Ch. 41

Ever since his meeting with Melvin at the party venue two weeks ago Angel has always been feeling misgivings. Afraid that the man will show up at any time and do what he does not want.

Angel is currently in his father's Black Diamond company. Angel has started working there to help her daddy. Without hesitation, Abraham put Angel as a deputy director at his company. Angel will also inherit the company. Abraham did not need to doubt the ability of his first daughter. When Angel was overseas, he also served as deputy director for two years at the company led by his uncle, Tama.

The sound of the incoming message notification distracts Angel on her work. He immediately took his phone.

"I'm waiting at restaurant x at lunchtime."

Angel put her phone back and ignored the message. But just now Angel raised his hand from his phone there was a notification of incoming messages again.

"If you don't come, I'll tell Mr. Abraham everything."

Angel rolled her eyes lazily reading the message containing the threat. Who else is the sender if not from Melvin who likes to be pushy and threatening. Even though Angel had changed the number just looked at the man who could figure it out.

Melvin smiled seeing a woman dressed formally walking gracefully towards him. Sexy images never escape from an Aurora Angela Wiliam. Despite wearing formal clothes she still looks sexy and charming in the eyes of everyone.

"What's up ?" ask Angel to the point as soon as it arrives in front of Melvin.

There was no friendly tone when she spoke to the man who was already her husband.

"Sit. I just wanted to take my wife to lunch." replied Melvin.

There's nothing important Melvin wanted to talk to Angel about. And even if they talk, they will not find a solution. Because their goals and desires are different.

"It's a waste of time" said Angel.

Instead of pulling the seat, Angel turned her body to get out. Melvin didn't prevent the woman from leaving.

"Open the door." Angel stared intently at the smiling Melvin.

Melvin had expected this to happen because that's why he ordered a private room and after Angel entered he told his man to lock the door so that Angel could not escape.

"You're in a hurry. Lunch time is still long" said Melvin who was completely ignored by Angel.

Angel took her phone to ask for help.

"What would you answer if your Daddy asked why you're locked in here with me ?"

Angel stopped her hand that was about to press the green button to Abraham's dad number when she heard Melvin's remark. Why would this man know if he would ask Abraham's father for help.

Angel did not cancel her intention to ask for help. But not to the father but to Louise. But after several calls Louise did not answer. The call is connected.

Melvin smiles triumphantly at Angel's visibly upset face. Louise won't answer Angel's call because Melvin is already working with the man.

"You better be here. Eat with me and then we go. I won't keep you here forever. Not yet."

Finally, Angel was forced to obey Melvin's orders. Showing off was also useless in the presence of this man. Because Melvin will still impose his will even though he refuses. Angel also felt that her stomach was hungry.

Both of them eat in silence. Angel was lazy to talk to Melvin. He was eager to say to end this marriage. But because the mood is bad so Angel chose to be quiet.

"Now open the door" said Angel as soon as she finished her meal.

Melvin is done eating. Then he picked up his phone and sent someone a message. Seeing that, Angel immediately got up from her seat and walked towards the exit. When I opened the door, it was still locked. Angel wants to be angry with Melvin. But when he turned around, he was so surprised to find Melvin was standing right behind him.
