Forced to Marry a Teacher

Forced to Marry a Teacher
34. The Hidden Hope

Astrid lay on the sofa with her body still wrapped in a blanket. His eyes twitched as a glint of light from the window highlighted his face, which he was dreaming long on his pillow. Astrid slowly opened her tightly shut eyelids. He woke up from his deep sleep, then stretched his stiff body. Astrid looked astonished by the blankets and pillows, but last night she slept with Janus without using a pillow or blanket.

Smelling the smell of food from the kitchen, Astrid got off the sofa and stepped into the kitchen. How surprised she was when she found out that her husband was cooking.

"Morning," greeted Janus smilingly looking at Astrid.

"Hm, yes morning. Why don't you wake me up" said Astrid, approaching Janus, who was cooking for breakfast this morning.

"So you slept really well, so I didn't have to wake you up."

"I'm the one who doesn't feel good when you prepare breakfast, but it's my job."

"It's okay. This is a sign of my gratitude, because all night you've been with me. So today I'm going to prepare breakfast for you. You better get ready soon, it's six o'clock more."

"Ah yes, but I haven't had time to clean up the house."

"No need, I've cleaned things up, you better take a shower right away."

Astrid scratched her head that was not itchy. "Hm yes, thank you for taking my place today" he said as he walked away.

Astrid then immediately got ready to tidy up herself. Starting from bathing, wearing a uniform, and also beautify yourself before going to school. It only took Astrid twenty minutes to finish doing it all. He immediately came out of his room and went to the dining table.

There was Janus who was preparing food. Again Janus smiled looking at Astrid who was standing next to the dining table.

"Please eat" said Janus.

Astrid's heart pounded instantly, both her cheeks flushed staring at that sweet smiling Janus. It felt very awkward and unusual to see Janus who was suddenly friendly to Astrid. Janus always pisses Astrid off. However, this time it was somehow Janus became a good man, which made Astrid feel amazed.

Astrid sat down with a plate of food in front of her. His eyes were unceasingly staring at the handsome face of Janus, as if he was fascinated by the face that belonged to the youngest son of Adit Sayuda.

"Isn't he a dream man, why I just realized it" Astrid murmured inwardly.

Compared to eating his breakfast, Astrid paid more attention to Janus. Anyone would be fascinated by Janus' changing attitude today. He who is handsome does not even have the heart to wake his wife who is sound asleep from her long dream. He was even willing to take care of his wife's work in comparison to having to wake her up.

Janus smiled back at Astrid. "Your food is still a lot, what cooking is not good for me?"

Astrid was very nervous to see Janus who kept smiling sweetly at her. "It's delicious. But I hope you stop smiling like that" he said as he looked down at the plate of food in front of him.

"Hm, okay. About last night I hope you don't misunderstand me, I hold your hand no other purpose. I'm just afraid of the dark room."

"Yes, I know ko. Hm, by the way Are you going to completely close the door of your heart, what if one day you suddenly fall in love with a woman?" astrid asked as she stirred the food on her plate.

"Yes, I will completely close my heart. If one day I fall in love, then I will try my best to erase and forget it in my memory."

Janus' words made Astrid no appetite. This is called an impossible hope. His heart was too weak, easily touched by the man he had only married in a charade.

"Why don't you finish your breakfast" exclaimed Janus.

"I'm full" Astrid said as she opened the door.

Astrid went out of her apartment, she walked downstairs. What was with his heart at this time, felt pain when Janus asserted himself would not open the door of his heart. Feeling confused with his heart pounding if nearby.

"Shouldn't I care if she would close her heart or fall in love with any woman. After all my marriage was just a charade," Astrid murmured inwardly.

While Janus was still sitting at the dinner table, pensive in his daydreams. Thinking about last night as he fell asleep on Astrid's shoulders. In fact he did not fall asleep, he still heard his wife muttering. Astrid's words continued to be stirred in Janus' mind, the sentence spoken by his wife made Janus realize, that most likely his wife had put her heart on him.

Janus is on the verge of anxiety, his desire not to fall in love is contrary to his heart at this time. Janus shook his head, then stood up from his seat.

"I have made it clear that I cannot be touched in the least by him" murmured Janus.

Janus then tidied up all the remaining food on the table. After that, he immediately went to school. While his car was on the run, Janus saw Astrid in the angkot that drove in front of his car. He was pensive with his sad face. Seeing her made Janus not stop watching her.

Janus felt guilty about what he said earlier. However, he reaffirmed that his words were true and should not Astrid put her heart on a man who has a dark past.

"He's young and should get a better man than me, not a pathetic man like me" Janus murmured.

Fifteen minutes later they arrived at school. Janus immediately parked his sports car. After that, he hurriedly approached Astrid who was walking while bowed lethargic.

"Follow your head, where there's a princess looking down like that. Your crown will fall" said Janus.

Instantly Astrid was surprised, looking at the man who had just kept crossing her mind walking beside her.

"Don't look at me, you'll stumble. I know that I'm handsome" said Janus.

Astrid, who was frowning, immediately smiled with the words of Janus who was too confident with his face.

"Trid, I hope you don't fall for a guy like me. I also wish you could get a better man than me. Because from now until later when we get divorced, I will continue to think of you as my little sister" Janus said smilingly looking at Astrid.

Again Janus' words made Astrid feel upset. Astrid stopped her steps.

"You have no right to control my feelings, it's up to my heart, if it's true that my heart is in love with you."

Suddenly the stars came to Astrid.

"Hey what are you doing here. We go to class with Yu," said Bintang as he embraced Astrid's shoulder.

Astrid then grabs the Star's hand, pulls it and hastily leaves Janus. His hand came into contact with another man, making Janus' heart instantly feel pain. Standing speechlessly staring at his wife who went hand in hand with a man, made Janus just annoyed.
