121. Silence of Astrid

Astrid awoke from her sleep, when the clock was eight in the morning. His head was still dizzy, even though his fever had gone down. Next to him Janus was still asleep with his hand holding Astrid's hand.

When his hands were removed, Janus woke up. Spontaneously he touched Astrid's forehead. "Your fever has come down. I've made porridge for you, eat it first. After eating we go to the doctor."

"No need to go to the doctor, I've been much better. You better just go to work."

"I'm not going to work, I'm late when I have to go anyway. I'd better take you to the doctor's office."

"I don't want to go, just rest at home, I'm sure I'll heal fast." Astrid got out of her bed. "I'll take a bath first, after that I'll eat your congee straight away."

Upset, of course Astrid is still upset with Janus who went to see Luna. Even if it was just to help. Moreover, Astrid strongly suspects that Luna is still putting her heart on Janus.

Finished bathing and getting dressed, Astrid went to the dining table to eat. Although he was still angry, it was not that he would not eat the porridge that Janus had made for him. Because even though his anger and resentment are still felt, Astrid still appreciates Janus who has taken the time to make it.

Astrid was just silent while eating something for a bite, although she did not taste food because of her nausea that was still felt, even though the pain was much better than yesterday. Astrid's silence was not because she still felt nauseous, but she could not relieve her anger and resentment. His face was bent in annoyance, without even looking at Janus. Astrid kept turning her face away, even though Janus asked her to speak.

This kind of atmosphere made Janus very awkward. Janus thought Astrid would understand even though yesterday he had explained why he had met Luna. Not because he denies, but Janus can not relinquish the responsibility that Bayu has given him. Moreover, the current state of Luna has no one, her family and siblings live far away from the city and abroad. Janus is worried about his current situation.

Janus grabbed Astrid's hand. "I'm sorry about yesterday. I had no choice but to go pick up Luna."

"I know you're a smart man, why don't you tell people to pick her up and take her to the doctor."

"At that time I panicked, his friends no one wanted to drive him because they had other activities. Moreover, Luna here has no one."

"I told you you could ask someone else. You can get your secretary or you can get one of the maids in our house. Why can't you think there."

Janus breathed. "I was panicking, how could I think that way. I'm really sorry, I really hope you can understand."

"How can I understand, if Luna's sister still put her heart on you," said Astrid with both eyes that began to stagnate.

"You just misunderstood, Astrid. Believe me, that I can't possibly move to another heart."

Astrid put her spoon on the bowl, then looked at Janus. "I'll believe it, but one thing I want. Let go of the responsibility given by Bayu."

Janus hesitates to answer, but the guilt towards Bayu is still attached to him. Where maybe he can release the responsibility given by Bayu.

"Where can I relinquish responsibility from him. He left because it was me."

Astrid sighed, with tears beginning to fall in her eyes.

"Stop self-infringement, because he deserves to be punished for his crimes. He alone did, so he had to bear the risk. You're innocent, you're right to have reported it to the authorities."

"He's my family, even though he doesn't have a blood relationship with me. Do I deserve that as a family to do that, even if he's guilty. Where any family does that, even if his own brother is guilty."

"Then, are you going to risk our relationship just because you have responsibilities from sister Bayu."

"Obviously our relationship is at stake, because you don't want to give up responsibility for it. You think I'm a fool, sister Luna still has her heart set on you" said Astrid, who raised her voice. Then he stood up from his seat. "I hope that you will soon be aware of all of Luna's behavior towards you."

Astrid went from the dining table to her room. Astrid could no longer hold back her tears, she sobbed with her broken cry.

While Janus was sitting quietly at the dinner table, with his heart and mind in disarray. It is very much concerned with a choice. Taking responsibility off Bayu is a burdensome thing for him.

For days after the quarrel, Astrid kept Janus quiet. Even Astrid is no longer eating at one table. Astrid remained silent, though Janus continued to apologize and persuade her to understand. Astrid simply ignored him and did not care, even if Janus pleaded.

Due to Astrid's anger and silence, Janus's mind fell apart, even more so with the work piling up. Janus often does not work, just because he constantly thinks about Astrid and the responsibilities that can not be separated.

Even Rio and Wandi were made to shake with the look of Janus's face which every day continues to be bent irritated.

"Do you have any problems in your house?" Ask Wandi.

"Well, Astrid can't understand me."

"Is it possible because of Luna? If it was because of Luna, it was indeed a natural thing if Astrid was angry. Moreover, she's your ex-boyfriend. Don't you realize that Luna still likes you."

"Where might he like me, he just thinks of me as his sister-in-law."

"Where is the sister-in-law willing to hug her sister-in-law with a look that seems like she really likes you."

Janus furrowed his brows. "That's really so."

Immediately Rio pointed his phone at Janus. "High School friends invite to go clubbing in the griff chat, to disappear stress better you go."

Wandi's tongue screeching. "Ck, you're crazy. He already has a wife where he might want to go."

"I'll go, who knows my stress will be reduced" said Janus.

Wandi. "I'm not leaving, because Bianca would be upset if she knew I was going clubbing, you'd still be leaving when you're no longer a single man."

"I went just for fun, not to find another woman. Then what about you, Rio. Are you going to go?" Ask Janus.

"Of course not, where can I go after last week I was mad at Hilda, for going clubbing."

Even without his two friends, Janus still went to the nightclub after returning from work. There friends during High School gathered, including with Luna who also came because it was one High School.

Although there was Luna, as much as possible Janus distanced himself from Luna, although he was still bound in responsibility. What's more, he thought about what Wandi said in his office.

Go to a nightclub, of course party drinking hard. The messy thoughts and problems with Astrid were never over, making Janus drink a lot of alcoholic beverages.
