Marrying a Rich Bum

Marrying a Rich Bum
ENTRANTS COMPANY

Bima stared at the wall clock above where she lay. It's almost dinner time, but Mariana hasn't come home yet. Although Marco gave him news every minute, Bima was still worried, because Mariana brought her own vehicle in a young pregnant condition.

Bima got up from his sleeping position, went to the kitchen. He opened the refrigerator, peeked at the supplies inside, then closed it again. Bima sat on the dining chair, pulled out the phone in her pocket, sliding the screen icon open. Then her finger typed in seriously, a menu for young pregnant women.

After selecting the menu for ten minutes, Bima opened the refrigerator and removed all the ingredients.

Finished cooking, Bima returned to the living room, waiting. Ten minutes ago Marco told me his wife had left the restaurant and was walking home.

Many times Bima glanced at the wall clock, anxiously waiting for Mariana who never came, until the sound of the door opening made her turn.

"Why is it once a night?" ask Bima coldly. Mariana turned around, closing the door behind her using her feet.

"What's wrong? Don't you usually have more nights than this" he said.

"But you're sick h."

"I'm fine," replied Mariana flatly.

"Where from?"

"Meeting friends at the restaurant." Mariana answered flatly, as she passed to her room.

"Why go to a restaurant? I cook for you at home." Bima followed behind Mariana, holding back the door she was about to close.

"You...." Mariana turned around, staring in disbelief.

"You've been shopping, and you're willing to share it with me. What's wrong with me preparing food for you, while you're working to make money for our lives."

"Eh, no. There's nothing wrong. Actually, I went to a restaurant just for coffee and just met my friend. I. I need to tell him." Mariana lowered her head, her volume decreasing.

"Do you mind sharing your problems with me?"

Mariana looked up, looking at Bima hesitantly.

"All right, no need. After all I can only be a listener, unable to provide solutions," said Bima. "Clean yourself, then eat. I've already prepared it in the kitchen." Bima turned around, stepping away from the door of Mariana's room.

"Eyeh...." Mariana reached out to prevent Bima from leaving, but Bima had already disappeared into the living room.

Mariana stared at the corner where Bima's back disappeared, then smiled. "I don't need a solution. I just need a place to share my burden" Mariana muttered, then turned around and closed the door. While in the living room, Bima smiled at Mariana's muttering.

Bima walked out, picked up the phone.

"Yes, Marco."

"I've arrested the bank man who took out Miss Mariana's bank account."

"Let him there first. I'll see you after Mariana's better."

"Are we going to put it down, boss?"

"Don't. Just put it at level 2."

"Mom...?" A soft voice called out from behind. Bima gasped, immediately turned off her phone connection and pocketed it.

Damnit damnit! since when did he stand there, Inner Bima.

"What's wrong?" bima asked, his expression back flat.

"What are you doing here? Don't you want to accompany me to eat?"

Bima frowned.

"It's not good to eat alone. I'm not used to it."

Seeing Mariana's ordinary face, Bima decided that she did not have time to hear the conversation.

"All right, come on." Bima answered flatly, then stepped inside.

"What do you want to prepare for drinking?" mariana asked, after Bima had sat down.

"Lime water only," replied Bima.

Mariana prepared two glasses of water, then sat down and scooped up the soup.

"It's kind of cold. I made it a long time ago."

"It's okay. It's really delicious. Do you like to cook?" mariana asked after swallowing a large spoonful of soup.

"Are you used to eating while chatting?" ask Bima.

Mariana looked at Bima for a moment, shaking her head. "actually no. But, I don't mind eating while chatting. I always do it when eating with my friends at restaurants or cafes. Are you feeling uncomfortable?"

Bima shook her head. "No."

Mariana nodded, smiling. Her smile was so sweet this time. So sincere and natural.

"Do you mind if I discuss the matter of the office at the dinner table?" Mariana asked back.

Bima is back to shake. "No," he said briefly.

"I'm. I'm confused."

Bima stared flat, her hands bribing food into her mouth.

"What makes you confused?"

"It's a family company."

"If someone has a family company, does he have to work there?"

Mariana nodded back. "No, it's not that. But it would be better if we drip sweat in the company's own family, not. Grandpa painstakingly pioneered it, are we his grandchildren going to just leave him and choose to work somewhere else."

"How much stock do you have there?" ask Bima. He only wanted to see Mariana's reaction when he heard such a question.

Mariana looked down, shaking her head. His mouth chewed slowly on the food that had just entered his mouth.

"Not much?"

Mariana nodded back. "I don't hold shares."

Bima long grunt.

"Why?" ask Mariana, looking up.

"No problem. I also have nothing. Even if you leave the company, we will look for another business," replied Bima calmly.

"mmm... Bima," said Mariana.

Bima looked up slightly, sniffing his head.

"Bima, if I go bankrupt and have to return the company's money in a very large amount, will you stay, or leave me?"

"Why are you asking that?"

"Well, because as I said, I'm in big trouble at the company. The resignation letter you made, doesn't mean I won't be sued for a refund, does it."

"What's really going on?"

"Eitherway. I don't know if you can understand me or not what I'm about to tell you, but I don't need you to understand me or come up with a solution. I just want to share my problems so that my burden feels lighter."

Bima nodded, still staring flatly.

"I. they. I don't know. But the audit team, or the team that checks the office finances, finds irregularities in the office cash flow. And after being traced, they found that the missing gap was transferred to my personal account by the office account." Mariana looked down, her face between annoyance and sadness.

"Do you take the money?"

Mariana shook her head. "Of course not. My personal account never receives money from a company account other than salary."

"Then why should you be afraid."

Mariana shook her head. "I'm not afraid. I was just confused how all that could happen. I never felt like I was doing it at all, but they found my bank account" explains Mariana sadly.

"Do you think your family's been cheating by manipulating your bank's data?" Bima continues to provoke conversation, wanting to know the extent to which Mariana suspects her family.

Mariana shrugged her shoulders. "It's a lot more likely, right."

Bima again sniffed his shoulders with a flat face.

"If I were you, I'd quit the company and prove your abilities outside."

"It is not easy to find a job in an era like today, Bima."

"You're a CEO."

Mariana smiled wryly. "Gift from grandfather?"

Bima lowered her lips indifferently. "CEO is still a CEO, whether it's a gift or not. And you've proven that the company you're leading doesn't end up collapsing."

"Dhh...." Mariana let out a tired sigh, slapping her spoon and fork over the plate that was still a little left. "You think it's that easy to find a company that needs a CEO. And now you've signed my resignation, so we just have to wait for the warrant to come and then we'll really live under the bridge" she lamented.

"Are you scared?" ask Bima.

Mariana looked at the bitch. Obviously his ego was too high to say yes, but Bima knew he was anxious.

"I'm not afraid to live under a bridge, if only I had t.." the sentence hangs. Bima raised an eyebrow, waiting.

Mariana was silent, lowered her head, her hands stirring in her glass.

"I what?" tudut Bima's. Bima knew Mariana was about to say she was pregnant, but she braked on time.

Bima smiled. The new understanding sweet smile this time Mariana saw, and instantly made her stomach churn, which had nothing to do with the movement of the fetus in it.

"Why are you smiling?" mariana asked fiercely, to cover her nervousness.

"I know where you can find a job." Bima replied, deviating from what Mariana wanted.

Mariana looked at Bima in shock. "What?"

"My friend who will lend us the house, asked me to lead the branch of his company that is here. But as you can see, I...." Bima shook her head.

Mariana turned away in disbelief. "really?" tanyakanya.

Bima nodded confidently. "Yes. I can offer you to him if you want."

"But... has he not got it yet, now?"

"Yet. He just called me when you called me."

"But where is the old CEO?"

"He just spread his wings in this city. So, the company is new. Well, you should start with him. But I'm sure my friend is a very capable person."

"But... Your friend offered you that job."

Bima shook her head. "I can't."

"But you can learn."

"If you don't want to, yes. Let him find the others." Bima downed the remaining lemon water in the glass, then stood up and walked away quietly.

Mariana glared at the back of Bima who was walking away.

"Always just go away when the conversation is serious. You never gave me a chance to think and choose!" grumbled Mariana, while tidying up the old dishes they ate and washed them.

After washing the dishes, Mariana walked to the living room, where Bima was coiled on the sofa while playing a mobile phone.

"mmm... Bima," said Mariana.

Bima looked up, then sat down.

"May I take a day to think and decide. I. I mean, I'll see the condition of the company tomorrow. If it's not possible for me to return, I'll budge and retreat."

Bima again nodded his head indifferently. "As far as you go."

"But, is your friend willing to wait. Was that not impressed, I only made his company an escape after I was eliminated from my family's company?"

"Sit down." Bima patted the sofa beside her, gesturing for Mariana to sit down.

Mariana walked over, but instead of sitting next to Bima, she chose the sofas on the throne in front of her.

Bima took a deep breath. "My friend just started his company. He's looking for people he can trust to hold his company. He's not going to open that company before he gets the people he wants. So, I'm sure he can wait."

Mariana blinked twice, then her smile grew. "Thank you, Bima. I didn't expect you to have such a great friend."

Bima smiled wryly, then re-collapsed in place.

Mariana stood up, walking slowly to her room. Bima looked at Mariana's back that disappeared behind the closed door.
