The two were busy grilling bird meat in the backyard. The cold night was a little warm from the burning wood. Lucy started putting the spiced meat on the grill.

It was past 10pm, but they were still busy cooking dinner. Actually, Lucy did it for Arzen. He only wanted to appreciate the man's efforts after hunting.

"It's still hot, you wait a minute" he told Arzen.

The man sat on a chair with a table beside him. He saw how the roasted meat gave off a delicious aroma. That shiny color was tempting to his appetite.

"Is it still a long time?" asked the impatient Arzen.

Lucy didn't look around because she was busy flipping through the flesh. "If it's not too hot, you can eat it" he said.

"No. I'm asking you, are you still doing that?" ask Arzen again.

This time Lucy turned her head, "You want me to stop grilling?" Arzen nodded in response.

"Yes, actually this is going to be finished, I can save the rest of the marine meat for tomorrow" said Lucy.

Arzen frowned, "You like to eat carrion, huh? Strange man" he said.

"Huh? Don't you know that meat that has been seasoned like this can still be stored?" ask Lucy.

"After all, humans don't eat carrion. I'll keep it in the fridge to make it last longer."

He approached Arzen after shrinking the fire for them to warm themselves. The man told her to sit in front of him. Lucy just complied and sat there.

"What's wrong?"

Arzen thrust out a small piece of bird meat. "You try it first" he asked.

Lucy smiled mischievously. "Oho, you seem to care about humans" he said.

"Don't be too confident. I want you to feel whether there's poison or not" said Arzen who returned haughty to Lucy.

The girl fiddled her eyes, "You sacrificed my life just for this!? Fuck up!" his gerrick.

Even so, he still accepted some of it and ate it. His eyes sparkled when he knew his cooking this time was not bad. The seasoning is properly pervasive and feels tender chewed.

"Hm, I am indeed a genius," he said cheerfully praising himself.

Lucy went back inside the house. He picked up a pot and a cup of warm tea. He poured it for Arzen and himself.

"It's suitable for eating meat" he said.

"There's a bitter scent, is this poison?" tanya Arzen was suspicious.

Lucy breathed in annoyed. "Would that phrase be taken out by the person who wants me to check the poison in the food?! You wolf!"

Arzen used a silver fork nearby to detect the warm tea. No color change at the end. That means there's no poison in there.

"Aren't you afraid of silver?" lucy asked as she saw Arzen holding a fork.

Arzen shook his head, "There's no spell attached to his fork, so it's okay" he said.

Lucy smiled cunningly, "Good, I'll chant the prayers on every piece of silverware."

Arzen said, "You want to hurt Loofyn?!"

Lucy laughed making the man look at her confusedly. "Jeez, you're serious" he said.

"I think silver alone is enough to kill a werewolf" he continued.

"So, you intend to eliminate Loofyn?" ask Arzen full of probes.

Lucy shook her head, "I have absolutely no such intention. Because, I didn't know that Loofyn was a wolf. He was human when he was stranded at my doorstep" he said.

Arzen stops eating when he hears Lucy's statement. His eyes stared blankly at the still burning flames to give warm. He looked at the two people he missed.

"Did you see it?" ask Arzen.

"Who took Loofyn to your house?"

Lucy poked, "I saw no one but Loofyn in his basket."

That answer made Arzen look desperate. Lucy realized that, she also flicked her meal. The atmosphere was suddenly awkward and heavy.

"Why did you abandon your son here?" ask Lucy.

I don't know where he got the courage to ask that. Though he knew it was a sensitive topic for Arzen. The man was still pensive in his chair.

"I didn't abandon him. I was on duty at the palace at the time" he said.

"Didn't you remember how Loofyn was?" Lucy asked again.

Arzen shook his head, "I told his mother to take him away from the scene" he said.

"Where is his mother now? I thought you were here with your wife to get your son back" Lucy said.

At that moment, Lucy realized her stupidity. He shouldn't have talked about the problems that the wolf family had. He knows he has entered the privacy of others.

And now, he cursed her in his heart. Both let the meat cool. Arzen is dissolved in a daydream about the events of the day, while Lucy regrets it in her heart.

"A–anu, I'm sorry. Assume I've never spoken anything before."

Lucy finally opened her voice after a long while of silence. Arzen scattered his daydream and nodded. The girl cleaned up the rest of the dinner that was not entirely touched.

"Hey, man," call Arzen.

Lucy was puffed up, "I'm a human, but I have a name" she said a little annoyed.

Arzen doesn't care about that. He looked up at the midnight starry sky. His sky remained the same even though he was in a different world.

"Where is that here?" ask Arzen.

Lucy sat back in the chair and sipped the aroma of tea. "Here yea in my house, on earth," he said doubtfully.

No word from Arzen makes Lucy understand that's not what she meant. "Ah, this is the human world, I don't know what you call this world, but I'm sure it's the human world" he said.

"Where are you from?" ask Lucy.

"Magical world, there are humans there too" he said.

Lucy turns her head, "He? Did ya? I thought it contained only your people, elves, dwarves, vampires, orcs, and the like."

Arzen turned, "You know them? You ever been to the magical world?"

Lucy shook her head, "Absolutely not and don't let it. I just guessed it because I read a fairy tale book about a magical world" he said.

"bulls? You said fairy tale? You didn't see me actually in front of you and had time to use my true form earlier!" Arzen said quickly for not accepting being labeled a 'fairytale' by humans.

"Why is this so easy to get emotional?"

Lucy sighed, "I never dreamed this would happen to me. I don't know why God put Loofyn in my house and took care of me."

"I didn't think he was a werewolf. It's too unnatural that I don't know how to react to it" he explained at length.

He looked at Arzen, "Especially you who suddenly changed from a wolf into a half-naked man."

"The human reason will not arrive. Therefore, they think this is imagination," Lucy said.

He sipped his tea which was still warm. Arzen looked at him not understanding. He was not satisfied with what Lucy said.

"Did you really not see who brought Loofyn here?" ask Arzen again.

Lucy shook her head, "Unfortunately, not at all."
