"I never knew how the old man could always read someone's mind." Mariana grumbled, sitting on the edge of the bed with a sullen face.
Bima did not respond. He was still shocked at the fact that Grandpa Mariana could read someone's wishes. Bima knew very well such a person existed. But all this time he had only known his grandfather a man with a transparent aura who could sense one's intentions and desires even before that person revealed them.
"Why are you quiet?!" ask Mariana riled up.
"Eh, t-no. Its alright. I'm just, confused."
"What makes you confused?"
"Of course I'm confused. How not. This room only has one bed and I'm sure you won't let me sleep in the same bed as you" replied Bima flatly.
Mariana snorted loudly.
"You just sleep in bed. I'll sleep downstairs."
"Ha! You think I'm that cute. Let a woman sleep on a carpet while I snore on a soft bed." Bima turned around, walked into the bathroom.
ten minutes later Bima came out of the bathroom with wet hair and was wearing only a sweatshirt and knee-length pants. He pulled the pillow from Mariana's side, threw it over the fur carpet and threw his body supine on it.
"Good sleep" whispered Mariana softly.
"Hmmm" replied Bima. "Aren't you going to clean up before you go to bed?" tanyakanya.
"Yes. But I want to sleep. I'm still reading."
Quiescent. There is no answer or just a little murmur from Bima. Mariana let out a long sigh, disappointed.
"Are you not cold without a blanket?" ask Mariana. For some reason, he did not understand why he should care.
"For so long I even slept barefoot, let alone cover," replied Bima flatly.
Mariana silent. Confused how else to behave. Ever since she said her true intentions she received her marriage sentence with Bima, the man had become extremely cold and indifferent.
"Are you mad at me?" mariana asked doubtfully.
"Why should I be angry."
"Eitherway. But I feel you're mad...."
Not finished Mariana's sentence, Bima had jumped to her feet, threw a pillow beside Mariana and coiled into the blanket while hugging Mariana's waist tightly.
"Wh...."
The sound of a key in the hole, Mariana slumped into the blanket and coiled in the arms of Bima. Both eyes closed right at the door opened slowly.
Silent. There was no sound from anyone opening the door silently. Mariana's chest was pounding, her breathing was hunting. Bima clenched Mariana tighter.
It felt a century later, the sound of the door closing and the sound of the key in a slow turn.
"Ah... That old bastard!" mariana sizzled softly, as her head poked out from under the blanket and her body broke free from the clutches of Bima.
"Where did you know he was coming? I didn't even hear his footsteps." Mariana looked at Bima who was still looking at the door with a serious look.
"Shhh..." Bima put a finger on the lips. Mariana was silent, frozen.
a moment later Bima let out a long breath. "Your grandfather is terrible."
"Is it safe? Is he coming back?"
"For now it is safe. He's already downstairs. But he'll come back or not, I can't be sure. I can't feel the desire of someone like your grandfather."
Bina got out of bed, threw her pillow back on the carpet.
"Don't!"
Bima looked over, Mariana's hands outstretched. Bima raised one eyebrow.
"I mean, how about Grandpa comes back. You better sleep here. But don't you dare touch me!" Mariana quickly added when she saw Bima sitting from a supine position.
Bima standing. Do not go up to the bed, but walk near the door. Mariana looked at me confused. Then the man turned the door lock once, and turned it again half a turn. After that Bima returned to her place on the carpet.
"What are you doing?" ask Mariana.
"Lock the door."
"But Grandpa has the key. He'll come in again easily."
"Sleep. He's not going in."
"But...."
"Key that plays half a turn will not be pushed using another key from the outside." Bima cut Mariana's sentence quickly and flat, then she turned in place, turned her back to Mariana and slept.
