"Lucy, good morning! Well, you always leave so early?"
Someone greeted me from behind. The girl looked up and smiled. "Good morning too, Peter. You also left so early apparently," he said hello.
The man was Lucy's co-worker, Peter Brownstone. He is a marketing manager at the company. They were actually once a class in High School.
"It's the first time we've met after graduation" Peter said.
"Not really, we've had one office for two years" Lucy said.
Peter rubbed his nape, "Although that's the case, we've never greeted each other like this. You meet the CEO more often than I do" he said at the end of the sentence.
The atmosphere became silent as they entered the elevator. Lucy said nothing to respond. He had no interesting topics to talk about, nor did Peter.
However, when the elevator starts to run, Peter turns to Lucy who is standing away from him. "How about we have lunch together? It's been a long time since school days" he said.
Lucy seemed to think, "Maybe, let me know later," she said, accepting Peter's offer.
Inwardly, the man wanted to shout in pleasure. He did not expect that the girl would accept his offer. Because all this time, he could only watch her from afar without being able to say hello.
It can't mean it won't. Lucy is always surrounded by important people in the company. No wonder his position is the CEO secretary.
The girl rarely went downstairs because she was near the CEO's office. The room itself is on the 7th floor, while it is on the 4th floor. 3 Floors to get to Lucy.
"I know it's late, how have you been and your days?" ask Peter.
Lucy let out a light sigh, "Well, it's quite calm and a little light" she said.
In his head he imagined the current state of the house. It must be messy again because there are two magical creatures that are ready to ruffle the entire house. He suspects that now Arzen and Loofyn are eating something from the refrigerator.
"That's it, huh? It's worth it that you've been looking happy lately. Not as grim as it used to be" said Peter jokingly at the end of the sentence.
Lucy chuckles, "Really? Good, I'm also a passion for work," he said.
Hearing that Peter actually disliked it a little. He thinks Lucy's excited because she's always with Sean, their CEO. It's a rare opportunity to be with Lucy without Sean.
Ting!
"Eh? You're down on the 4th floor too, Lucy?" peter asked as they stepped out of the elevator.
Lucy nodded, "There's a file I need to copy. The engine above is being repaired" he said.
"Want me to help? I happen to be still free. People haven't come much yet, so it hasn't been busy" Peter said, offering help.
She doesn't understand that Lucy is an independent woman. He will not ask for help unless it is an emergency or necessary. Lucy always does everything herself.
"Thank you for offering, but I can still do it myself." The girl headed for the copy machine and left Peter near the entrance.
Peter could only look at Lucy. Again from a distance and let the girl do it herself. He feels like a loser because he can't do anything small for Lucy.
When you look around, the girl is indeed deft. He does everything neatly. His job was like a good friend, rarely did he see Lucy make a mistake.
"Can't I do something for you?" ask Peter.
Lucy didn't look but said, "Hm? I don't think there is. Thanks for asking," he replied.
"Huh, it's finally finished before the meeting hour" Lucy murmured.
Peter was standing by his desk. He always looked at Lucy. His every move always caught Peter's attention.
"Do you have any time for the weekend, Lucy?" ask Peter who has also started working.
Lucy turned her head, "See, I haven't seen the schedule. What's up?"
"Eh, wait...! I can leave those wolves in my house!?" his inner.
He imagined how the house would be if left all day. When coming home from work that is not until the afternoon is no longer because. He often resists the annoyance of seeing things strewn on the floor.
Arzen always gets angry but not kapok too. He could not scold Loofyn for being a child and did not understand. Lucy sighed, feeling she was taking care of two babies.
"Basic, his name is emperor! The real big baby!" his gerrick.
"....cafe in front of the museum. How, are you going there, Lucy?"
Lucy heard Peter's final words. He did not focus on Peter's long story because he thought of two wolves in his house. Lucy always thinks of them at work.
"Eh? A–aku can't seem, Peter. There's still something I need to finish. I'm sorry I couldn't go on the weekend, thanks for taking me in," she said as she woke up from the daydream.
His mind goes back to the present. He shook his head trying to hit Arzen and Loofyn who disturbed his focus. Since their arrival, he had to share his attention and thoughts.
Peter was silent for a moment to see Lucy still counting the files. He knew Lucy wasn't really listening to him. The girl's face was like she was thinking about something.
"Ah, rejected, huh?" disappointed mind.
Lucy's hauling her lots of files. "I'm done, see you at lunchtime, Peter!" then he headed to the elevator.
Peter did not answer. He just nodded and smiled faintly, "Well, at least he didn't refuse my lunch invitation" he murmured.
While in the elevator, Lucy thought back to what Peter was talking about. She faintly heard the words 'cafe' and 'museum' at the end of the sentence. Even so, he still can't leave.
"Ah, sorry Peter. There were two wolves preventing me from leaving on the weekend" he said tiredly.
He immediately entered the room after arriving at the 7th floor. The mountain file must be completed according to the deadline stated. Many of them have already been removed and still need to be revised.
"Geez, do I have to work rode tonight?" thought.
Lucy slaps her head on the table. "Haw...." He sighed heavily hoping his fatigue also came off.
"You don't want me to have to take some home" he said, sorting through the files.
He will take the files home with a deadline of three days or more. The rest is less than three days he will be working on right now. It was still early in the morning but he had to work earlier than the others.
"This morning it's a meeting with a foreign client. Then, the afternoon with investors. His evening with what company C–?! Till night?!" He was shocked to the point of almost squealing.
His body was upright 90 degrees in a chair when he read the schedule. His eyes glared in disbelief. Today he had to work until night and go home when it was very late at night.
"Well, I hope there's still a curfew taxi..."
