Forced to Marry a Teacher

Forced to Marry a Teacher
35. I'm Not A Husband

Astrid goes to her class while holding the hand of the Star. Who would have thought with Astrid to do that, could make Janus jealous and upset half to death. Hands clenched, looking at him with anger, that was what happened to Janus at the moment.

"What he calls a momentary feeling. She easily forgot how she felt about me," grumbled Janus.

Then suddenly the Titan came, approaching Janus who was standing with an expression of regret.

"What did the father notice until he was so upset?" ask Titan.

"The boy held the hand of another man" replied Janus with eyes still staring straight at Astrid.

Titan then glanced at what Janus was looking at so seriously. "Well he's really crazy, he could have just kept quiet when Astrid held his hand" he said, who was also suddenly upset.

Janus who had not diverted his opponent, was immediately shocked by the existence of the Titan next to him.

"When are you here?"

"From earlier. Why did you realize I was here? ask back the astonished Titan looked at the surprised looking Janus.

Janus ignored Titan, shook his head and left without saying a word.

"It should be that as a husband you stop him. I need to stop him" said Titan raised his voice.

Janus panicked instantly with Titan's loud voice. He turned toward Titan, then immediately stuffed his mouth with his palm.

"Bas crazy, why do you speak so loudly" whispered Janus.

Titan removed Janus' hand from his mouth. "Sorry keceplosan. But you should've banned him from holding the hands of a jerk like a star."

"It's none of my business to ban it. In the covenant paper, Astrid forbade me not to forbid him from being close to any man or forbid him from dating. I don't care about her, our marriage is a charade."

"Janus sir really doesn't care. Did you really not put your heart on Astrid?"

Janus swallowed his saliva, made nervous by the question Titan asked him. "No, I'll never put my heart on him."

"In that case, can I approach him" Titan smiled.

"What do you mean by what?" asked Janus in wonder.

Titan smiled and stepped out his legs. "That's it, the one who shouldn't put his heart. No need to know what I just said."

Janus was kept silent by what Titan had told him. The relationship that was built was only a falsehood, now began to feel real for Janus. Janus realized, that he could not if only consider Astrid was only a sister to him. His heart is contrary to what has been held so far. I will not put my heart to any woman. It was just a mere cradle that he held onto for so many years.

The man who had been the husband, was too prestigious to admit what he felt at this moment. Who would have thought, a man who clings to the heartless love of any woman, can slowly make his frozen heart made melt. The wall he had painstakingly created was now beginning to collapse.

Janus took a deep breath and exhaled, awakening to not be more deeply incited about his feelings. Then stepped his feet, walking lethargic towards the office.

...****************...

"I've been waiting for you in the cafeteria, apparently you're here."

"Why do you have to wait for Astrid, isn't your relationship with Astrid not that close" Hilda said.

"My relationship with him has recently come close. And it will likely continue the relationship that is next" said Bintang tilted his smile.

Hilda then whispered into Astrid's ear. "Trid, don't ever have a serious relationship with any man, before your relationship with Janus is over."

"Here we go, we're not here to buy some snacks" Astrid said stepping into the mini market.

Astrid and her two friends put some snacks in a basket that Alula carried. However, just as Astrid was about to grab a drink at the showcase, Janus suddenly stood next to her and picked up the same drink as her. Astrid was still upset with Janus, moreover, Janus' words this morning kept coming to her mind. Astrid finished her shopping, then hurried to the cashier's desk.

The star who had been waiting for Astrid in front of the cashier table, suddenly took out his wallet and gave his debit card to the cashier.

"Let me pay for it."

"No need, my friends and I have enough money to pay for this" Astrid said.

"It's okay, today I'll treat you. Instead after school you accompany me on my way," said the smiling Star.

Janus did not want to lose competitiveness from Bintang, he also issued his debit card.

"If you want to give you should not ask for a reward. Let me pay."

Astrid takes the debit card Janus keeps on the cashier's table and returns it to Janus. "No need to bother sir, let the stars pay."

Astrid looked towards the stars. "After school I'll accompany you on the road."

"That's dong. Sorry sir, I'm not asking for anything in return. Even if I don't pay for Astrid's groceries, I'll still take her away" said the star with a fake smile.

"Oh so, hopefully later after school you can have fun" said Janus who also exuded a fake smile.

Astrid let out a sigh, she was annoyed half to death by what Janus had just said. When all of his groceries are packed, Astrid then rush out of the mini market.

As she walked, Astrid pulled out her cell phone from the pocket of the alma mater. Then send a short message to the man who became her husband.

"I'll definitely be home late if I go with him, is that okay."

She hoped for whatever reason her husband would forbid her to go with the Stars. However, Janus' reply did not match what Astrid had expected.

"It's okay. Looks like she likes you, isn't this your chance to be in a relationship with a man. Just today I let you come home late, so have fun and enjoy your teenage years."

Astrid was very disappointed with the short message that Janus replied. He stared at the screen of the phone, very upset with Janus who let him go with another man. He only hoped that Janus would give little reason to forbid him from leaving, even for ridiculous reasons.

It's not that Janus wasn't upset and disappointed by his decision. It was just that he felt he had no right to forbid Astrid from going with the Stars, nor being close to another man. Moreover, his marriage to Astrid was only a theatrical.
