The next day to celebrate the happiness of having another grandchild, Rama Bima invited the Satria family and its besi family, namely Dad Pandu and Mother Ervita, to have lunch together at an authentic restaurant located in the Keraton area of Jogjakarta. The restaurant is called Bale Raos.
Not just a name, but this place is rich in philosophy. Yes, the philosophy of the place and the food served. Bale Raos is made up of two words in Javanese. Bale means a place or a house. Raos means taste. So, of the two words it indicates a place to taste something, in this context is the taste of every delicious and delicious food. Not just any cuisine, but all the menus presented here are typical menus of the kings of the Palace of Jogjakarta. There are even culinary records written directly by the King. Starting from Sultan Hamengkubuwono VI to Sultan Hamengkubuwono X who is still jumeneng (reigned) until now.
"If Pak Negara and Bu Galuh go to Jogjakarta, is there an agenda? We must have been included," Pandu's father said to his besian.
"It's okay Mr. Pandu. Besan was actually a family and a brother. They used to be distant people, not knowing each other. Now become a family. Let it get closer, and familiar. It should be so," replied Rama Bima.
The concept of marriage in Nusantara culture, not only Java actually marriage is uniting two families. Family of women and men. What used to be people who were far away and did not know each other eventually became a family. Therefore, the relationship between besan should also be a family-like relationship. There is closeness built because of the children who get married.
"That's right, Mr. Bima. I concur. Hopefully later if his sister Indi gets married, get a good message too," replied Dad Pandu.
Hearing what Dad Pandu said, Rama Bima then laughed. "Is there a match for Mr Pandu? Invitation to Solo do not forget," he asked.
"There is no soul mate yet, Mr. Bima. Just our wishful thinking. If it tastes good family. Make the heart calm and quiet. It's also closer" replied Dad Pandu.
"Yes, Mr. Pandu. I pray also Sitha later if it is close to his soul mate also get a good in-law. The in-laws who accepted Sitha were not as a daughter-in-law, but as a child themselves."
Presumably not only Rama Bima, all parents also hope that their daughters when getting in-laws are willing to accept and love like their own parents. While Dad Pandu and Mother Ervita have been grateful because Indi really loved by the State family. Although initially Indi was not accepted, but when there was a turning point, Indi was really loved by the State family. Treated like a child himself.
In Bale Raos, Rama Bima ordered various dishes for Fine Dining with his son, daughter-in-law, and besi. Enjoying the culinary wealth of the taste-rich Sultanate of Jogjakarta.
"The concept is fine dining, Mr. Pandu .., but we enjoy Nusantara food, Java in particular," said Rama Bima.
"I'll follow you, Mr. Bima."
"It's Beer, Mr. Pandu. Not alcoholic beer, but beer made from ginger. This drink was once made when Colonialism colonized the country. The kings and nobles did not drink alcoholic beverages, so instead made Javanese Beer or commonly called Plethog Beer," Rama Bima's story.
Pandu's father then smiled and nodded his head. "If the one who invites it is Ningrat, know very well its history. I also studied at once, Mr. Bima."
Rama Bima laughed. Many stories and stories that he told related to various foods in Bale Raos. Just sharing what he knows.
"Don't be so Mr. Pandu, I used to study as well. Equally, this wife used to explain all Javanese and Dutch acculturation dishes" replied Rama Bima.
Mother Ervita who was originally silent, finally spoke as well. "In Solo there is also Pak Bima. Actually, the Solo Strait is also acculturated from Java and the Netherlands. At that time the Dutch wanted meat, while Surakarta people preferred vegetables. Therefore, the resulting Strait of Solo is not just meat, but mixed with vegetables and gravy from spices typical of the archipelago. There remains a culinary heritage that is a meeting of two cultures," Mother Ervita's story.
"Konon Serabi is also a typical Javanese pancake, typical of Surakarta, Bu Galuh. If Pancake from wheat, while from Surakarta from coconut," Mother Ervita's story.
"Well, yeah. Right enough. Glad I could tell you so much like this. Not just children, grandchildren, and daughters-in-law. But all things can be discussed. Klop," replied Galuh.
Indi and Satria who had been listening were also laughing. Both are happy when both parents always connect when talking. All topics can be discussed together. Starting from the family, to various culinary. Totally clop and all talk connect.
"We're going to have two more grandchildren, ma'am," Galuh said.
"Leres, Mom. Satria is really cool. Every time a pair. Satrianya who is a pinter or indeed Indi who always have an ovum to be fertilized," said Dad Pandu with his own drums.
"I'm also confused Mr. Pandu. It was another pair. What about Mr Pandu?" ask Rama Bima.
"Yes, it's so pinter."
Satria laughed again. He doesn't know either. It was just some kind of coincidence or something.
"Satria herself was also confused. Once pregnant and gave birth to a pair. If Satria thought it was a gift from God, it was Father and Rama. We were also confused, but chose roomy and sincere," said Satria.
"Since this install contraception aja Mbak Indi. If you get pregnant again third and become twins, well the child can be half a dozen," said Bu Galuh.
"It looks like Indi has already, Mother. Four only, many already," Indi replied.
"True Indi. Just already. If Satria is naughty again beware. Let's have a jeweled mother, Satria."
Satria then shook her head. "Satria is an adult, already has children, and still being feted, ma'am."
"Eat after this more carefully. Anticipate much better, Sat. Raising and sending children. Let me be a useful person. Rama and Mom don't have to be what or what. The important thing is to be useful to others" said Galuh.
"Agreed, Sat. The best people are those who benefit their neighbors. Whatever the profession. Being a good and professional doctor. Being an entrepreneur is also a good entrepreneur. Always benefit others" said Rama Bima.
That's really good advice. Advice from parents to their children. Truly, the best of men are those who can benefit others. ❤❤
