Quinn, Peter, and Vorden are being escorted by second-year students to a separate section of the school. The school is divided into sections and the second year building is separate from the first year. This means second-year students do not interact much with first-year students.
“Don't we just have to run?” Whisper Peter.
“It may just worsen the situation, if they will do something to us, they will wait until we own.” Quinn replied, “It looks like they did this in public on purpose, as if to make a statement to all the other low levels. “
After walking for a while, they finally reached their destination. It was on one side of the second year building, there were a few second year students walking past but the place was relatively quiet.
Sitting outside the building on the stairs, was a tall man with brown hair wrapped in ponytails.
“We brought them here as you requested Mono.” One of the second year students said.
“You can go,” replied Mono while standing up from the stairs.
The second-year students did as they were told and quickly left them to be alone.
“It seems like there are rumors circulating about a top-level student hanging out with a group of low-level students.”
Quinn then noticed a Mono watch that read the number 6.
“Is it against the rules?” Vorden asked.
Mono started laughing.
“Not enough but there are some unwritten rules from the academy.” Mono then walked towards Quinn. “You see when you start treating this garbage as if it is useful to the community, they start to become big.”
Now that Mono was close enough to Quinn, Quinn was able to use her Inspect skill but when she got tired of throwing it onto the status screen that appeared to be blurred, it seemed like the status screen itself was melting and all the information was unreadable.
“Is it because I'm in the sun?” Quinn thought.
“See this garbage.” Mono said, “I was only a few feet away from him and there was not even the slightest trace of fear in his eyes. You know I'm glad the war started because it got rid of people like you and only the strong survived. “
Quinn's blood begins to boil, he hates war and how it has taken everything from him including his parents. He no longer cared whether he would receive a punch or not, all he wanted to do was punch Mono in the face right then and there.
At this distance even if Quinn's punch was slow, he would still have to attack. Quinn could not hold back his anger any longer and threw out a punch but even before Quinn's punch was thrown completely, Mono had taken a step back causing Quinn's fist to hit the air.
Vorden then took this opportunity to grab Mono. However, once again Mono had made a move even before Quinn started his action, causing Vorden to take nothing.
With that, Mono again climbed the stairs and entered the second year building.
“Do you think he's serious?” Peter asked, “I know in school they don't like these kinds of things but it seems worse now that we are in military school, why the teachers didn't do something to stop it.”
“Because it benefits them.” Quinn replied, “ The weak strong oppressor causes the weak to go down the road to find more strength, but if you are weak to begin with and do not have family support to help you , where are you going to get this power? “
“Military,” replied Vorden.
“To be exact, the teachers and schools did nothing because it benefited them. After experiencing hell for two years your mind will be destroyed. You will do anything to seek power and protection and the military can offer it for you. “Kata Quinn's.
Quinn looked at Vorden.
“Maybe it's better if we obey their wishes and part for now.”
“Why should I listen to them!” Vorden snapped back.
The explosion shocked Quinn because Vorden was strangely against his suggestion.
“Listen, I understand Vorden that you might think you helped me and Peter, but maybe you didn't understand because you were never as helpless as we were. When we break their rules, they won't go for you, it's me and Peter they'll go. “
Quinn hated saying this to Vorden, after all, Vorden was the first person to have a high level of strength that did not discriminate people and so far the presence of Vorden had helped. Every time Quinn and Peter walked around the higher levels did nothing to them because of Vorden.
But this only attracts bigger fish, something that Vorden and Quinn cannot handle, at least, yet.
“Good, it's up to you!” Vorden said angrily as he rushed back to the dorm building.
“Maybe we should have explained to her better,” said Peter.
“No, better this way,” replied Quinn.
Although Vorden looked like he was angry at Quinn's words, it was simply not true. Vorden was angry at the whole situation at school. Even here it seems like people are telling him how he should live his life, with whom he can, and with whom he cannot get along.
Vorden also did not want Quinn to get hurt so she knew it was the right choice, but Vorden would not let these people get away with trying to control her life. Vorden will go after them all.
