Chapter 39. Diverting Situation

The parents were gathered at the dining table. Eric and Abbey return at night. They stopped by somewhere first. However, upon entering the dining room, Rylee immediately left the dining table. As if avoiding her brother.

"Rylee, where are you going?" ask Philo.

"There's work to be done" said Rylee.

"Rylee, we need to talk!" said Eric.

Eric felt bad being ignored like that. As it approaches H day, it feels like connecting with a stranger.

"Eric, let it go. Talk to Arthur and Blair. They just came" said Dixie.

Blair got up from his seat to greet the Abbey, giving her a hug, and a kiss. It felt like I hadn't seen each other in a long time.

"How are you, honey?" ask Blair.

Abbey silence. He simply enjoyed hugs, kisses, and guided Blair back to his seat. It doesn't seem like Abbey needs to talk to them, it's just Eric.

"I'm going to go get some rest. Eric, I'm going to my room." Abbey's distraught. He was uncomfortable in their midst.

Eric intends to follow, but is detained by his parents.

"Where are you going? Your future-in-law just arrived. So, please be here until some time ahead," Dixie pinta.

Eric sat. He is uncomfortable because of the few people who are there, only he is the youngest. Besides, he felt that there was not much to talk about.

"How are you, Eric?" ask Arthur.

Eric gave his first smile. He took some food and looked at Arthur's face. It was seen how happy the face was to return Eric's gaze.

"Good, Om. We just got out of the hospital today. Abbey's pregnancy was healthy. The doctor suggested that he come to the hospital every month."

"That's not a problem, Eric. It is common for pregnant women to visit the hospital every month. Aunty hopes that her condition is fine. Especially this is the first trimester. So, still need a pretty strict supervision. Do not let Flo stress so that it affects her pregnancy," explained Blair.

"Well, Eric, you just decide where you're going" Philo said.

"We don't know yet, Pa. Abbey is pregnant. So, I don't think even a honeymoon would be a problem. I'm worried about her pregnancy. It's still the first trimester. I just don't want to make his mood messy" Eric said.

Meanwhile, in a room, Abbey looked dreamy. He's alone now. It was impossible to go to Rylee's room because the man had already flown the war flag. Not talking and everything went wrong.

Suddenly the sound of her bedroom door being knocked. Abbey thinks it's her parents or maybe Eric's coming. The Abbey rushed towards the door because she locked it from the inside. After the door was opened, Rylee barged in and then locked the door again.

"Rylee?"

"It's nice to be alone with my sister?"

Rylee sat on the sofa. He took a cigarette to light and sucked it.

"Rylee, stop that ridiculous act of yours! You can kill me and our son!" Abbey forcibly took the cigarette and took it to the dumpster when it was turned off.

"You still care about me. So, did you change your mind? What if we run away? For our son's sake!"

So complicated it feels. It is impossible to decide what is everyone's decision. Getting married to Eric is a must-see right now. Several times he found the man so caring and made Abbey feel at ease.

"I think it's best to follow the course of our lives, Rylee. You know that everyone is expecting this wedding. I can't possibly disappoint them."

"Fuck that disappointment, Abbey! They will never understand the fate of our children. He will suffer much more than the two of us or anyone else!"

This time Rylee was right. However, Abbey had no way out before the two friends came. This is a bit complicated, but finding a solution is much more complicated. About family, blood relationships, and love.

"Flo, what's up?" yell Blair.

"Abbey, open the door!" shouting Eric.

Meanwhile, Abbey was confused. He wanted to hide Rylee so that everyone would not misunderstand them, but Rylee refused.

"Let them know, Abbey!"

"Don't be stupid, Rylee! Please understand my position. Just go in the bathroom. After everything is done, you can go out again" pinta Abbey by pulling the man's hand.

In his anger, Rylee still kissed Abbey's lips and went outside through the window. It will not be difficult because the room can be connected directly to the balcony of his room.

"What's up, Abbey?" eric asked when the door had just opened.

"I accidentally nudged some of those urns, Eric. I'm sorry," Abbey said.

Eric immediately grabbed Abbey into his arms. It was impossible for him to do that because during his time here his attitude was ordinary.

Lucky for Rylee to be out of there. Otherwise, it could have been that the man would have gone berserk on the spot. The old men who saw him immediately left the place. Let them both solve the problem.

Eric immediately let go of the hug and asked the waiter to clean the broken urn.

"Definitely Rylee, right?" ask Eric.

Yeah, Eric took her to the balcony while the room was being cleaned.

"Why did you do that?" Abbey protests as Eric gives a hug.

"Just want to divert the situation. Do you want to get asked a question?"

Eric was right, but it doesn't have to be that way. After all, it really hurt her heart as well as Rylee. It was like betraying that man.
