Love Baby Wolf's

Love Baby Wolf's
The Story on the Hill of Luxeas City

"Have you ever been left for dead by your partner?"

The question posed by Arzen made the atmosphere become silent. As if there was distance and awkwardness between them. Arzen turned his gaze away from Lucy who was pensive.

Then the girl smiled faintly. "Not until he was left dead. I'm not as tragic as you might think" he joked.

"Well, what's called a farewell must hurt, right?"

Arzen agreed with that. He looked towards Loofyn who was playing around with other animals. So happy without knowing what had happened to her.

Suddenly his chest felt tight. He could not imagine how the farewell between Loofyn and his mother would be that day. Moreover, he must trust humans after all that has happened.

"Hey, man."

Lucy turned her head, "I told you, I have a name. Huft... What's wrong?"

"Please promise me."

Lucy doesn't understand, "What do you mean? Why make a promise to a haughty creature like you?" ask her jokingly.

The deep gaze from Arzen made her fixated. He knew it was not the time to joke. The man actually asked her to promise him something.

"Promise for what?"

Arzen turned his gaze on Loofyn. "Please promise not to hurt Loofyn."

Lucy felt a warmth from the look on Arzen's face. Although he is big and sometimes arrogant, Arzen still thinks of the little wolf. Lucy smiled at Arzen, she nodded.

"I can't promise—"

He stopped his sentence because Arzen suddenly turned his head. There was a look of hope and anger in his eyes. Lucy sighs, surprised to think she will be eaten by Arzen.

"Look, you can't interrupt my words."

Lucy asks that Arzen turn into a human first. He needs to sit face to face if he wants to talk about something serious. The man responded, and now the two sat facing each other.

"What do you want to say?" ask Arzen.

"The reason why I can't promise or even fulfill your request" Lucy said.

He explained how his life was short. Before Loofyn came, he had no parenting experience at all. He is just an ordinary employee who every day is fulfilled by the duties of the company.

"Loofyn was lucky that his mother took him on my day off. If only the next day I had to work, Loofyn would have to take me to an orphanage" he said.

"Work? The office? A holiday? The parlour?" Arzen muttered repeating words he did not know before.

Even so, he did not interrupt the girl to talk. He waited until Lucy was done and allowed her to speak. Her eyes never came out and continued to notice how Lucy spoke softly.

"Well, it's more or less like that" he concluded a few minutes later.

Arzen sighed, "That's it, huh? So, you're taking care of Loofyn because it just so happens that this week there's no activity?"

Lucy nodded, "Hm, that's it."

"What does it mean you have to work in? What'sthat?" ask Arzen.

Lucy caught the cute expression of the man in front of her. Completely different from the haughty Arzen. He clasped his hands with a confused face understanding a few words.

The girl held back her mischievous smile. He was trying to seduce Arzen. "Hm? The wolf that he said was the successor to this throne did not know about the human world? Hmm...?"

The man looked at her dislike. His eyebrows are almost met. "Just answer my question, man!"

Lucy finally let go of her laughter. He held his stomach tingly. Arzen looked at him more and more cobbled.

"What's so funny, huh?!" annoyed sergeant.

"Basically, I didn't think there was another side to your usual haughty face" Lucy said after stopping laughing.

He sighed, "So, work is when humans do something to earn money—"

Lucy nodded her head, "Alright wolf master.so, the office is a place where humans gather to work. They work together to achieve a variety of goals."

"If one goal has been achieved, they will get money" he said.

Arzen still doesn't understand completely. However, what he imagined was a market-like state in the magical world. There are a lot of races out there working together and making money.

"Sort of market?" guess it and Lucy nodded, "More or less so."

"Then, a holiday?"

"A holiday is a day where I don't do that. The office will provide a provision on the amount and when employees will get a day off," Lucy replied.

"You don't need money?" asked Arzen with a plain face.

Lucy doesn't want stomach pain. He held back his laughter, "I will still be paid even if I take the day off" he said.

"Huh? It doesn't make sense! Then everyone will be rich without work" Arzen said.

Lucy explains to Arzen how the human world works. Although he had a chance to spin in the head, Arzen began to understand one by one. He sometimes tilts his head or closes his eyes if he does not understand.

"Argh, the human world is so complicated!" said riled.

"So, what about Loofyn if you're going to work?" ask Arzen.

Lucy turned to Loofyn who was asleep in the grass. "Hm, after I found out about you guys, I couldn't have taken her to an orphanage" she said.

"I'm afraid Loofyn can't control his powers and instead bears fruit at inopportune times."

"Ah, how about you guys stay on this hill sa—"

Arzen already showed a face of disapproval. "I told you you can't get too far away!"

"Ah, right.my office is also far from home. I can't take him to the office either!" Lucy breathed heavily.

He scooped his face up, "Ha, you should have brought him home before the contract was established" he said.

Arzen pondered about it. Actually he knew when the inner contract between the two of them was intertwined. He can't tell Lucy because he doesn't know why.

"You also can't live in an apartment.huft, where there are wolves living in the apartment," said Lucy.

Arzen was confused again, "Human, you like to use unfamiliar words" he said.

"You're the only one who doesn't know! Though this is very common here," said Lucy.

"You said to me, huh?! Fucking man!" Arzen clasped tighter and tighter in front of his chest.

Lucy did the same. He turned his face away. Arzen kept calling him 'human' and it made him feel strange.

Arzen stood over to Loofyn. He carried the little wolf in his lap. Gently stroked his head and kept him asleep.

"I'm going to find a way to break your inner contract" Arzen said after a moment of silence.

Lucy smiled, "Good, you need to search as soon as possible and go home immediately. If you can't come back to the human world!"

"That's my plan."

Arzen lowered his gaze. He stared at the grass that was swaying in the wind. "But before that I have to find out where Loofyn's mother is," she said.

"Haaa, if you plan to be in the human world for a long time, you need to find a place to live as soon as possible." Lucy stood up and stretched her stiff waist muscles.

"Unfortunately, the residential complex where I live is full" he continued.

"Therefore, Loofyn and I will stay at your house until I find a way."

Lucy turns her head, "Ha?!"
