PART TWENTY EIGHT

Since this afternoon, Mama and Papa have kept me quiet. My feelings became chaotic, too. I was just pretending to be happy in front of Rio. So did Leo.

Tonight me and Mas Leo enjoyed the night from the rooftop pavilion of Bude Sri. With two cups of instant milk coffee steeping me.

"You know Ayu?" said Mas Leo.

I looked at him.

"It's not a good thing for you" he said.

"But it's profitable for me" he said again.

I'm just smiling.

"I can feel, if Papa wishes we were together again" said Mas Leo.

"Yes I know" I replied.

"Maybe we can come back Ayu" he said.

"For now I can't" I replied.

"Yes I understand, I will always wait for you" he said.

"No need to wait for the uncertain" I said.

"I remember those words, someone's expensive selling phrase when the past approached me" he said with a laugh.

I hit his shoulder. And laugh with me.

"If it used to be my approach to always try to get you, why not now" he explained.

"Now you have a responsibility Mas, for your office, your students and Rio, for what you think of me for" I said.

"It's not easy to forget Ayu, everyone"

"Later we can" I smiled.

"Ma Pa" Rio approached us.

"Darling, you haven't slept?" I pulled her hand closer.

"Rio can't sleep" he replied.

"Why?" ask Leo.

"Ma Pa, do you know why Rio's asking for school here?" rio asked us.

Me and Leo looked at each other in confusion.

"Rio?" my spoken.

"Rio already felt it, Ma, although Mama and Papa covered it in front of Rio, but Rio could feel it, Rio felt because Rio was still there, Mama and Papa were not free to solve the problem between you" said Rio.

"After Grandma's arrival, Rio felt that Mama and Papa's relationship had become cold, Rio's fear was as intense as it became when Rio heard Papa and Grandma's chat, when Grandma asked Papa to marry the woman he liked, she said, the woman that Rio met when meeting Grandma at the Mall back then" Rio explained everything.

I closed my mouth with a sign of disbelief with what Rio said. And so does Leo, looking restless.

"So Rio hates grandma, Grandma could do that, although Rio know Papa strongly rejects Grandma's request, Rio is relieved, but does not eliminate Rio's hate feelings on Grandma" he said.

I'm a little relieved that Rio doesn't know if actually his Papa has married that woman.

"Maybe Rio is selfish, but if everything can be fixed Rio really hopes Mama and Papa can be like old times again, warm and full of love" he asked.

"At least now, Rio is relieved that Mama and Papa are still together, although maybe a little something is stuck" said Rio.

"But even though you are still Rio's parents, who always give their best to Rio without anything less, if indeed you are tired to survive, Rio can take it with his airy chest" Rio held my hand and Mas Leo.

"I'm sorry, Mom, son"

I hugged Rio tightly.

"No Ma, for Rio Mama and Papa great parents" Rio grabbed Mas Leo and the three of us hugged.

"Already have.. Do not be sad again, how about tomorrow we go for a walk, because Sunday" Mas Leo neutralizes the atmosphere.

"May it Pa" Rio agreed.

"Where?" they look at me. I smiled in agreement.

This morning we were getting ready for a walk, Mama and Papa refused to come along, only offering the car to use.

Almost all the beautiful places in this city we visited. It was late afternoon and it was time to go home for a rest.

"But before you go home, you can take me to meet someone, Mas" I asked.

"Who?" tanyakanya.

Rio turned to me who was sitting on the back bench, Mas Leo glanced through the rearview mirror.

"Where did it go?" ask Leo.

"The town square" I replied.

The car rolled towards the square. And I'm still busy with my way of life, texting each other to the people I'm about to meet.
