Marrying a Rich Bum

Marrying a Rich Bum
MYSTERY SWAMP

"Sheel." Bima muttered slowly.

"Yes. Mapala is Mariana's twin sister."

Angry bubbled up instantly in Bima, remembering the death of her mother. The extraordinary woman sacrificed herself in order to protect Bima from Mapala's attack.

"It's my fault." Grandpa Mariana's gaze fell onto the table. "Mapala escaped my tutelage, joined a mafia group at a very young age. He does not know right and wrong, yet can distinguish good and bad. All he got from his group was group solidarity, great leaders, and territorial power. So he grew up to be a deadly man and sat in the chair of the mafia leader at such a young age.

"Where did he go after the incident. I looked for him, but he just disappeared as if in the swallow of the earth."

Grandpa Mariana nodded. "She realized she had attacked the wrong person, and was secluded. Out of all the dark activities he's been in, you know it's not easy. He had to step aside and hide himself."

Bima opened her mouth, wanting to ask, but Grandpa Mariana interrupted.

"Nobody knows where the boy went, including me, if you ask me. At first I thought you had finished him off and dumped his body in the middle of the ocean. But when you retreated from your whole world, your grandfather confirmed to me that you failed to avenge your mother's death on Mapala."

Bima silence. The shadow of his mother's death loomed over his eyes. He remembered how his mother had asked in her last breaths, so that she would not seek Mapala, not avenge the man.

It was the first time Bima did not obey his mother's orders. He looked for Mapala as soon as his mother closed her eyes and exhaled for the last time. Bima ventured here and there, even refusing to go home, only to find Mapala. But until this moment, he met Mariana, Mapala did not succeed him to find.

"Grandfather...."

"I know you're disappointed. I'm sorry."

"Did Mariana know about all this?"

"No, unless you tell him."

Bima silence.

"I leave Mariana's luck to you. I know you're not getting married out of compulsion, but I hope you can help Mariana get out of her shit."

"I'll try, Cake. It's a little harder with the shadow of Mapala as her twin sister and the death of my mother, but I'll try to convince myself that Mariana doesn't know anything."

"Sorry to burden you with this."

Can I do it my way? I promise I won't let you down."

Grandpa Mariana nodded. "Don't I tell you, I leave Mariana's luck to you."

Bima nodded back.

"I only told you one thing. If my death is unnatural, then the acquisition of my company."

"What?!"

"But how...."

"No need to play stocks, because you're not a reliable stockbroker. First, I entrust the sale of my shares in your hands. I want you to take it out when you find the impropriety of my death. But if my death is natural, I leave my will to you for Mariana."

"How does that mean?"

"You'll find the answers to everything in my coffin."

Bima stared confusedly.

"Didn't you see that my aura of death is getting closer?" ask Grandpa Mariana.

Bima shook her head.

"Only one layer is blocked. And that layer is Mariana. Currently, Mariana had already been disrespectfully demoted from her CEO post. Just waiting for time for him to be banished from the company, and from a large family, because it is considered to have tarnished the family's good name."

"Have they planned all this?"

Grandpa Mariana nodded confidently.

"Bre!"

Grandpa Mariana frowned. "I don't think you care so much about Mariana?" tanyakanya.

"No. Mariana is still a nobody in my heart. Just the woman I helped, that's all. But still their behavior is bre."

Grandpa Mariana let out a long sigh. "I knew. All this is because since childhood their mothers have always triggered a fierce competition between them. Who is the champion, he will get everything he wants, including the favorite belongings of who is in the last position. Competition is fucked. Cheating doesn't count for offense, the most important thing is that you win. Their empathy is dead. Never cared about his brother's condition." Grandpa Mariana stared brightly, reminiscing about the childhood of her children. Bima watched with a slick feeling. Wrong upbringing. That was the first thing Bima thought of.

"But with their ability to read auras, it should be that competition could be very balanced, right."

Grandpa Mariana shook her head. "None of my sons has inherited a viewing gene like me. I myself was a little surprised when Mariana and Mapala inherited it, even the power is so great."

"Why is that?"

"The gene is not actually a hereditary gene. But genes of discovery. In this world, only me, Galang's grandfather, and your grandfather have it."

Bima gawking.

"The three of us were friends. At the age of 16, the three of us went on a long journey to prove your grandfather's discovery of an ancient manuscript of a swamp that holds the mystery of the human aura."

Bina widened in shock, staring at Grandpa Mariana in disbelief.
