37. Relationships That Are Unwelcome

Ever since Astrid admitted to having had a heart patch. The next day Janus was cold, and he did not usually say a word. They had one table to eat breakfast together, but it felt awkward for Astrid to look at the man who had a flat expression. Every time Astrid started the conversation, Janus only answered briefly. As Astrid asked, Janus answered but did not look at Astrid.

Upset, it was clear that Astrid was very upset with the man who became her husband. It is better to fight every day in comparison to be kept like this, that is what Astrid thought. To melt the atmosphere, Astrid once again began asking questions that might be very silly.

"What's my cooking good day? if it's good, I need to cook again."

"No need," replied Janus with eyes that only focused on staring at the food on his plate.

Not giving up there, Astrid again sought Janus' attention by offering to cook her lunch.

Not entirely Janus spent his breakfast, he immediately put his spoon on the plate and then moved from his seat while carrying the plate.

"Put the plate down, let me take care of it" said Astrid, who also moved from her seat, then hurried over to Janus.

When Astrid was about to take the plate that Janus was carrying, she accidentally nudged the glass that was on the dining table

The glass broke, and the fragments hit Astrid's feet. Eventually one of his legs bled. Instead of frantically treating the wound, Astrid frantically cleaned up the broken glass on the floor. His panic made him repeat his carelessness again. Now not only his legs were injured, but his hands were also injured. Astrid's carelessness made Janus anxious to death. Janus rushes to retrieve the P3K box, and returns to treat Astrid's wounds.

"Stop it" said Janus.

"But this hasn't been done yet." Astrid frantically ignored Janus and continued to clean up the glass fragments.

"I said stop, your hands and feet are bleeding. You need to be treated" said Janus raising his voice.

Astrid gasped in shock at Janus who suddenly snapped at her. Instantly, he placed the broken glass he held. Astrid bowed in silence, which was somehow her heart ached after being snapped by her husband.

Then Janus crouched down in front of Astrid and immediately wrapped the wound on his wife's hands and feet. While Janus was bandaging his wounds, Astrid turned her gaze away while holding back the water that had been stagnant in both of her eyeballs.

"What makes you act so cold. I don't understand the change in your attitude, yesterday you were friendly with me, but why today you are different. You've made me look stupid, to the point of making me think that you're a gentle man. But it's not, actually" Astrid said.

"Isn't this my attitude. You know, from the beginning we were married, we never got along. You should have gotten used to it" Janus said without looking at Astrid.

Astrid breathed. "As you say, I'd rather make a fuss with you just because of a trivial matter, than be kept silent for no reason."

"Stupid, why do you want to make a fuss with me. Wouldn't it be better than having to fight every day because of trivial things," said Janus smiling grin.

"Yes I'm a fool, I could have thought that you were a good man. And one more thing I want to ask you. Did you not put your heart on me?"

Janus swallowed his saliva made nervous immediately with the question that Astrid was asking.

"Can't you just forget the hurt in your past and stop being selfish with your feelings. I can feel if you have feelings for me."

"You think it's that easy I can forget what I've been through. I'm a weak man full of fear, all I want right now is not to fall for you. So that someday if you leave me, I don't fall too deep into the wound like I used to."

Astrid ignores Janus, carries her bag and rushes out of her apartment. When the door closed Astrid then wiped the tears that had been in her seat. His heart ached so much to face a stubborn man who did not want to admit his feelings.

Arriving at school, suddenly from the back of Titan came holding Astrid's arm.

"What is Titan?" ask Astrid for wonder.

"Are you dating a star?" ask back to Titan.

"Yes I'm dating a star."

"He's not a good man, decide him right now" Titan said, holding Astrid's shoulders with a serious look.

Astrid looks confused with Titan who suddenly tells her to break up. Astrid then released both hands of Titan from her shoulders.

"I don't understand you, why you told me to break up with the Stars. Isn't your friend's Star, you should be happy if your friend gets a girlfriend."

"I'll never be happy if Star is in a relationship with you. Because he's my friend, that's why I know he's a jerk."

Astrid was very angry with the words that Titan made to her boyfriend. Just today he was annoyed by Janus, does not mean Titan has to add to his frustration. Without saying a word, Astrid went straight from Titan.

"You're a good girl, you shouldn't have a jerk," cried Titan.

Titan shouts at Astrid's abandonment, continues to walk pretending not to listen and not care what Titan says to her. "In a moment the bell rang, I'm in class now yes," said Astrid releasing the Star's hand from her shoulder.

The star then stops Astrid by pulling her arm.

"Wait on! there's something I want to say."

"Something you want to say, that makes you look so serious."

"Hm, do you have time today? I want to invite you to come to my house to eat," said the smiling star staring at Astrid.
