Chapter 4. Sniffling

Van's face looks crisp. In contrast, his wife was unhappy that Abbey was back.

"Look at your face! That's how happy you are to hear it again" said Helen.

"Helen, don't misunderstand me. It's just professional work between the boss and the employee, honey. Believe me!" Van tried to make his wife understand.

A few minutes later, the door of the room was knocked. Abbey soon enters accompanied by Rylee who is purposely used to be her shield against Van's evil.

"Abbey? Who are you coming with?" ask Van wonder. The smile that had originally been broken suddenly disappeared.

Helen seems to care neither for the Abbey nor the man she is with. It would be nice if Abbey did leave her husband's company rather than making Helen always overthinking.

"I'm here to take my salary and severance. If you don't want to give it right now, I can make sure–"

"Abbey, what do you mean? Just came and threatened my husband." Helen did not accept it.

"Well, this is a coincidence! I'm just here to collect my rights that your husband is holding back. Oh, yeah, you better think back to sticking with him, Helen. Maybe you'll regret it later in life for sticking with a lying man like him" Abbey said, prompting Van to rise from his seat.

Rylee himself was still reading the situation. For now he has not been useful because the commotion is still dominated by married couples and women.

"So what you say, Abbey! I'll give you your salary and severance. Wait for me to call the finance department first!" said Van.

It turns out that this moment of not wearing really happened. Without waiting for long, Van immediately told Abbey that the money had been transferred.

"Please check your account!" van's orders.

"Oh, so, you came here just to beg my husband!" sindir Helen's.

"See your words, Madam!" sentak Rylee's.

Helen had just noticed a handsome man was with Abbey. Could it be Abbey's lover? Looking young, handsome, and attractive. Her husband isn't even that sweet.

It was time for Abbey to avenge Helen's behavior when they reunited. He and Thanos insulted him. Nor did he know that all Abbey was going through was Van himself.

"My future husband" replied Abbey sternly.

Helen's surprised. He tried to remain calm, but instead within him was so restless. Abbey gets the perfect and attractive male figure.

"Oh, yes, since my account already contained my severance and salary last month, we'd better leave. Oh, yeah, Helen, don't forget to let me know if we have a meeting with our friends. I'll introduce my future husband to them. At least know my reason, why am I not married?" continued Abbey.

It seems like Rylee is trying to find an opportunity in a narrowness. He approached Abbey then hugged her waist from the side. Instead of refusing, Abbey's response was the opposite. Passing without a fight. The touch makes Abbey float for a moment until Van makes a sound.

"Come to our house tomorrow night. I'll host Helen's friends. It's been a long time since you guys have come to our house" Van said without seeking Helen's approval.

This time it was Helen who had a fire beard. Is he capable of seeing Abbey's happiness? Though all this time, both he and Thanos always demeaned him. The point is Helen did not accept defeat.

"Don't worry, Helen. Let me invite you. I'll think of a suitable place so we can eat together and get to know each other." To Abbey, Rylee seemed to have her own power.

"All right, we'll say goodbye first. My future wife will tell you." Rylee's hand had moved tightly into Abbey's hand.

After Abbey came out with the handsome man, Helen grew increasingly upset with Van. There seems to be an important part of her husband that was missed.

"Van, are you sure you didn't do anything to Abbey? Answer!"

"You used to flirt with her, didn't you? I know that Abbey is honest. I think you're the one who's not being honest here. Just watch out, Van! If you're proven to do something behind my back, I can make sure you lose everything. Don't fuck around!" Helen multimatums.

While Abbey releases Rylee's hand. He tried to neutralize his body which slowly began to be affected by Rylee's charm. As a normal woman who had never felt such a gentle touch, it certainly made Abbey complacent.

"Don't do such sudden things again, Rylee!" order Abbey before they get in the car.

"Why? Isn't that a powerful way to convince them that we're in a relationship?" rylee asked after sitting sweetly in the steering chair.

"Now what should we do? I've been too excited to invite them, Rylee."

It seems like maturity seems to be swapped out now. Rylee dominated the role in Abbey's play. Abbey herself chose the wrong path. It's just that it's all been done and Helen and Van already know. Soon Thanos will know and try to demean him again.

"Take them to the nightclub. At least the noise will reduce their boring speech," Rylee suggested.

Rylee is a complete package. Besides he's tattooed, when it comes to alcohol he's strong. While Abbey, even touching the tip of an alcohol nail never.

"You're crazy! I don't want to! I can't drink alcohol" Abbey said.

Basically the innocent will lose with the brave. Show that you are able to tear apart the opponent's defenses. No need for a prank or anything. Just respond with a deadly action.
