114. Bad News

After meeting Bayu, Janus returned to the office. Janus who just came directly suguhi the files that he needs to sign.

Rolled omelet, meat stew, some vegetables, and rice, are in the lunchbox that Astrid carries. It seems tempting, but Janus must finish his work first in comparison to having to eat. Although he actually felt hungry, because his break was used to go to see Bayu, so he did not have time to eat lunch.

"Darguably, I can only smell it. Because I have to finish my work first," said Janus staring at all the food that Astrid had placed.

Astrid took a spoon, then took some rice and some side dishes with the spoon. "Let me bribe." He thrust it into Janus' mouth.

Janus smiled as he looked at the spoon that his wife thrust. "Maybe, too," he said, who immediately devoured the bribe his wife offered

"How can you take the time to make all this, even though at the restaurant you must be busy?"

"Now I put two new workers in the restaurant. One part-time worker in Alula and one permanent worker in Titan. So, I can take a little time to cook and drive him here."

Janus was shocked when the name Titan was mentioned Astrid, especially Titan is a permanent worker in his restaurant. Which can be accepted if the man who is very eyeing his wife is working in a restaurant, what else permanent workers will certainly spend more time in a restaurant compared to part-time workers.

"Titan, shouldn't he be in education. Why make it a permanent worker?"

"He will continue his education next year. Because every day in the restaurant there are so many visitors, I hired two new workers. And it just so happened that when I started opening vacancies on social media, Titan and Alula signed up."

"I suggest yes, Titan better be fired, and find another new worker" said Janus with a look on his face that was bent irritated.

"Why indeed? Titan's work is excellent. Since he had already experienced working part-time in various places, he was instantly reliable once he entered work."

"She is most likely just looking in front of you, and in the end she has the intention to tease my wife. I still don't like it when Titan has to work in a restaurant."

Astrid smiled and looked at the jealous annoyed face on Janus's face.

"Where could Titan do that, I'm his boss anyway. And as long as he works, he doesn't do what you think. If he does like that, then I'll fire him right away, so you don't have to worry."

Janus held up his little finger. "Promise him, if he does that you fire him immediately."

Astrid tied her little finger with Janus' little finger. "Yes, my dear promise."

Janus' tongue screeched. "Cih, just call dear where the kiss dong."

Astrid shook her head while chuckling at her husband's spoiled behavior. Astrid let out a sigh, and she quickly kissed her husband on the cheek.

In just thirty minutes Astrid fed him, the food was finished in eating Janus. Astrid must return to the restaurant, while Janus is still not satisfied to enjoy time with his wife. Moreover, as long as he worked in the company, Janus had rarely spent time with Astrid because of her busyness. At night after work, sometimes Janus went straight to sleep because of soy sauce, and on holidays sometimes Janus still had to finish some unfinished office work at home. Let any busy, at least he still has time with his wife, yes even if only briefly and free time can only be enjoyed at home.

Finished signing the file, Andy's sir knocked on the door.

Andy came over. "Now it is time for Mr. Janus to fill a meeting with the managers."

"Alright, please take all the files on my desk and give them all to each division. And tell them, for files I haven't signed please revise them again. I've also outlined what needs to be revised."

After which, Janus immediately rushed out of his room. However, just a few steps he came out of the room, he passed Adit and his secretary. Janus was astonished when he looked at his father who was walking in a hurry. What else looks like his face is feeling anxious.

Janus held Adit's arm until he stopped his steps. "Dad, where are you going?"

"I found out that Bayu had died" replied Adit.

Janus was shocked to hear the words of his father. "How could he have died, when I had a chance to meet him. Although he looks messy, but he looks fine."

"Officers in custody found Bayu dead by hanging himself in the bathroom. I have to get him to the hospital, because now the body is being autopsied." Adit put his foot back on.

Hearing the news, Janus could not stay silent, he just followed Adit even though the meeting will soon begin.

"I will go there" said Janus.

"You don't have to come, you finish your job. After your work is done you can go straight there," said Adit who panicked with faster steps.

Janus sighed, Janus had to finish the job first even though he wanted to go to make sure Bayu. Janus again set his foot in the meeting room.

During the meeting, Janus could not concentrate on paying attention to the percentage of some of his managers. His mind was already troubled by the bad news about Bayu. Moreover, before leaving, Bayu had to leave Luna to him. Janus also inexhaustible, that the apology from Bayu is his last words.

Janus blames himself, why he does not realize that his apology and request to keep Luna turned out to be signs of Bayu who will end his life.

Janus was so immersed in his daydream that he could not digest what was said in the meeting.

Andy patted Janus' hand. "Sir Janus why hasn't there been a response."

Janus was awakened in his daydream. "I'm sorry it seems like the meeting should be postponed, and continue tomorrow or the day after. I have more important business than work." Janus immediately rushed away from the meeting room.

Janus drove his car to the hospital where Bayu's body was to be autopsied. There were already Adit, Yeni and some families from Yeni's side.

Janus came instead of being greeted warmly, he even greeted Yeni with anger. Especially he was very guilty of Janus for the death of his son.

"What did you come here for. You must be satisfied with the death of Bayu. If you hadn't kept Bayu in jail, he wouldn't have taken his own life" Yeni said with sobs.

"Stop offending my son, he reported Bayu not without cause. Because Bayu is guilty, if Bayu does not commit a crime or does not take drugs, Janus is unlikely to report it" Adit said.

"Just because Janus is your son, you defend him more. The victim here is my son. You are equally guilty, where were you when I asked for help, I even had time to ask you to prevent Bayu from being arrested, but what? You listen more to Janus just because he's your real son" said Yeni raised his voice.

Yeni pointed towards the exit. "You better get out of here. I'm sick of seeing you both."

Because Janus' arrival was not accepted, Adit and Janus were forced to leave. Than to have to cause an even worse commotion.
