Marrying a Rich Bum

Marrying a Rich Bum
I'M NOT ALIVE

Bima pressed the power button, Mariana's phone screen lit up. The right end of the phone displays a red indicator. The remaining battery is 21 percent. Bima carried him up the closet, connecting with the charger.

Curiosity makes Mariana sleep is not sound. She got up early in the morning, went to take a bath and was already beautiful when Bima came in intending to wake her up.

"You awake?" ask Bima.

"Today I have my first meeting with the managers, before the opening of the office next week."

"Ah, yes. You deserve to be so beautiful. The new CEO is ready to preside over the meeting, apparently." Bima smiled widely. Mariana blushed.

"Do you want me to drop off, or go alone, Director's mother?" ask Bima.

"Can I go alone? I miss driving. Ever since you bought me my new car, I haven't had time to drive it myself at all."

Bima looked at Mariana, considering.

"Oh, come on, my husband. Your wife is even tough. Did you forget?" ask Mariana, pouty.

Bima smiled back. "alright. You can drive yourself this time, but always remember to be careful."

Mariana kissed Bima at a glance. "Of course," he said happily, as he ran out of the room and immediately down the stairs.

"Hey! don't run up the stairs, Mariana!" Bima yells.

Mariana put the brakes on her feet, walked down the stairs.

Bima kissed Mariana on the top of her head after clenching her lips for five minutes, as she prepared to let her wife go. Mariana waved happily, her feet slowly stepped on the gas pedal of the car until it slid quietly out of the courtyard of the house.

Mariana did not go to the office, but instead went to see Sarah.

"Hello, Sarah. I've been where you showed me." Mariana called Sarah as soon as she reached her place.

"wait. I'll be here soon. You get in the mini market, park your car there."

"Where am I going?"

"Get in the mini market, then go out through the clothing store next to it. Both shops are open. I stopped right in front of the clothing store, using a red car. Get in my car when I give you a cue."

"Why should that be?" mariana asked suspiciously.

"Bima told people to follow you wherever you go as long as you're away from her. It's not easy to escape from him with his many men all over the city."

Mariana thought for a moment, then nodded, forgetting that Sarah could not see him. "Alright, Sarah. I trust you."

The connection is cut off, Mariana goes into the minimarket and parked her car in the mini market parking lot, then walks calmly into the mini market. As Sarah had said, a tall, skinny man wearing a baseball cap followed in, keeping his distance behind him.

Mariana goes round and round in the minimarket, buys milk, buys salted biscuits, and, standing for a long time in the baby's gear section to choose perfumes until the man who followed him got bored and turned his head the other way when a child dropped a yumoukan diapers.

As fast as lightning Mariana walked into the clothing area. Just then, Sarah gave the code she had prepared up front.

Mariana grabbed a few clothes that she passed, walked quickly towards the cashier, put her shopping cart there.

"Oh, sorry for a second. Domper I'm left in the car." Mariana pretended to crab a bag. His heart is beating incoherently.

The pretty cashier nodded. Mariana walked quickly out of the mini market area and headed straight for Sarah's car.

Right Mariana put her ass on the seat, Sarah stepped on the accelerator and their car slid away.

"Do you have any water? Oh, my God, this is driving me crazy." Mariana breathed quickly while holding her chest.

Sarah held out a bottle of mineral water. "Still sealed. Safe," he said.

He's not lying. Mariana turned the cap of the mineral water bottle, a loud kretek sound indicating the bottle was as safe as Sarah had said. Without suspecting Mariana downed the entire contents until it ran out.

"Where are we now?" ask Mariana.

"Did you bring your car keys?"

Marina shakes. "You said I should leave her."

"Where did you leave him?"

"Shopping basket."

"Ingenious too. I thought you left him stuck in your car."

Mariana shook her head. "Because I need to leave my car keys?" ask again.

"Because I know Bima very well. I'm sure he's got eavesdroppers and tracking devices in your car keys. That's why I also need to ask your phone to check the tracker." Sarah extended her hand.

Mariana frowned. "I'm not gonna destroy your phone. Just deleting the tracking app, we're not far off."

Mariana took her phone, handed it to Sarah. "Can you pull over first, Sarah? I'm afraid to see you play mobile while driving like that. That's too risky."

Sarah smiled wryly. "Don't worry, Mariana. I won't break my own legs as long as Bima's legs are intact both."

Mariana took a long breath. "Please don't hurt him. I know it hurts you, but I love her so much, really."

"me too. That's why his legs until this second are still intact in his place."

Mariana pouting.

Sarah returned Mariana's phone.

"Have you?"

Sarah nodded.

"How could I not know Bima inserted something on my phone?" mariana asked, turning her phone back.

"Because he's so sneaky."

"Who is he really?"

"Wait until we get there."

"Where are we?"

"The safest place of the people of Bima. Not far away, just a few tens of meters ahead."

Mariana nodded, looking ahead. Somewhat regretted he had not observed kalan since earlier, so did not know now where they were, because while observing the left right, he was not, Mariana did not dig into the area at all when they left for no more than fifteen minutes. They have not yet left the city.

"Weling Village. Don't be afraid, I promised I wouldn't hurt you, didn't I."

Mariana nodded in disarray.

Five minutes later, Sarah's car pulled over near a small diner made of half-brick half-board.

Mariana opened the door and gestured for Mariana to come down.

"This is a restaurant?"

Mariana nodded. "You'll love the cooking. Don't look at it from the outside."

And true too. After they entered and sat down to face the dishes, Mariana could not stop clucking in satisfaction.her mKan was so greedy as if it had been a long time ago that she could only eat instant noodles with leftover rice.

"Sonly son here. Why did you say Bima would never come here?"

"Because this is a forbidden area for Bima and her group."

"Group?" mariana asked, scratching her second drinking glass, the contents of which also stayed half.

Sarah pulled away the empty plate, leaving two thoughtful snacks and a drink.

"Yes. Did Bima never tell you?"

Mariana shook her head. "I know he's not who he shows, but he hasn't talked to me yet."

"Are you sure you want to hear it from me instead of directly from her?"

"I thought Bima would never tell me."

"But if you want to wait until Bima is ready, you won't lose her because of our agreement."

"But I'm gonna lose my baby, right?" ask Mariana to investigate.

"I'm sorry. But, yeah."

Mariana smiled. "I chose to lose him. Doesn't love have to be?"

Sarah was silent for a moment, then nodded.

"I knew. I used to think that way too, before my son finally died of hunger and cold. I was kicked out of the house because I was pregnant out of wedlock, forced to live in seclusion on the edge of the forest because Bima did not want to admit her child. While I was living a tormented life, Bima was living with a vast treasure. Until one day after my son was born, he was cold. Shivering, his body turned blue. I didn't come out because I ate less. I walked through the woods, until I skated there." Mariana pointed to a path on the edge of the forest that led into the forest.

"I walked here, carried my son, and asked for alms. My son is too weak. He died two hours after I suckled him."

Without her noticing, Sarah's tears melted. Mariana stroked the arm of mariana lying on the table.

"I took my baby into the woods. There, as I cried, I met an ancient woman who then taught me the ritual to tie Bima's blood so that I could not marry another woman. That's why I was so surprised when he was able to do it with you, because I actually made it impossible."

"Make it. You mean, he...."

"Yes." Yeah."

"But...."

"I knew. That's why I'm so surprised."

"Where do you know that?"

"Because I feel it."

Mariana took a long breath. "Every time we do it?"

Sarah nodded.

A red tinge appeared on Mariana's pure white face. "Don't get me wrong. I don't feel like what you feel. But I do know. I can somehow explain it to you" said Sarah.

"Alright, alright. No need to explain. I understand it even though I can't imagine it."

Sarah nodded.

"Then what happened to Bima?"

"Bima was the head of the gangster. In this big city, there are two biggest gangsters who control the dark business economy and the two fight each other cold. The head of the white Eagle gangster, whose territory is here, fell in love with me when he saw me. He was disappointed when I chose to perform the curse ritual, and decided to attack Bima's Lion Belang gangster on the basis that I killed his flesh and blood in their territory."

"But you didn't kill him. She's dead...."

Sarah nodded.

"It was just an alibi so they could attack Bima. Because they are in a cold war. No attacks can be carried out on both camps for no apparent reason. And the attack killed his mother. The woman he loved most even defeated him. His mother sacrificed herself to protect him. That's what makes Bima release all his wealth, including the robe of the gangster he was holding. And he's secluded himself in the woods, trying to find me to make amends."

Mariana gulped roughly even though her throat felt very dry. Mariana did not expect at all the past of the Milky Way.

"J-so, what are you planning to do now, if I may know?" ask Mariana stammered.

"Removing you and your son from Bima, so that he feels what it's like to lose two people he loves so much at once."

"Is that the only way you can get revenge? I mean, after I leave, do you promise to let her live in peace?"

Sarah was silent for a moment, then nodded. "alright. Since you have sacrificed for me, I promise to let him live. And I'm gonna take that strap off my body, so I can die in peace."

"What do you mean?" mariana asked, not understanding why Sarah carried the word dead.

Sarah smile. "Because actually, that blood-binding ritual shuts my heart off. I'm not alive, Mariana. That's why they call me the devil. Because I'm dead."

Mariana gawking.

Sarah grabs Mariana's hand, attaches it to her chest where her heart is supposed to beat.

"You can feel it ticking?"

Mariana concentrated, then took a look. "No."

"Because no one lives in there."

"But you're alive."

"Yes. A life of confusion and damnation. A life lived only to get revenge. After you oergid arinya, I promise I'll go quietly for ever and will never bother you and your son."

Mariana again swallowed the saliva that was drifting in her throat.
