Chapter 56. Surprise

That night, Rylee asks Helen and Zaylin to come to the apartment. His reason for accompanying Abbey, though it was Eric's plan to give her a brief engagement surprise. After Helen receives Eric, the man will bring her to the parents by determining the date of the wedding.

"You're sure this plan will work? Helen wasn't that easy to believe because I rarely asked her for help" Abbey said.

"Don't worry! You're a pregnant woman now. He must care. Take it easy," said Rylee.

Meanwhile, at Zaylin's residence, Helen was preparing. All this time they lived together and Zaylin never disputed the whereabouts of his friend. Especially after the divorce from Van, apparently the ex-husband still sends money to Helen. So, the woman remained in the apartment without working like Zaylin.

Helen also remained silent. During Zaylin's time at work, she helped clean up the apartment. Sometimes she cooks for them.

"I think the Abbey rightly called us. All this time I've seen you busy keeping up with the apartment. I feel like I'm treating you as a waiter. Do you feel that way?" Zaylin.

"I don't feel that way, Zaylin. I feel living with you can unravel my loneliness."

"Oh, yeah, how's Eric doing? Does he call you often?" Zaylin knew that the man was very attentive. However, lately Helen feels different. No more talk about Eric.

I can't imagine that me, Abbey, and that woman are living together. Me and Abbey must be like a student with a killer teacher." Helen shuddered in horror.

"I didn't think your shadow was too high. Sometimes fate is funny. I can't imagine that you and Abbey have one in-law in common. Since school, your daily life, even until the in-laws are the same person" Zaylin joked.

"This time I will unite with the Abbey" Helen replied with a smile on her lips.

They didn't suspect in the least that this was Eric. Suppose Helen knew, she must be really confused and clumsy.

When he reached the Abbey's apartment, Zaylin immediately pressed the bell. Shortly, Abbey opened the door. The pregnant woman looked fuller.

"Hey, how are you? Come, in!" bring Abbey.

Helen and Zaylin. They were sitting in the living room, but Helen seemed to feel strange about the Abbey apartment. There was something that made his heart riled and restless.

The scent of perfume she was very familiar with smelled there. There was no way Eric was there. Most likely it was Rylee using the same perfume as her sister.

"Helen, are you okay?" Abbey curious.

"Yes, I think she's getting weird after entering your apartment. What's up, Helen?" ask Zaylin.

"Eitherway. Maybe I'm crazy! Imagine that I feel like I'm inhaling Eric's perfume, but he can't be here." Helen lowered her head.

"You miss her so much, Helen. How's your relationship going?" Abbey was even happier when teasing her friend. "Oh, okay. We better forget it. Oh, yeah, there's some news you might not like. I'm back at Van's company. It's a little weird, but that's me! I'm sorry, Helen."

Clearly Zaylin and Helen were a bit surprised. A few minutes later, they calmed down.

"No problem, Abbey. You've been working there long enough. Maybe Van can't find your replacement as secretary. You're amazing and Van praises you so much. Oh, yeah, where's Rylee? Why don't I see it?" ask Helen.

The ringleader who asked Helen and Zaylin to come at night was because of the young man. However, when they got there, not once did they discover Rylee's whereabouts.

They can sleep in the guest room. The apartment that Abbey and her husband rented had two rooms. One of the main rooms and the other is the guest room.

"Come, Abbey. If Rylee's back, I'd better go home with Zaylin!" Helen actually wanted to stay there, just that the scent of perfume was very disturbing.

"Why, Helen? Are you sick?" Zaylin looked worried.

"May I be honest about something?" Helen fell again.

Zaylin and Abbey nodded. "Tell me!"

"I feel crazy about the scent of perfume Eric used to wear. I feel like that guy is here. Maybe I'm excessive and unreasonable!" Helen was rough with her hair so that it made a mess.

"Well, that's amazing! Apparently your inner bond with the prospective sister-in-law is very strong. Why don't you try to reach him?" Once again the Abbey teased him.

Helen's been upset for a few days because of Eric. The man suddenly disappeared without any news. Sometimes the messages Eric sends to her become long-suffering.

While Abbey, she continued to fight against her own heart. Want to get away from Van, but in fact he went back there again. Maybe he'll really come off when Rylee has a more decent job.

"I wonder, why are you two quiet like that? If there is a problem, you can tell! Don't be a sniff yourself!" zaylin.

There is clearly regret on the look of Abbey's face considering Rylee chose to work in a car repair shop. While the expectations on the man were enormous. He had the ability to work in the company, but instead chose the job.

"Is it possible that I should leave this country to return to my parents' house? At least Rylee had a job to be proud of. Not like this now." Abbey complained about her husband.

"Where does Rylee work?" ask both friends at the same time.

"The workshop." Abbey grimaced with embarrassment.

As a broad-sighted person, Zaylin could not corner the job choices of others.

"Maybe he wants to start from scratch, Abbey. Just trust him! When it's time, he'll find the right job." Zaylin.

It didn't really matter either, but Abbey was afraid that it would become a problem later on. Not because of themselves, but their parents.

While Zaylin and Helen were chatting, Abbey walked into the kitchen to grab a drink. He also immediately sends a message to Rylee to bring Eric home to the apartment because Helen is already there.

When the bell rang, Abbey reflexively asked Helen to open the door.

"Helen, please open the door!" abbey shouted from the kitchen.

Unsuspecting, Helen moved from her seat. When the door opened, it appeared that Rylee was standing there and someone was behind the man.

"Surprise!" rylee's words made Helen riveted.
