PART THIRTY TWO

It has been two weeks I worked in a hotel owned by Rangga, it turns out I adapt here faster. Rangga visited me more often here, compared to being at the headquarters, while Mas Leo contacted me less and less.

Every day I work well, although my mind will be divided because it thinks of the clarity of my relationship with Mas Leo. One side I really want to take it off, but one side I still miss.

The brown envelope that the receptionist of the apartment gave me, I put it on the table. I took a glass of water before opening the envelope, because I just got home from the office.

THE OFFICE OF THE RELIGIOUS COURT.

My heart thumped as I read the contents of the envelope from the religious court. Where Mas Leo has applied for our marriage divorce. Without feeling my tears dripping when reading the first court summons.

Why did Mas Leo do this without talking to me first, wasn't our relationship improved, at least it didn't matter for Mas Leo to talk to me first. I'm not willing to treat Leo like this, but this is what I really wanted first.

I looked for my phone in the bag. I quickly contacted Leo.

"***Hallo"

"Hallo Mas, there's a..."

"You have received a letter from the Religious Court***" Mas Leo interrupted me.

"Yes, I've accepted, why didn't Mas talk about it first?" I said while crying sobbing.

"I'm sorry Ayu" replied Mas Leo.

"Where's mas? I want to see you now" I asked.

"I was contracted "he answered.

"Contract? Whereabouts? I'll be there" I insisted.

"The address will be sent by message" he replied Mas Leo again.

"Alright, I'm there now" I said and hung up.

After a message from Mas Leo came into my phone, I quickly went to Mas Leo's rented address.

About 20 minutes drive from the apartment to Mas Leo rented by using an online motorcycle taxi. Because now the clock is jammed in the capital.

"Mas" called me, when I got to the front of the little house, hired Mas Leo. Leo who was watering the plants in his yard turned to me.

"Dye?" Leo put down the water hose, and approached me.

"You ran here" said Mas Leo watching me sweaty and dull.

I still quietly catch my breath.

"Here, sit down" Mas Leo let me sit on the porch of his house.

"So I stopped at the patrol post, because I thought it wouldn't be far from your address from the patrol post, but it turned out to be quite far away, his ojek brother had been hunted away earlier" I explained.

Leo laughed at my explanation.

"Would you like to play in Dalem?" tawar Mas Leo's.

"By Mas, it's hot"

Mas Leo let me into his house, I quickly entered the room air-conditioned guest.

Mas Leo passed by seemingly towards the kitchen, I casually though a pounding heart waiting in the guest room.

"Thank you" I reached for the glass, and finished it.

"I fill it again yes" said Mas Leo grabbed the empty glass.

"Mass?" I held Leo's hand.

"No need to" I said. Leo took his hand out of the glass.

"Someone wants me to talk about" I said.

Leo was just watching me.

"I want to ask you about the divorce" I said.

"Why?" ask Leo.

"Mas, why didn't Mas talk to me first?" my many.

"What we need to talk about Ayu, isn't this the deal you've given me, we just need time to get it done without involving Rio and your parents, after all I've thought about it Ayu, and I don't want you to be more tormented by my mistakes and stupidity" he explained.

I looked at Mas Leo with tears in my eyes.

"I want you to be happy Ayu, maybe that way I can prove my love for you" Mas Leo lowered his head.

"But Mas?"

"For the matter of Rio and your parents, I've explained it to them, even though they were heavy and did not accept it at first, they were finally able to accept all my decisions, as well as Rio, as well, at least Rio will not lose his parenting figure, we must remain compact for Rio's sake" explained Mas Leo.

"You're going to Semarang Mas?" my many.

"Yes, before I took the request to the Religious Court, I met them in Semarang, sorry if I didn't invite you, because I don't want you to keep covering up my mistakes" explained Mas Leo again.

I still cry more and more sobbing hearing Mas Leo's explanation. There is a part of my heart that hurts so much.

"For work matters I have also resigned from the course office" he said.

"Why is that so?" my many.

"It's okay Ayu, I also teach at an international school, I've been a regular teacher, my salary is enough to pay for my house and my daily needs, he said, and also still be able to send snacks for Rio although not much" he explained.

"Is that why you no longer live in Mess's office?" my many.

Leo just nodded.

"You can hire a lawyer for our divorce affairs, I prefer not to come and without a lawyer, so that sooner the divorce decision we receive" explained Mas Leo.

"Once again forgive me Ayu, I have destroyed the magnificent palace that we have built, forgive me Ayu, happy Ayu, happy always Ayu" Mas Leo shed his tears in front of me.

I approached Mas Leo, grabbed his hand, and clasped his hand tightly.

"Mas also has to be happy for me and Rio" I said.

Leo nodded.

I grabbed Mas Leo's body, hugged him. His body trembled more and more because of his crying, my crying became more and more to see him crying, I could not describe this feeling, my heart ached like it was in the iris.
