Chapter 42. Weddings

"I did want to marry Abbey, but after a long thought, I shouldn't have separated the parents from the children" Eric explained, making both Abbey's parents appear moved.

"You're apparently heartened for this, Eric. Actually we were not wrong when you betrothed Flo, but his position was first your sister knew him. This is not an absurd coincidence, but it all carries the story that your father and I must have been successful" Arthur said.

"It's okay, Mr. Rylee. It's been a regular occurrence. Sometimes brothers and sisters fight over the same woman. It's no secret, but Mr. Eric's sincerity makes us believe that your brotherly relationship is truly remarkable. Especially with your parents who do not bother about this. I really salute you!"

While Rylee and Abbey approached the two to invite alcoholic drinks provided, Abbey was not allowed to drink.

"Congratulations, Helen. You're very lucky" Abbey said.

"Thank you for inviting me, Abbey. May you also be happy. Let's just hope Rylee's behavior isn't like that bastard!" said Helen who was still furious.

"Of course not. I'm a jerk, but very responsible. Just look after this," replied Rylee not wanting to be denigrated.

They laugh too. However, while the conversation was still going on, they did not see Eric's whereabouts. Rylee looked for her because she wanted to thank her brother who was really willing to give up the Abbey for her.

"Did you guys see Eric?" ask Rylee.

"I didn't see her again after your marriage took place" Zaylin replied.

It is not easy to be honored by wanting to give up on his sister. For a few days Eric was racking his brain to decide something big. Initially, it must have been the pros and cons of his family.
