Marrying a Rich Bum

Marrying a Rich Bum
SARAH'S MEETING

Somewhere else...

Mariana sat with her head slightly bowed, her gaze soft.

"Are you thinking about your mom and dad?" bima asked, stroking Mariana's head patiently. Mariana looked over, looking at Bima.

"What do you think they think. Did they forgive me. Or, they'll be nice to me because who are we now?"

"We? What do you mean you?" bima asked, frowning. His hand moved down to grab Mariana's fingers and clasped them. "Listen, Mariana. I'm still me. A simple man with the mercy of his friend. That's moving up that, you."

Mariana shook her head. "I can't believe you're that simple. Although for now you haven't removed your mask, but I'm sure one day I'll find a handsome prince behind your giant figure."

"Am I that scary?" ask Bima protest.

Mariana laughed, her face brightened again. "Yes, when that cold and haughty aura comes enveloping you, you are even more sinister than the giant beauty and the beast. You look more like the snow mountain mammoth that so dominates power."

Bima stared disapprovingly at Mariana. "Mammoths?"

Mariana nodded confidently. "You know what, Bima? Only the big guys are capable of giving off a domineering cold aura like you did earlier. That's why I'm sure someday I'll find a handsome prince behind the poor mask you're playing with right now. Although I don't know what the reason is, but I'm sure it has something to do with the woman you told me about."

Bima was silent, her gaze straight ahead towards the empty streets.

"Don't expect too much if you don't want to fall."

"I'm not expecting. I guessed, without expecting more. But my instincts rarely miss."

Bima smiled miris.

"Do you want to see your parents?"

Mariana was silent for a moment, before shaking her head. "not now. I don't want them to accept me because I'm the CEO of a big company that's going to compete with the family company."

Bima nodded at a glance without asking much more.

Meanwhile at Grandpa Mariana's residence....

"He betrayed our family, Grandpa!" Hendra shouted in anger.

Grandpa Mariana smiled calmly as she sipped the green tea in the sango cup.

"He's just trying to get on with life, if you don't know yet. Her husband is out of work, has no home and no savings, he is thrown from the only field where he is looking for money and kicked from home where he could have taken shelter when the storm strikes. It's not easy to get through such conditions without feeling crazy, Hendra. Moreover, Mariana is pregnant, as you said."

"Yes. But he wouldn't have been able to take the CEO position all of a sudden without someone involved, Grandpa. You know how cruel the game is inside a company." Hendra insisted.

"Then what do you want by reporting it to me. I frankly was a bit clueless about what I meant by coming here to bring the news."

"Look. Mariana must have sold her body. That kid is really embarrassing and has smeared this family's good name."

Grandpa Mariana frowned. "Where can you conclude such a thing. Was Mariana's husband not with her?" asked Grandpa Mariana, frowning.

Hendra nodded slowly. "She's with her husband."

"You guys are like people who don't have more important jobs, yeah. Why would you take care of Mariana's life even after you kicked her out of our family, if her husband didn't even bother about her at all. If I were to guess, you guys seem to be a little envious of Mariana's luck," Grandpa Mariana said calmly, still among the rest of her laughter that had not yet subsided.

The three youths before him froze, unable to speak.

"K-we.... I admit Mariana's luck is a bit above average, Cake. Kind of envious, yeah." Leo admitted his embarrassment.

"Luck?!" hendra asked fiercely, turning sharply towards Leo as soon as her consciousness returned. "That's not luck. But because he justifies every means including selling himself for treasure and throne."

Grandpa Mariana's low laughter still sounded. The old man stood up, brought his empty cup of coffee to the kitchen and placed it in the sink.

"Quite joking, kids. It's better now that you get back to work and show that you can do better than Mariana" Grandpa Mariana said, walking to the front of the television and starting to turn it on.

Hendra, Noel and Leo got up from their places, feeling driven away they walked out back into the car and slid away.

Hendra tracked the gas pedal at a speed well above average, honking loudly as a shiny black car blocked his way as it turned into a luxury restaurant.

"Isn't that Hendra's car?" ask Mariana more to herself.

Bima glanced at the car that was sliding like a burroq on a deserted street.

"Why him?" mariana asked looking at the place where the car had just disappeared.

"Of course you can guess it, right," said Bima calmly.

Mariana smiled slightly. "Did that affect him so much?"

Bima went down, then ran to Mariana's side and opened the door for her.

"I guess, yes. They all seem very shaken by your success, especially Hendra. Because he wanted you the most to disappear."

"Why is that?" mariana asked, getting out of the car and walking side by side with Bima towards the entrance of the restaurant.

"I don't know it yet."

"Are you gonna find out?"

"Is that important to you?"

Mariana shook her head. "Not really."

"Then why should we take care of the lives of others. Let them take care of their own lives and we I guess will enjoy." the words of the bima hang. In front of them at this time, stood the figure of a beautiful woman ala-Korean woman with a tall skinny posture and leg tie, wearing a black dress of flowers three inches below the knee.

"Hi, Bima. It just so happened to meet you here, didn't it?" ask the woman.

Buma froze for a moment before finally smiling cynically. "Oh, yeah. Coincidentally arranged, no," said Bima coldly.

Bima turned her head to Mariana who was staring in astonishment at Bima and the woman took turns.

"There's no need to get acquainted, but you should know, honey. She's Sarah, as I told you."
