After the plane took off, Janus could not stop feeling uneasy. He will not stop anxious, if he has not seen directly the condition of his grandfather. He sighed repeatedly, hoping that he would soon arrive in Indonesia. However, the journey from South Korea to Indonesia takes seven hours. During that time he could not feel calm, because the plane had just taken off for thirty minutes. That means to get to Indonesia, it takes about six and a half hours.
At that moment, Astrid held her husband's hand. Hoping that with her holding her hand, her husband would be a little calmer. Yes, although the mind of Janus could not stop thinking about his grandfather who was critical in the hospital.
Six and a half hours later, the plane finally arrived in Indonesia. After the plane actually landed, Janus and Astrid rushed down. Janus and Astrid need to pick up a suitcase on the conveyer belt. It was far from where they went down. Already far away, they also had to wait again, because their luggage was not on the conveyer belt.
"Why is our suitcase not there yet" grumbled Janus who was still feeling uneasy.
After waiting for about ten more minutes, Janus and Astrid finally got the suitcase. While pulling the suitcase, Janus' hand also pulled Astrid's arm while running out of the airport. As they had exited the airport, a man waved at them. He is Andy's former secretary Baskara who now serves as his son's secretary, Adit.
"Who is that brother?" astrid asked, looking at the man who was waving his hand.
"That's Andy, he's my father's secretary. Let's go there," said Janus in a hurry to approach the man who said his father's secretary.
"I was asked by Adit to take Mr. Janus and Ms. Astrid home" said the secretary, named Andy.
"Why did you ask me to drive you home. Shouldn't I be taken directly to the hospital where Grandpa was treated" Janus said.
"Now Mr. Baskara is at his residence" Andy said in a trembling voice.
"Grandfather is home. He must have refused to be treated again. Yes, please help me put the suitcase into the trunk," said Janus handed over the suitcase held by him and also Astrid.
Instantly the head secretary of his father lowered his head. "The meaning of my words is actually, that Mr. Baskara is gone. He breathed his last at 10 a.m. And now his body is in his residence" he said in a still trembling voice.
Janus was shocked to death when he heard the news. Suddenly his right eye let out a water shaft.
Janus just pulled Andy's collar. "Sir Andy didn't have to lie to me. Mr. Andy must have told Bayu to lie to me, so that I do not go to the hospital to see my grandfather, right" he said raising his voice.
"I'm not lying, sir. Mr. Baskara is indeed dead," said Andy trembling in fear.
"Please tell Bayu that I will not be fooled by him again" said Janus without removing the collar of his father's secretary shirt.
Astrid panics, but pulls Janus' hand from Andy's collar. "Sister, calm yourself. He can't be lying, if you don't believe it, we better be sure. And now we have to get to Grandpa's house."
"Alright, we make sure that Mr. Andy's words are a lie." Janus was immediately in a hurry to get into his father's secretarial car. And followed by Astrid who also climbed into the car.
Janus approached the chest containing his grandfather's body. Her cry broke as her two hands began to touch the chest.
"Wake up, Janus is home" said Janus with both corners of his eyes that let out a water bulb.
His heart was broken as he made sure that his grandfather was gone. Yesterday Janus found out that his mother had died a long time ago. And now he must find some more news. News that he did not want. The only family that had always been there for her, had now left her.
Likewise with Astrid who could not stem her cries while staring at the coffin of her grandfather-in-law.
Then suddenly Adit came to the second son. "Take care of him, so he can go quietly" he said, rubbing Janus' shoulder.
Janus threw Adit's hand off his shoulder "It's easy for me to talk like that. What about me if grandfather leaves, other than Astrid he's the only family to me."
"You have to accept the truth, he can't come back. You still have me, your father," said Adit.
As he let out his tears, Janus smiled with a grin. "Dad? Since when did you become my father. Ever since I was in Indonesia you ever cared about me, your attitude has always been cold to me. What's a father's name, you even hid my mother's death from me."
"I'm sorry I couldn't be a father to you. It's not that I don't love you, I'm like that because I can't accept the fact that Yuna left this world. I can't last long looking at you, because every time I look at you. My heart will hurt, because it will always remember him" Adit explained with both eyes flooded.
"Never apologize to me, because I will never forgive you forever" said Janus who stood up and hurried to leave while pulling his wife's arm.
"Sister, where are we going. Shouldn't we take Grandpa to his final resting place" Astrid panicked.
"No need, we go home now" said Janus without taking off his wife's arm.
Astrid threw Janus' hand from his arm. "Why? anyway we should drive him."
"I'd better not see Grandpa's funeral. Because if I see it, it'll make me even more unable to forget it. Please come home with me, Trid," asked Janus.
Astrid had to comply with her husband's request. He returned with Janus to the apartment in a taxi. Although Astrid actually wanted to go to take Baskara to his final resting place. However, Astrid who is a wife should prioritize her husband. Accompanying him in this moment was the most important thing for Janus who was in shock over the fact that his grandfather had been gone forever.
Arriving at the apartment, Astrid's phone suddenly reads, Astrid immediately checks her phone. A message from Hilda made her phone ring. In the message, Hilda asked Astrid to check the results of the entrance exam to the university.
