Mom, Let Me Be Happy

Mom, Let Me Be Happy
CHAPTER 38. Dicky's Hungry, Mom.

A week since the day all the truth was known. Santana completely untied her bond with Asih. He now chooses to leave his own home.

Santana gives up her home for Asih, feeling sorry for Dicky's fate. What about Shaka? Shouldn't that house be Shaka's right? Of course Santana had thought about it long before anyone else thought about it.

Santana has secretly bought a new house for Shaka. However, while waiting for Shaka to mature, Santana occupies the house first. For now let Shaka stay with Mariam, as well as Denny.

Gradually Santana began to rearrange his life that was previously tangled and messy. Although must accept the pain tortured deserted. Although he had to pass every second by learning to sincerely accept the fate of life that befell him.

He saw another photo of Mariam, and Shaka who was still tucked faithfully in his wallet. Suffice it to reduce the longing that will never end in two people who love him so much. "No problem, my sadness is meaningless as long as you see your life in happiness" Cup! Santana kisses a portrait featuring Mariam's and Shaka's face.

On each wall of his new house that is still plain, Santana attaches her memories with Mariam, and also her only child, Shaka. With nails tacked on, he hooked up a wall clock he bought with Mariam, first.

A picture frame full of history, which turned out to be still neatly stored and always carried wherever it perched on the wall. Her wedding photo with Mariam makes Santana come back at good times every time she looks at her. After being busy with all that, fatigue approached Santana and he fell asleep on a quiet bed.

In a different room, in the house Santana now occupied Asih. The woman kept nagging and raving indistinctly. Dicky becomes very unkempt by Asih because he is always busy with his own life and world.

While Arifin has not been able to bring Dicky with him to live with him. Besides he needs time to explain to his legal wife, the situation is also not possible to be able to bring Dicky. With the recovery period still under way, Arifin just asked Dicky to wait for him to come pick up Dicky there.

"Mother, Dicky is hungry, Mom," said Dicky, who was hungry in his stomach because Asih had not fed him. Instead of preparing food and fulfilling what Dicky needed, Asih instead laughed indistinctly and pointed at Dicky. Dicky cried while shaking his arms.

"Mother ... Dicky's so hungry, Mom," Dicky repeated in tears. However, the woman again just laughed and sometimes cried unclear. Then, Dicky ran away from his mother who somehow became strange.

The boy ran away crying in confusion. With a stomach that continues to sound rumbling he rubbed his hands hoping his hunger was gone. However, his efforts were in vain because the hunger can only be lost if it has got food intake.

"Santana's dad, where's Dad? Dicky is hungry" The boy sits limp under a tree that used to be Shaka's place of escape while mentioning Santana's name. The groaning sound of a very heart-wrenching child was heard by Shaka, who was playing kite with Denny.

"Let's go Daddy, let's see who's crying," Shaka asked with his sensitivity. Denny nodded and immediately rolled up the thread tied to the kite that had already been flown by him, as well as Shaka. They then walk towards the source of the sound.

From a distance as far as the eye could see, Shaka could already see Dicky crying while sitting leaning under a tree holding his stomach. Without a second thought he ran over to Dicky. Dicky's cries did not stop until he heard a sedan from his sobbing.

"Wake up, Dicky!" Shaka helps Dicky to get up, rubbing the dirty parts of Dicky's pants against the dust. Shaka persuaded Dicky not to cry anymore. Make Denny's heart full to see the scene.

Denny crouched down then asked quietly "Son, what happened?" denny said as he rubbed Dicky's head. The boy did not reply and just continued to rub a tiny hand on his stomach. Shaka and Denny look at each other and meet face to face.

"Dad, Shaka wants to eat grilled chicken" said Shaka who was not actually hungry. However, Shaka understands Dicky's body language enough to show that he is hungry. In order not to offend Dicky, Shaka uses himself to ask Denny for a meal.

Without rejection, Denny immediately brings Shaka, and Dicky to his subscription chicken shop. With a motorcycle that he parked when he was playing kite with Shaka. Dicky's cries slowly began to subside.

10 Minutes later, they arrive at Shaka's favorite grilled chicken shop. Directly Denny ordered 2 servings of grilled chicken and white rice for the two boys. He did not order because he still felt full.

After the order came, Dicky immediately ate it voraciously because he was very hungry. He choked because he ate too fast. "Drink," Shaka said as he offered Dicky a glass of water, and Dicky drank it.

I don't know why Denny was so amazed at the boy who now called him 'Dad. How could a child his age be so sensitive and behave so readily. It must have been all thanks to his mother's wonderful upbringing.

Now he understands why Mariam is so worth fighting for. Denny smiled remembering his wife's face and felt grateful that he was now his. Denny's face suddenly blushed imagining Mariam was staring at him.
