Ch. 34

Melvin abrogates his intention to meet Mr. Abraham after his meeting with Louise. Melvin no longer thinks about his engagement. His grandfather and grandmother had arrived one day before the event. Adam smiled to see his now neat grandson wearing a white suit. Soon they will be going to the Pure Paradise Hotel where Melvin and Eudora are engaged.

"Thank you for fulfilling my grandfather's request." Adam patted Melvin on the shoulder.

The old man looked up somewhat to talk to his grandson because Melvin was taller than him.

I'm sorry cake. Melvin said, but only in his heart.

Actually Melvin did not have the heart to lie to his grandfather. But this concerns the life he will live for a lifetime. Melvin stared one by one the faces of his mother, father, grandfather and grandmother. They look very happy. Moreover, the grandfather who has taken care of, educated him and taught him to be a businessman. Never once did his grandfather ask or demand anything from him other than this matchmaking.

"Come, we're leaving now" Adam's grandfather said after seeing Adira and Arkan out of the room.

His granddaughter was a little troublesome because she had to breastfeed her baby first, who was now one year old before leaving.

At seventy-thirty p.m., Melvin and the family arrived at the venue. The invited guests had also been many who were present filled the room. Melvin's eyes began to scour around to look for someone who might be among the guests present there.

Of course Melvin's looking for Angel. The woman who has been two months is disturbing the mind and making it unfocused in work. Melvin's gaze then turned to the figure of someone who was also looking at him. They stared at each other.

Melvin's eye gaze implied a question to the person as if asking 'Where is he ?'. But that person who was none other than Louise only pulled the corner of her lips thin once.

Yeah, Louise promised Melvin she'd tell him where Angel was. Even that guy will help her to get Angel.

Melvin wants to step foot into Louise to collect the man's promise. But a WO staff first called Melvin to sit in a place that has been prepared because soon the event will begin.

A lively applause filled the room as Melvin sheathed the ring on Eudora's finger. And vice versa. Both Melvin and Eudora forced smiles before everyone.

Today Melvin came to the Boison Group company to meet Louise. The reason is three days after the engagement but Louise has not kept her promise to say where Angel is.

"Are you trying to fool me ?" melvin asked angrily as soon as he entered Louise's room.

"I don't hesitate to cancel this engagement." Melvin threatened.

Melvin thinks Louise did this because she didn't want her cousin's family to be embarrassed if Melvin called off the engagement the other day.

"A Maxim would never break his promise. You're the one who's impatient." Louise said calmly.

The man was not at all provoked by Melvin's anger.

"Sit down and look at this" Louise said again as she shifted her laptop.

"What ?" ask Melvin who doesn't want Louise to play him.

"Your weird woman" replied Louise.

Hearing Louise mention the strange woman must be Angel. Melvin walked closer to Louise's desk and pulled the laptop that Louise was prodding.
