Ch. 49

Everyone who was there was so shocked to hear Melvin say. Except Eudora. Because Eudora had known for a long time that they would never get married and Melvin also said that he had an unexplained relationship with Angel.

"Melvin what do you mean ?" ask grandpa Adam start emotions.

"Melvin why are you saying that ?" asked Nia who was also surprised by Melvin's words.

Nia hoped her son would not embarrass the family by breaking off this engagement relationship impolitely.

"Sorry, cake, grandma, ma, pa" said Melvin, looking at the faces of his family who looked surprised and disappointed.

Then Melvin turned to look at his future in-laws.

"Sorry, um, aunt. I'm actually married."

Again Melvin's successful speech made everyone surprised for the second time. But this time Abraham was not only surprised, he was even angry because he felt played. Abraham stood up to leave. His pride was trampled by Melvin's confession.

"Let's go home" Abraham said to his wife and son.

"Wait, dad. Melvin's sister will explain everything." Eudora prevents mommy and her daddy from leaving in order to hear Melvin's explanation.

Eudora was also shocked to hear Melvin's confession and she also wanted to know how it could happen.

"Eudora Enough. We don't need to hear any explanation." Abraham, who was enveloped in anger, dragged Eudora's still unmoved hand.

He did not accept because he felt Melvin had cheated and played tricks on his daughter.

"Sorry Mr. Abraham, we'd better listen to Melvin's explanation first. He must have had a reason why he did this." Abizar who has been silent since then now speaks.

He didn't want Abraham to get out of his house with a misunderstanding. Abizar believes his son must have had his reasons for his confession.

Abraham, who had walked a few steps and turned his body, heard Abizar's request. Abizar's strong authority made Abraham still able to respect him even though Abraham was in a very angry state.

Melvin took a deep breath before telling her everything.

"I got married a year ago abroad while on a business trip there" Melvin said.

Melvin tells how they met and were married. Melvin even called Leon to be a witness.

"It's all nothing to do with me" said Abraham, who was lazy to listen to an explanation from Melvin.

It is not important and has nothing to do with it. Melvin was just looking for sympathy so he wouldn't be blamed.

"Who is that woman and where is she now ?" ask Adam's grandfather after Melvin's finished telling him.

Why didn't Melvin bring the woman to be introduced to them.

Melvin didn't answer his grandfather's question. He looked at Abraham.

"The woman was the first daughter of Lord Abraham William" Melvin replied, still staring at Abraham.

And for the third time Melvin took everyone by surprise. Especially Abraham and Sonia. Abraham immediately took the file on the table placed by Melvin earlier. He wanted to see if what Melvin said was true or not.

Abraham closed the dossier after examining the authenticity and validity of the marriage documents between Melvin and Angel. Although the name of the woman in the document was not the real Angel, Abraham knew it was his daughter who used a false identity. Even Angel's passport, identity card and fake diploma are in his hands now.

After Abraham put the file down. It was Adam's grandfather's turn to take it. He felt like the memories of thirty years ago were repeated when Abizar came to bring the wedding file with his daughter, Nia.

"Hem, it seems that the descendants of the son really like to keep the marriage a secret" said Adam's grandfather insinuated Abizar while giving the file to his son-in-law.

"Mr Abraham. Me, Melvin Putra would like to ask you to grant my marriage to your daughter, Aurora Angela Wiliam."

Melvin did not propose but immediately asked Abraham for his blessing. Melvin was very hopeful that his father-in-law would bless their marriage so that he could have Angel completely. A woman who has made her emotions and feelings go upside down.
