Mom, Let Me Be Happy

Mom, Let Me Be Happy
CHAPTER 21. Bolu Cake for Dad

The morning opens the day, greeting the kindly of every life that welcomes him. Warm sunlight that highlights spoiled. Penetrating through each gap then creating a line of light formations.

"Good morning, Dad ... Mother ... Grandma," said Shaka to the three parents who were enjoying their morning meal. "Forward, Shaka "reply them in unison. Shaka smiled at the warmth of the family that he almost never felt before.

"Mariam, it's noon I want to take you, and also Shaka somewhere," said Denny, sipping a cup of love coffee made by his wife. "What mother, Mas?" the word Mariam describes the anxiety on her father's face. "Mom's not coming, son.You just go, I just want to rest at home," concluded Mother.

"Look, Mom! Mother-in-law is very worried about Mom," said Denny while raising both eyebrows. "Ih, is this what the hell? I'm just embarrassed, "Mariam grumbled in a low voice. Mom just smiled and shook her head at the behavior of her son and daughter-in-law.

"Dad, can Shaka give Santana's father a sponge cake made by Mom too? shaka asked suddenly. Make everyone dumbfounded. Mariam felt bad for Denny and Mom but, Denny calmed her down with a smile.

"May dear, of course it is perfectly permissible" replied Denny's mother. Mariam's face was immediately lethargic. "It's okay, Mariam... Santana is his real father, let Shaka keep doing good to him" Mother advised. "Yes, ma'am but..," Mariam's remark came to a halt.

"Aren't you the one who taught Shaka kindness? why prevent him from doing good! Let it go," Mother said. "Mariam, don't worry" Denny added. Finally Mariam followed the advice of her mother-in-law.

If I can be honest, Mariam won't let Shaka do it. Not because of bad feelings for Denny and Mom alone. However, Mariam is afraid Santana's attitude will make Shaka disappointed again.

Carefully Denny's mother prepared the sponge that Shaka asked for Santana. Packed neatly in a box. Denny's mother even deliberately gave a sponge that is still intact to be given to Santana.

After preparing, Denny and Mariam, deliver Shaka to Santana's house first before going to visit the place intended by Denny. With a happy heart the boy continued to chatter along the way to his father's house.A few moments later they arrived at Santana's house.

"Assalamu'alaikum, Father" Shaka said. With a face of surprise and disbelief, Santana answered Shaka's greeting stammeringly. Shaka smiled at Santana as if he had never been hurt by her.

Santana ran to embrace Shaka with tears slowly falling down her cheeks. Not a word came from Santana's mouth. He just hugged and kissed his son.

Denny and Mariam look at each other and Denny tightly knits his finger at Mariam. Denny did not want his wife to recall her pain. On the other hand Denny is grateful because he believes that having a good relationship with someone who has hurt is the most charming way to win.

"Dad, look Shaka brought Daddy a sponge cake made by Mom," Shaka said and wiped the tears on Santana's cheek with his tiny hands. Santana was powerless to resist all the mixed feelings in her heart. He took every soft touch from his Son.

Santana was speechless because of the urgent spill of grief in her chest. With trembling hands and choked lips he grabbed the sponge cake from Shaka's hands. "Thank you, son" Santana said in a raucous voice.

Santana then got up and took Shaka into her carriage. Mariam cried watching all that. Again with a swift Denny calmed Mariam this time with a hug.

"Shaka loves you" said Shaka Lirih as she held her hand against Santana's body. "Dad too, Son ... I'm sorry," Santana replied. 10 minutes of all the drama that was finally ended.

Santana then turned to look at Denny who was holding tightly Mariam's hand. He smiled at them. Santana gathered her courage to approach, then hugged Denny while holding the tightness that filled her breast space.

"Thank you, Den" said Santana no more. Denny patted Santana on the back and replied "Sama-sama, Mas," he said. They also let go of each other's arms.

"I'm sorry, Mom, if you ever ask me why I behave this way. Then feel the wounds that you may have once considered simple," the inner Mariam who was still indifferent to Santana. "Didn't I deserve to be happy too? therefore I do not want to linger anymore to feel the bitter and bitter pain."

"I know, Mariam, I don't want to be constantly tormented by the guilt that always haunts me. Maybe letting go of you is the only way to give you a path to happiness. The happiness I can't afford for you, and Shaka."

"While letting you be happy, let me accept the punishment for a mistake I will never be justified by. Every now and then I may have to give up my arms to someone who is able to get rid of the storm in your sky, Mariam. Let this pain I swallow myself.

Mariam, Denny, and Shaka leave Santana after saying goodbye. With a blank look however, with a feeling that began to be relieved. Santana watched their every move that was getting away from her sight.

Dicky gritted his teeth watching Santana who was hugging Shaka affectionately. A hug she never felt. However, Dicky is still too young to understand that Santana is Shaka's real father. While he was just a child abandoned by Arifin.

Bending his face and frowning, Dicky gave his protest. "Why does everyone love Shaka? Dad why do you give me a hug and hold Shaka? I didn't do that to Dicky."

Santana clenched her hands together, wanting to feel angry but at whom. Dicky is not someone who can be channeled because he is still a child and does not know the truth. Being angry at Asih may be more appropriate but, all his anger will only be in vain.

Not wanting to take a headache, Santana finally entered and ate the sponge given by Shaka. Every bite he took. Every mouthful that went into his mouth twisted the memory of a piece of the story of the sweetness of the affection he had gone through with Mariam.

"Look, Asih! the bod*h woman still came and seduced your husband," said Asih who saw Santana from the kitchen. The Heart is too full of black dots. Until he is unable to see the good in someone, all he raises is ego.

Seriate....
