Mom, Let Me Be Happy
CHAPTER 6. Clinics

Denny arrives at Mariam's house, and immediately makes sure of her condition.

"What's up Mariam?" denny asked with a troubled face.

"There's nothing about Denny... Shaka was just feverish," Mariam replied with a heart wondering 'Who told Denny to come to her house?'.

Denny placed his palm on Shaka's forehead, and sure enough, the heat was very high.

"Mariam let's take Shaka to the doctor!" take Denny who immediately rushed to turn on his motorcycle engine.

"But mas..," said Mariam stopped. Actually Mariam wanted to say that she did not have enough money to bring Shaka to treatment.

"Quick Mariam! wait what else?" denny shouted from his motorcycle.

Mariam soon catches up with Denny after closing the door. Mariam's feelings are getting mixed up. Between gratitude and confusion.

Before long, they arrived at a clinic. Denny immediately took Shaka from Mariam's sling.

"Help me doc, the fever is very high, ." said Denny who immediately visited a doctor who was on guard at the clinic.

"Sir, please take the queue number first!" a nurse on duty.

"Sir, I beg you this time, let this child be examined first!" denny Pinta.

Someone who felt sorry for Denny because he continued to beg, finally gave his queue number to Denny, so he could immediately enter the examination room.

"Thank you ma'am" said Denny.

"It's okay sir, I'm not an emergency!" firmly that guy.

Mariam just tailed behind Denny. Seeing Denny who was so panicked and worried about Shaka's situation, Mariam had a dream. "If only it were you, Santana" inwardly.

"How's Doc doing?" ask Denny who is waiting for the results of the examination from the doctor.

"It's okay sir, just a normal fever! later I will give fever-lowering drugs and vitamins," said the doctor.

"Alhamdulillah," said Denny was relieved.

"Sorry, may I know what age his son is?" ask the doctor who will prescribe the medicine.

"6 years old doc!" denny replied briefly.

Mariam, who had just opened her mouth to help answer the doctor's questions, was astonished at Denny who seemed to know all about Shaka.

Even at the clinic, Denny plays more role for Shaka than he does. The sadness in Mariam's heart, because the more attention to her son is precisely Denny, not his biological father.

The examination was completed, the drugs that the doctor prescribed also they had taken from the pharmaceutical part. At that time Shaka just fell silent not cheerful as usual.

Denny hands Shaka back to the mariam to carry. Because Denny has to drive his motorcycle.

Arriving in the middle of the journey home, Denny screeched the speed of his motorcycle.

"Why Mas?" mariam asked confused.

"Wait here for a minute Mariam! I'll be right back.." Denny ordered.

Moments later Denny brought back two servings of chicken porridge and some pears. Afterwards, Denny escorts Mariam and Shaka home.

Upon arrival at Shaka's house, Mariam laid on the bed. Then Mariam thanked Denny, with a confused face. Wanting to ask however, Mariam felt awkward.

Denny, who read Mariam's gurgle from her facial expression, then invited Mariam to express her confusion.

"Tell Mariam, what do you want to say?" denny's words left Mariam astonished.

"Is that so important? of course I know!" denny's toilet ignored Mariam's curiosity.

Denny who saw Mariam suddenly shut up, then shifted the topic of her conversation. "But Shaka first, I bought you the porridge earlier, after that don't forget to drink the medicine and vitamins!" denny's Word.

Mariam returns to the room to feed Shaka the porridge, and gives him medicine. Even though his heart was still wondering. However, Mariam agrees with Denny. 'What is the importance of that curiosity ? isn't Shaka's recovery more important?'.

From outside the room... Denny steals a look at Mariam who is busy persuading Shaka who still does not want to eat.

"Darling, eat a little! don't make me sad" said Mariam, who nearly cried.

Either got a boost from nowhere, but at that moment Denny went straight in and took the bowl of porridge from Mariam's hand.

"Give it to me. Just eat first, let me feed Shaka!" Denny's orders.

Mariam could only obey because she herself was confused, how else would she persuade her son? to want to eat.

"Well sweet boy, now Shaka eat first. Let it heal quickly and can play ball with uncle," Rayu Denny.

"Certainly uncle? uncle didn't lie?" the little boy sat down.

"Of course it's true, does uncle look like he's lying?" denny's Goda is answered with a smile by Shaka.

Mariam who eavesdropped on their conversation was increasingly astonished. Denny can easily melt Shaka's heart, while he has to work hard. However, Mariam is grateful that Shaka is finally willing to eat and take medicine.

"Uncle... If Shaka has grown up later, who should Shaka be like? does it have to be like Denny's father or uncle?" Shaka leaned Denny in with a question that Denny could not answer.

"Shaka.. Just eat first and don't talk too much!" firmly Mariam who heard Shaka's question on Denny.

"Let us talk Mariam, it's a man's business" Denny said.

"Why did Shaka ask like that?" Denny smiled as he stroked the little boy's head.

"Because Mom said Dad was a good person, and Uncle Denny was also good to Shaka and Mom," said Shaka.

Mariam who heard Shaka's answer made her choke because she was eating the porridge that Denny bought.

"See hotshot! your words made your mother choke," led Denny.

Mariam gets upset and misbehaves, leaving Shaka and Denny in her room.

"See what those two men did to you, Mariam?" grumbled Mariam.

While Denny and Shaka are still chatting.

"Shaka has to be a better person than Dad, and Uncle Denny." Denny said.

The little boy just nodded as if he understood what Denny was saying. What presence and attention Denny gives, making Shaka forget for a moment his longing for the Father.

Denny actually managed to paint a happy picture on Shaka's face at that time, and also carved a knotty smile on Mariam's lips. Shaka ended up falling asleep due to the effects of the fever-lowering medication he was taking, but this time with a very happy heart feeling.

"Mariam I want to go home first, I have to take a shower because from morning I have not taken a shower," said Denny while holding back his laughter because he saw Mariam's reddened face.

"Thank you so much, we owe it to you again!" mariam.

"Then you have to pay!" hatch Denny.

"With love only Mariam," Denny continued in his heart.

Seriate....
