Chapter 43. Need Proof

The newlyweds went home. Back to Rylee's room because they didn't book a room at the hotel. The parents chose to stay there with Eric and the two Abbey friends.

"We're married, but there's no first night" said Rylee, looking a lot of fun.

"Who forced me in such a way? I don't want to do anything for fear that you'll harm my baby."

Also true. Moreover, this is still the first trimester of Abbey's pregnancy. Of course it won't be easy for him. Today, they had their wedding until the reception ended.

Not to mention the Abbey plan that would choose to stay at her parents' house. It was rejected by Rylee for disagreeing.

Abbey simply flushed her body using a shower. As a pregnant woman, she can't bathe for too long. After taking the bathrobe, she returned to the room to change her clothes.

"You better take a shower. I want to change my clothes" Abbey said.

Rylee according to him. After that, he wants to spend time with his wife to discuss the future.

Rylee took advantage of this opportunity to get closer to the Abbey. After being overheated by Eric, now he wants to take responsibility.

"So, what's your next plan? We stayed in the apartment and you took care of me. Let me work" Rylee said in bed with Abbey.

As a working woman for many years later she was asked to become a statue in the apartment. It feels like a punishment. It might be tough at the beginning, but Rylee hopes it will be a good start to their relationship.

Abbey's pregnancy must be fully guarded. Do not be sorry later so that both of their parents will be more angry at Rylee. Let's just say Rylee and Abbey were both not allowed to marry, but love united them.

"Don't tell me you want to work? That's not gonna happen, Abbey. Don't make me lower in your parents' eyes!"

"Not like that either. I'll work from home. Maybe being the author of a book or whatever it is I'm not bored."

Of course, Rylee disagreed. She wanted Abbey to focus on her pregnancy alone. The rest will be handed over to him.

"Don't do anything before our child is born! If you want to go with your friends, go ahead! I don't care where you go."

Abbey has such a plan. However, when he opened the phone because of a notification, Abbey immediately said it to Rylee.

"I think our first timetable is waiting in plain sight."

"What's that?"

"Van and Anne's wedding."

"Aren't they divorced?"

"There's no way they're getting married if they haven't got their divorce papers. That means Eric can be invited to be there. Of course with Helen and Zaylin."

It's actually a very complicated relationship. Eric, Helen, and Thanos are both heartbroken with their respective partners. Will they come on that happy day?

"As far as you are, honey. Did they get the same message as you?" Search Rylee.

"I think Van would just send that message to Zaylin."

"Why is that?"

"Van typical jerk guy. So I know where the game is going. Did you forget that he could have made me feel like his mistress so Helen hurt me? I've turned it down thousands of times to the cross-section of my cheek by Helen in that villa. Yeah, Helen misunderstood!" firmly Abbey.

It's hard to remember their friendship. Although Van is not directly tied to Anne, it is their intense encounter that makes Van finally choose to have an affair with Anne. I don't know, actually, how Thanos's attitude all along.

Rylee pulled out a blanket, lay down next to the Abbey, then hugged his wife lovingly.

"I'll be a good man so you don't fear me anymore. I'm not as good as Eric, but I'll take responsibility for what I do. I'm still young, but don't underestimate my ability to make you happy. You believe me, right?"

Abbey shook her head, looked up, then glanced at Rylee.

"I'm not sure of everything you said before there was any proof. As long as you know that our marriage does not fully get the blessing of both families. So, I in your mama's eyes was the enemy. So are you in my papa's eyes. They just need our proof and seriousness in life."
