Lucy's Partner

It has been a week since the events in the park, today peace returns in Lucy's daily life. The girl returned to work, though she was initially afraid to meet Peter. But before he left, Arzen offered to participate in visible mode.

Apparently, he didn't see Peter in the office at all. According to the chatter of the people he heard, the man did not enter due to illness. It happened one day, the next day he again saw Peter working. Of course with a bandage on his right hand.

Lucy was surprised to see it. Arzen's grip was too strong to leave a bruise. He said he also temporarily could not lift heavy items.

When asked by another co-worker, Peter reasoned that he fell in his house yesterday. Lucy figured out whether she threatened Arzen or not. Arzen instead replied 'secret' to her.

"Surely he threatened her," Inner Lucy.

Hera stared enthusiastically, "Well, it's appropriate that we rely on Lucy for this big project!" the compliment made Lucy so embarrassed.

"You're overreacting," he murmured.

They check the progress that has been running. On the other hand, Arzen folded his hands in front of his chest. He was standing not far from Lucy and was able to watch over the girl completely.

His gaze was full of pride to see Lucy who was at work. He knows this is how people work to meet their needs. It was very different from the magical world that its people only knew how to trade, farm, and raise. Or sometimes they could hunt and sell them in guilds.

Arzen again saw his appearance in the men's toilet. The girl gave him a light blue shirt with black pants. He looks like a human here as long as his tail and ears don't stick out.

Once enough is felt, he gets out of there and returns to where Lucy is. The girl is still there doing her job. He didn't realize he was attracting the attention of those around him.

They whispered about Arzen. Whether he is the CEO of an LX company or the CEO of another company. The girls even began to steal a glance.

Arzen looked at them coldly, "Why?" his heavy voice slightly frightened them.

"I'm Lucy's partner" Arzen said.

They all turned their heads towards the girl. "Are you the one who was with Miss Lucy back then?" ask one of the others to remember the rumors circulating from the photo.

Arzen already knew of Lucy and he nodded. "Right," he said, making them almost boisterous.

"Well, it fits Miss Lucy, huh? I was expecting it wasn't Mr. Sean" they said.

There was a feeling of pride in Arzen's heart hearing the sentence just now. He is recognized as Lucy's partner and not Sean's. He smiled proudly.

"What's wrong?" ask Arzen. They hesitated to explain and one spoke up. "Look, I know this is disrespectful. But a few days ago there was a rumor that Miss Lucy had a relationship with Mr. Sean" he said.

"But after seeing you here and cursing as Miss Lucy's partner it seems like the rumors are not true" he added.

Arzen nodded, "So, my partner is recognized as someone else's partner?" They hesitated.

"Well, it looks like my partner is so famous here that someone claims to have it" he said, inviting laughter from the collection.

They had no idea where Arzen came from. Does he have a bigger company than this or what kind of business is being run. They did not know that they were talking to the emperor of the magical world.

Arzen didn't seem to bother thinking about an alibi. Just by saying that he's Lucy's partner everyone understands. He wondered what people would look like towards the girl.

"Does he sort of have a tightness here, huh? People respect him a lot" he thought.

"Hey, does Lucy work well here? I doubt it..." He deliberately said so to provoke honesty from the employees.

They were surprised, "Eh? Don't you know yet? This project is the idea of Miss Lucy" they said.

They told me about how Lucy works. Professional and loves his job. He also respects his other colleagues.

"Miss Lucy is working hard. Moreover, he became the CEO's sole confidant."
