Mom, Let Me Be Happy

Mom, Let Me Be Happy
CHAPTER 3. Ride Uncle Denny's Motorcycle

The day rolled back, returning the spirit of Mariam's life that had been torn into nothing after being hit by a talak by Santana. Even though the pain slips into the flesh until it enters the soul. At least Mariam was relieved that there had been a decision from Santana regarding the status of her marriage.

Mariam now focuses only on Shaka, the son she loves so much. Good hopes are always unraveled in every prayer Mariam says. Like the pulse that always accompanies in every breath. Every day Mariam is trying to be a stronger mother than ever before, for Shaka.

The day that burned Mariam's back, when she had to peddle her merchandise, did not make her give up or complain. From the bottom of her heart, Mariam is determined to educate Shaka to the best of her ability. So that his son could feel a better life.

From a distance Denny, watching Mariam who was walking around peddling her wares while carrying her son, Shaka. Denny could not bear the heart, seeing the woman who had loved him from a long time ago had to live such a difficult life.

"Sir Mariam, the trade is still there?" a man asked from a great distance.

"There's still a lot, Mom!" mariam replied, stopping and taking Shaka down from his carrier.

The man approached Mariam. Mariam showed her trade with a slightly dull breath from tired walking.

"Please, Ms. .. just be chosen," said Mariam, inviting people who want to buy the merchandise with a friendly.

"I just buy everything Mariam" he said.

"What's right, Mom? Thank you so much, Mom."

Mariam was very happy to finally sell her merchandise, and she was able to go home soon. Mariam smiled at Shaka, then carried her back and put her feet towards home. After the distance was quite far from the place, Denny smiled and thanked the person who bought Mariam's merchandise, which turned out to be a man Denny.

Then Denny asked for help to share with anyone who wanted what he bought from Mariam.

"Mom, Shaka wants oranges" Shaka said.

"Good darling! Let's go buy some oranges."

Shaka also looks so happy and very enthusiastic. Her son's innocence inflames Mariam's spirit of life, again. While chatting Mariam, and Shaka, went to a stall selling various fruits.

Not yet there, Denny prevented their move, he carried a large bag of fruits. There are citrus fruits, apples, longan and also mangoes. Mariam's move, and Shaka immediately stopped because of Denny, at that time.

"Geek!" Call Denny who instantly turns off his motorcycle engine.

"Uncle Denny .." said Shaka who released his hand on Mariam. Then, he ran scattering himself into Denny's embrace.

Denny greeted the boy with a warm embrace, then gave him a bag of fruits that he carried. However, because it was quite heavy for Shaka, he could not carry it. Finally, Denny handed it to Mariam.

"Let's ride!" take Denny to Mariam.

However, Mariam rejected him for feeling bad. Not to mention Mariam was ringing with ridicule of neighbors who would make fun of her later.

"Thank you, Mrs Denny. Don't bother, I'm not feeling good!" mariam said in an awkward tone.

"But Mom, Shaka wants to ride a motorcycle with Uncle Denny!" shaka Reduk.

Mariam can't do much, her mind is mixed now. Between picking up Denny, and gossiping about his neighbors later, or staying on foot and having to see Shaka cry. However, Denny wisely gave a solution.

"This is how Ma'am, it's okay Shaka, let me take it if Mbak Mariam does not mind. Ma'am Mariam please just keep walking."

After weighing up, Mariam finally agreed to Denny's proposal. That way everyone feels happy.

"Dadaaaa Mother.." said Shaka innocently when Denny began to ride his motorcycle.

15 Minutes later, Denny, and Shaka have arrived at Mariam's house. Of course not with Mariam, who traveled on foot.

***

A mother always puts her ego aside, forgets her pain and shows a smile to her child, as if everything is fine. Even though all his heart and feelings are being broken, he arranges how to keep the people he loves comfortable.

That is what Mariam is doing right now. By Shaka, for the sake of the baby to whom all hope is expressed.

Mariam breathed a sigh of relief as her booth began to be seen from the edge of her sight. With nimble Mariam quickened her legs to quickly arrive. It was very anxious Mariam, straightening the waist and legs that were tired and felt sore.

"Mother hurry here, Ma'am," greeted Shaka as she reached for her hand and led Mariam.

"Yes, dear .. Just be patient for a moment! " said Mariam.

Denny only concluded a smile at the behavior of the little boy who was in front of him.

"Mother, sit here near Uncle Denny!" tell Shaka to bring her mother closer to Denny.

"Shaka .. wait, son, don't be!" sergeant Mariam.

As if he did not care about his mother's words, Shaka still forced Mariam, to follow his will. Mariam's face flushed red at that time, she felt ashamed and uneasy at Denny.

"Shaka can't be so dear! pity your mother's face turned red," Denny said.

"Basic! These two guys just make me embarrassed!" grumbled Mariam.

Actually Denny was happy with what Shaka was doing at the time. But, Denny hurriedly came to his senses and understood Mariam's position. Surely he became an easy target for neighbors who want to gossip. Not doing anything is a scorn. What else if until Mariam does not keep her distance from Denny.

"Mas Denny, want some tea? Let me make it," asked Mariam to offer Denny.

"May, Ma'am ... if it's not a hassle" Denny replied.

Mariam who was misbehaving immediately rushed over without replying again to what Denny said. Meanwhile, Denny's heart thump is not good. Because at most Denny just came to ask the news or give something to Shaka, then left again.

But this time Denny ventured to sit longer with Shaka, and Mariam. Although not spared from the eyes and ears of neighbors who steal the opportunity to peek. Some pretended to sweep the yard while clingak-clinguk, some pretended to ask for salt or sugar to Mariam's house.

"Mother, look at this!" said Shaka showed 2 packs of food that Denny had bought, on the way home earlier.

"That's what, honey?" ask Mariam who is busy making tea for Denny.

"Denny's uncle said it's for us to eat together, Mom."

Mariam increasingly feels bad because it has a lot of trouble Denny.

"Please drink, Mas, tea .." said Mariam when serving the drink.

"Thank you very much, Mariam .. uh I mean, Ma'am Mariam!" denny replied nervously.

Mariam smiled and kept her distance.

Seriate....
