Forced to Marry a Teacher

Forced to Marry a Teacher
21. The New Kutahui

Two chefs served some delicious food at the dinner table. Baskara deliberately invited the chef just to welcome his grandchildren with a delicious meal. Because the busyness of his children and grandchildren makes family gatherings a rare moment for the Baskara Sayuda family. The dining table that was only occupied by seven people seemed to be full of luxurious and delicious food.

"Was eaten. Trid eat a lot yes," said Baskara smiling.

"Hm, yes, cake" Astrid said with a smile.

Pale face is clearly visible on the face of Baskara Sayuda, the middle-aged man must enjoy his old age with a terrible disease. It is clearly visible from the look on Janus' face that looks full of worry. Just a mouthful of food that he devoured, he continued to play his spoon with his mind that was upset because of the worry about his grandfather.

"Why just play the spoon? are you full?" baskara looked at Janus.

"No cake, it seems like my stomach is not feeling well" replied Janus.

"You want to call a doctor?"

"No need, it's just a common pain. It's healing soon."

"If you continue to eat it."

Janus nodded. "Yes." Yeah."

Janus began to go back to eating his dishes, devouring one spoonful after another. Eating it, but not enjoying it. Although the food tasted good, fear and worry made the food in the meal tasted bland on the tongue of Janus.

Everyone enjoyed the dish while talking about the company, except for Janus who only focused on the dishes on his plate. While Astrid who did not understand their chatter, just fixated on looking at Janus who seemed agitated earlier. Astrid then held Janus' hand. "Are you okay?" whispered to Janus' ear.

Janus just nodded however, the expression from the look on his face did not look okay. What Janus had been hiding all this time, made Astrid have many questions to ask him. There are too many secrets that Janus has hidden. To make Astrid feel worried about what she does not know.

Baskara looked at her youngest granddaughter. "Janus" called him with a trembling and limp voice.

"Yes cake."

"Why did you choose to work as a teacher. Grandpa wants you to work in the company. The position of marketing manager is soon empty, because the current marketing manager, one more month will retire. Grandpa wants you to occupy that position."

Janus was silent for a moment, thinking long to accept his grandfather's offer. Seemed nervous, as the eyes of her brother and mother stared cynically at her.

"I don't agree if Janus works for the company. How can a child of a mistress enter the company. What if people find out about her status as the child of a mistress. The image of the company can be destroyed, it's better that he is not involved in the company's affairs" said Yeni with a look of annoyance.

"I agree with mom. Bastard child does not deserve to work in the company," continued Bayu smiling slantedly staring at Janus.

"Shelves....

Adit kicked the table.

"Stop calling him an illegitimate child. He is not a child outside of marriage. Kim Yuna and I were legally married" Adit raised his voice.

"Your marriage is legitimate but hidden. Meaning he is indeed the son of your mistress right," said Yeni who also raised her voice.

"What is our marriage of my will. We marry because of love and not because we love each other. If it wasn't for being in a match, I wouldn't have gotten married to Yuna in secret."

Astrid stood up from her seat. "Sorry to interrupt your conversation. To Ms. Yeni and sister Bayu, you are not worthy to insult my husband. We came here to have dinner with the family, not to accept your insults.

While holding Janus' arm, Astrid then said goodbye. "I'm sorry Janus and I can't finish the meal. We're going home now" he said, pulling Janus' arm and taking him out of the house.

"You should just shut up and not talk. We should have finished dinner, to appreciate my grandfather," Janus said as he drove his car.

"Stop car! and pull over there," said Astrid pointing towards the side of the road that seemed deserted.

"Why should you stop? we haven't reached the apartment."

"Just stop now."

Janus then halted his speed, pulling over on the side of the road Astrid had pointed out.

"Down right now" Astrid said.

"Why should I go down instead of you going down" said Janus, astonished.

"We need to get down right now. We need fresh air to calm our hearts" Astrid opened the car door and got out of the car.

Janus got out of the car, approached Astrid, who was standing behind him. As Janus approached her, Astrid seemed to cry while holding back the sound of her crying.

"Why are you Trid?" janus asked as he held onto Astrid's shoulders.

Her tears broke, staring at her husband with a deeply hurt feeling.

"What every time you come home is always greeted with contempt. Why didn't you get angry, and just act calm as if nothing happened. At least you're crying to calm your heart" Astrid said as she cried a mouthful.

Janus wiped away the tears flowing from both corners of Astrid's eyes. Stare at him with great sadness.

"Actually I'm very angry, but I can't stand to appreciate my grandfather. I cried so much I forgot how to cry."

Astrid hugged Janus tightly, crying in her arms. Moisturize both of his cheeks. "Now I know what you said when I asked you to marry me. You once said that your grandfather was your only family. Because after I saw it it was true that he was all you had. When you come, the only one who welcomes you is your grandfather. Both your mother and your father, they don't seem to care about you."

Janus also tightly hugged Astrid's body, rubbing her hair just to soothe his wife's cries. Clutching her body tightly, making Janus' heart beat quite tight.

"Trid don't make me fall in love, and don't fall in love with me. I hope our wedding is on paper. Because every person I love will end up leaving me," said Janus, who clutched Astrid's body.

"Hiks.hiks..where may I fall in love with the most beautiful man on earth" Astrid said while beating Janus' chest.

Janus again wiped the water from Astrid's cheeks, smiling at her eyes that looked red from crying.

"Don't cry anymore. Shame to see the same passing by, I thought I was doing you," said Janus.

Then suddenly the ringing from Janus' phone rang.

"Tring...Trings...Trings...

"Wait a minute I pick up the phone first" said Janus taking the phone from his pocket.

And six minutes after picking up the phone, Janus came back to Astrid.

"Let's go home now, my friends are waiting at the apartment" Janus said, opening the car door for Astrid.
