Sean who was about to approach Lucy was blocked by Karen who suddenly came. The woman was getting more intense when she managed to occupy the position of manager of the marketing department. Because for him this was an opportunity to get close to Sean.
"Sir, how was the meeting today? One of the clients asked me to send a message to my father" he said.
Sean can't avoid it. He is not the type of person who mixes personal things with work. Of course, you have to be professional in the world of work.
"Ah, fine. Miss can send me an email. Is there anything else the client wants today?"
Karen smiled, "I'll deliver by email, sir. Then to..."
They both talk about work. In fact, Karen could have delivered it by email without having to meet Sean in person. He took every opportunity to get close to Sean.
From the tail of his eyes he glanced at the firm line of the man's jaw. Masculine perfume lurched in his sense of smell. Karen smiled happily because she knew Lucy was moving away from Sean.
"Good, it should be like this" he said.
"I'll check again later. Thank you, Miss Karen," Sean said.
Then he again observes Lucy when Karen has pulled over. Unfortunately, the girl had already left with another co-worker. They seem busy talking.
Sean sighed, "Huh.h already left," he murmured.
Karen left there satisfied. He felt that his efforts had succeeded in getting the two people away. He thinks Lucy is so easy to get rid of with just the rumors she's spreading.
"I'm going up slowly" he thought.
On the other hand, Hera shook her head. "It looks like you're being shunned" he told Sean.
"I wanted to ask him but he was gone" he said.
"It's okay. You forgot she was your only secretary, right? You have absolute authority to call him at any time" said Hera.
Sean almost forgot about it. He can call Lucy into his room to discuss. He also wanted to apologize for not knowing the stupid news while abroad.
"Can we trace where the news source is, Hera?" ask Sean.
Hera exhaled, "Of course you can. You should call me brother! Remember, I already have a child and I'm older than you!" he was accompanied by jokes.
Sean smiled, "Give it to you, brother."
...>>><<<...
Peter feels Lucy is a little different today. The girl was more quiet than usual. He also did not see Sean beside the girl.
There are always Sean and Hera when there is Lucy. To the point that he couldn't say hello to the girl. Now, he could freely approach her.
As he currently saw Lucy was copying documents with the machine on the 4th floor. He stole a look from behind his office. From his view, he saw the look on Lucy's face as grim as it was.
"Are they right to stay away?" his inner.
"Isn't this a good opportunity for me to approach him? All this time I've been hesitant because there's that guy" he thought.
Finally, he decided to approach Lucy. Give the drink as an alibi to cover the main reason. He chose a latte because he thought a sweet drink could help.
"Lucy, you're working hard today" he said.
Lucy looked up to see who was coming. "Oh, hi, Peter. You too," he said.
Peter thrust out the can of the drink, "This is for you, I bought one and this is a bonus."
Lies.
Of course Peter lied because he deliberately bought two. Not free or promo or vending machine damage. His heart was delighted when he thought of Lucy while buying that latte.
"Thank you." Lucy accepts.
The two talked about work today. Peter was relieved to see Lucy smiling. It's just that the man doesn't know what Lucy really feels.
Peter continued to observe Lucy's already brighter netra. He kept looking at the girl's face. He thought, when else could he see it this close and this detailed.
"Then, see you." Lucy took her documents and left from there.
Peter smiled and went back to his desk. He plans something next time to get close to Lucy. He thought about asking a date if the girl was free.
Puk!
"Why smile like crazy?" Karen patted Peter on the shoulder.
The man shook his head despite not ending his happy smile. "It's okay," he said.
"Ah, congratulations on reaching the position of manager" he told Karen.
The woman nodded proudly, "You should be more upbeat. Who knows, as an operational manager. Wouldn't that benefit you?" abugn.
Peter chuckled, "Right too. Thanks for the advice," he replied.
Karen suddenly approached and whispered to him. "If you can grab it, won't Lucy start glancing at you?"
Without waiting for an answer, he left in front of Peter. The man looked at her with an inexplicable look. He thought how the girl knew that he was glancing at Lucy.
He doesn't remember ever telling anyone about his feelings for Lucy. Peter actually suspects that the rumor came from Karen. But he didn't worry about that possibility.
"If that were the case, it would still be my chance to get close to Lucy" he thought.
Karen walked leisurely towards her room. Just yesterday he was serving as a marketing manager. His heart flowered as he managed to reach one level higher than others.
"This is a golden opportunity. If I could, I'd like to be a secretary, too" he thought.
"The man should thank me for the chance to get close to the girl of his dreams, right?" he thought about Peter.
Actually all this time he always monitored Peter's movements. That's where Karen found out that Peter put his taste in Lucy. Actually he did not intend to help, it just happened to be interconnected.
"Well, you know this is how I should have asked Peter for a fee" he murmured.
Suddenly he stopped his steps. There Lucy and Sean are talking. He wanted to get closer to launching his plan.
However, from the other direction there is Hera, the financial director who helped hoard. As a result, Karen abandoned her intentions. He could only bully his teeth in annoyance.
"It's okay.there's still a lot of my chances!" his inner.
Still he was upset because before Hera came, Sean seemed close to Lucy. The man continued to clear the distance despite Lucy trying to get away. Karen still thinks it's Lucy who's looking for face.
"Basic! Was he not self-conscious as well with that rumor?!" before you leave from there.
He stopped at an automatic machine not far from the three people in front. He pretended to buy something to eavesdrop on their conversation. His eyes are not at all separated from Sean.
"What are they talking about, anyway?!" his inner.
"Well, I'll change my schedule next week. Anything else I need to do, sir?" ask Lucy. His tone was colder than before.
Karen stared hard at Lucy, "Aren't you supposed to be happy that your job is being reduced?! Why even add?! You were so close to Sean, weren't you?!" it's in the heart.
"Nothing, miss. Ah, how about we discuss project A with the finance director at lunch?" ask Sean.
Hera patted Sean's back hard. "God, it's so stiff of you! Why don't you call me brother?! No need to be formal with me!" candelessly.
"Mrs Renderson knows here is an agency and we are required to act professionally? I'm not the type to mix personal business with work" Sean said, making Hera grunt and want to tease Sean again.
"Look, Lucy. Hasn't he never been like this before?" whining to Lucy.
The girl just smiled faintly, "Okay, sir. I'll prepare the file," he said. He didn't know what to answer to Hera.
"Then I'll see you at lunch, Miss Lucy" Sean said.
Krrakk!
Sean's gaze at Lucy had involuntarily made something crack.
