Make Peace with Rumors

The drap! The drap!

"Well, Mr. Sean just left, Miss Karen."

Lucy turned around to face someone who was resentfully approaching her. He even deliberately sounded his footsteps to be heard by Lucy. Karen stared intently as anger piled up in her eyes.

"What are you talking about?" ask Karen.

Lucy stared at the document, "I'm not sure this information should be shared with anyone else who isn't directly involved with the project" she said.

Both of Karen's eyes widened. He did not expect to be insulted like this by the girl. Lucy doesn't feel like she's attacking anyone.

The girl just did the rules she should. It has no right to divulge data to non-involved parties. Unfortunately Karen was not included in the project this time.

"Excession! Who do you think I am, ha!? You forget I'm already a manager here? I'm better than those employees!" she jolted at Lucy.

Lucy took a breath. He wanted to retaliate but was lazy to serve people like Karen. "The other Manager didn't come along and didn't protest like you, tuh," he replied.

Lucy's intention is to tell Karen. But it seems that the woman did not take it for granted. He thought he was the only one not invited.

"You! Watch mouth! I can take your position whenever I want!" the whisper threatened Lucy.

Lucy nodded, "I'll wait for the lady on the day it happens" he replied.

He could not understand why Karen was attacking him. Especially under CCTV that is active this time Karen did not hesitate. If something were to happen, Karen would have gotten her own stone.

"Then what was that?!" karen's snarl made Lucy close her eyes.

The girl replied casually, "Which one do you mean?"

"What did Sean's gaze mean at the end?! You think you deserve to be next to her!? You think you deserve her look!?" jolt Karen many times.

Lucy glanced at her watch. "Hm? Is it done, miss? I have to have a meeting soon after this," he said, shifting the topic. He knew he didn't have to answer any unnecessary questions from Karen.

Feeling ignored, Karen prepared to throw her slap. Lucy prevented him by rebuffing. He pointed to the CCTV above them.

"You can lose your manager position if you keep slapping me, Miss Karen," he whispered.

This time Karen couldn't. He almost got out of the manager's chair. He should have just destroyed all the CCTV here, he thought.

"I think I wasted too much time. I have to go" said Lucy, then turned away from there.

"Lucy!" cry Karen.

Lucy turned her head, "It looks like the manager has too much free time to be able to chat like this" she said.

"I will discuss the schedule for the manager with Mr. Sean" he said with great emphasis at the end of the sentence.

Lucy actually sauntered from there. Karen has made a silence. The woman wagged her long hair in annoyance.

"You! Basic jal*ng!" it's in the heart.

Meanwhile Lucy sped her way into the elevator. He kept pressing the button to quickly get to the 7th floor and no one would come in. He leaned against the elevator wall.

His hands were trembling, he had been holding it since. He was honest in his heart that he was scared. Lucy felt that it wasn't like her.

He felt like someone else when he fought Karen. His heart beats so fast. His legs limp plus sore because all day wearing heels.

"What have I done? What exactly is going on?" mind's restless.

He hurried out of the elevator and went back into his room. Close the door tightly and lean behind it. He was sitting but still limp all over his body.

"Why am I afraid? I can handle it. I can get through it" he murmured.

Finally she cried in silence. Avoiding Sean all day also made him confused himself. He felt awkward and scared.

He was afraid he could not work well. Burdening people who believe in him makes him hurt himself. More horrible than the rumors Karen spread.

He did not know anyone would photograph him secretly during an afternoon walk with Arzen. Lucky in the photo did not show Arzen's face. He would feel more guilty for involving otherworldly beings.

"Arzene..."

Lucy immediately wiped away the trace of her tears. He stood up and made his appearance. The sound of knocking on the door surprised him.

"Ba–baik," he said.

He opens and Sean appears in front of him. The man was waiting for Lucy to come out. "Did Miss Lucy have a minute?" ask Sean.

Lucy nodded, "Is there anything I can help you with, sir?"

"How about going to my room? There are important things to be discussed" he said.

Actually, Lucy hesitated to speak four eyes in Sean's room. He was afraid that the rumor would happen again. CCTV is also installed on the 7th floor for security reasons.

He stood in the doorway before Sean asked him to sit down. The man sat in front of Lucy. He handed me a box of vanilla cupcake desserts.

"I want to apologize to Miss Lucy for the rumors that circulated yesterday" he said softly.

"Eh? It's not my fault" said Lucy.

Sean nodded, "Indeed, the photo is not me. But the rumor says you're with me."

"I should have clarified as soon as possible. I'm sorry for the unfortunate incident, too," he said.

"Please accept, this is as my apology." Lucy received the box containing the dessert.

"Sa–I'm sorry too, sir. I should have been more courageous and intelligent to deal with problems like this" he said.

"For the dessert, thank you."

Sean sighed and chuckled. "Ah, I guess Miss Lucy hates me," he said.

"Eh?! How can I hate my boss?" Lucy stared innocently.

"Sa–I avoid the father because I fear there will be other rumors that befall the father," he explained.

Sean breathed a sigh of relief. "I guess I will work with a gripping atmosphere in the future" he said.

"Miss Lucy take it easy, I've posted a clarification. What do you want for a press release?" ask Sean.

Lucy refused quickly, "There's no need to get there, sir. It's just a rumor in the office. No need to be enlarged," he said.

"Is that? All right, that means this problem is over" Sean said.

"Well, although at this time I still insist on investigating who the spreaders of baseless rumors are," he continued while stroking his forehead in frustration.

Lucy lows. If found out, Karen could have attacked him again. The woman will accuse him of being a complainant.

"But Sean himself found out. Huh, after all who here is making a troublemaker?" thought.

Lucy nodded. The two talked again about the project. They are no longer awkward because they have made peace.

Lucy returned to her room with relief. He also eats a cupcake given by Sean. Suddenly his phone rang indicating someone called him.

"Peter? What's up, huh?" thought.

"Hello, what's up, Peter?"

"A, Lucy. Do you have time after work?"
