylee's pulse through her neck. Blood flows through his veins.

[Monus Quest awarded ]

[Eating your victim's blood to gain stat points ]

“How should I do this?” Quinn thought as she looked at Rylee like a piece of meat on a plate.

Layla had been keeping an eye on Quinn ever since she left the convenience store. When he saw Quinn following Rylee and she was holding a mask, he knew what Quinn was planning. He kept a safe distance between the trees to avoid being seen.

That's when he saw it all. He sees Quinn wearing a mask and knocks Rylee down but then he wonders what Quinn is up to. He knelt on the floor as if he was in pain and now, he was looking at Rylee very strangely, he thought.

The next second he saw Quinn fall to the ground and lift Rylee's body slightly off the floor.

“What ...” says Layla, “He may not be planning to ... kiss him, what's with this guy?”

Quinn continued to lift Rylee off the ground and put her back down as she decided what to do.

“Damn it, in the movies it is much easier.” Quinn said, “ stick my teeth on someone, I can't do it.”

In the end, Quinn decides to leave Rylee's body there and return to school.

“I want to know about what it is, in the end, he did nothing?” Think Layla.

Quinn started going back to school and put the mask back in her shopping bag. He noticed that the ice cream he had bought had melted but for some reason when he saw it, it no longer looked appetizing.

There was a hunger in his stomach that he knew would not be satisfied with the food and he wondered how long he could hold it.

When Quinn finally returns to school, she decides to stop by the toilet first. Quinn looked at herself in the mirror to see if there were any visible changes but Quinn looked the same as before. Then Quinn lifted her lips so she could see her teeth better, but her teeth also remained the same.

“Fiuh, at least no one seems to know. I wonder why I felt pain in my teeth at that time?”

Quinn then decided to open her status screen to see if there was any difference from before as she leveled up and evolved.

Quinn's health improved by 50 percent while others seemed to remain the same. To be honest, Quinn was very surprised about it but underneath he could see that there was one attribute point.

When Quinn pressed the system it would allow him to increase his strength, Speed or Stamina by one point. Quinn thought about it for a moment and decided to add points to his speed.

Although Quinn wanted to strengthen it should he meet more people like Rylee, he thought he could overcome that problem with a good beast weapon and would only waste stats. All he wanted right now was to be fast and nimble like an assassin.

Quinn wondered if there was a reason why the system only gave him one point, then he started to recall the additional quests given to him. As long as Quinn consumed the blood of his victim, it would give him stat points.

So far Quinn could gain an additional two stat points while leveling up only gave him one. If Quinn wanted to become stronger then this would be the fastest way.

But Quinn wasn't sure if he would be able to do it or not, he needed to try to do more research into the system and see if there was anything he could find.

He now has a direction and knows his system is similar to that of a vampire. Perhaps if he knew more about them, he would be able to tell if there was a way to drink blood as well.

With that, Quinn decided to go to her room where she could hear Vorden and Peter practicing together. Peter tries his best to learn the skill book the military gave him, while Vorden teaches him.

As Quinn entered the room, Vorden and Peter greeted her as usual.

“What took you so long?” Vorden asked, “We thought you might get lost.”

“No, I just went exploring the city a little” replied Quinn, “I'm a bit tired, I thought I'd go to bed early.”

“Maybe we should stop first for now,” said Peter.

With that, the group turned off the lights and went to sleep. All but one.

Quinn could not sleep, his stomach was in a lot of pain and his mind was too much. But eventually, he finally managed to close his eyes and fall asleep.

However, when he woke up the next day, the pain was worse than before. His head was ringing and his senses felt like he was on alert. The first thing Quinn did was open the system.

[Your HP will continue to decrease every hour ]

It's bad, Quinn finally realizes that she has no choice and has no time to look any other way. He needs to drink human blood and he needs to drink in the next five hours.
