It's nine o'clock in the night Janus hasn't come home yet. Dinner was ready, now it has cooled down. Astrid sat at the dining table, with her hands folded over her chest. Already several times Astrid stared at the clock that was coiling on her wrist. Janus did not return home. And several times he contacted through his cell phone, Janus did not pick up or reply to the message.
Her heart was so agitated that she thought her husband might be with the woman she met at the cinema. The woman who once filled her heart, the woman who made Astrid's heart feel upset at this moment. What made his mind float, made his head unable to think clearly. His eyes were too heavy with water. I don't know what made her eyes soaked with water. The feeling of tightness and unclear thoughts continue to feel itself.
The innocent woman who had never cared about everything her husband did, now cared about it in taste. And slowly the tears that had been held began to drip on the accompaniment with sobs. How painful this was, until Astrid held her left chest. A few minutes later the bell from the door rang. He was happy, he thought it might be Janus.
"Kring... Cring...
Astrid rushed to wipe away the tears that were stuck on both her cheeks and eyes. Then immediately opened the door of his apartment. When the door opened, what he expected to come was not in front of him. Her face was bent down in disappointment staring at the person in front of her was not her husband, but rather Titan.
"Your grid is crying" said Titan, holding Astrid's cheek.
Astrid took Titan's hand off her cheek. "No."
I don't know why Titan looked frantically at Astrid who looked so swollen.
"I'm sure you're crying. It must be Janus sir."
"Never be prejudiced against him. What you see does not necessarily correspond to what you say. I hope today you didn't bother me, because I'm tired."
Astrid immediately closed the door to her apartment. Then go towards the dining table and pick up dishes that have been cold to warm them back up.
After a warm meal, Astrid again served it on the table, then she sat back down. She stayed up all night just to wait for her husband's return. It was almost midnight when Janus did not return. Astrid was still awake, and did not give up waiting for Janus' return. Tired and sleepy, he may be feeling it. But it was not burdensome, because he would still wait for him even though his eyes were heavy due to his sleepiness.
Until 12:30, the sound of people pressing the password button on the door was heard. Yeah, maybe it was Janus. Because the only ones who know the door password are Janus and Astrid. So it's most likely Janus.
Janus came home, he looked a mess. Go to the kitchen and get a glass of water to drink. While Astrid stared at the dish in front of her with a blank look.
"Why not sleep?" ask Janus.
"I should have asked. Why did you just come home and your body smelled of alcohol" Astrid said without looking.
"I went to the club with my friends."
"You know that if I've been waiting for you, I've warmed food twice. Even last night you were angry when I came home late, but what are you doing today. You came home late with a body that smelled of alcohol."
"Sorry I came home late and made you wait. But why do you care about me, shouldn't you care about me."
"I also don't understand why I should care about a jerk like you. The man who went with his ex-lover, even that woman was already his sister-in-law's candidate."
"So what you say! you even went with another man. You know, I was so agitated this afternoon and worried that our family members saw you go out with a man. You won't know how much that leaves me, seeing you go with the Stars" said Janus raising his voice.
"I didn't go to see Luna but followed you, making sure that our family members didn't cross paths with you. I met Luna it was just a coincidence. He booked a ticket with the seat number next to me. He even came with his friend just to watch instead of meeting me."
Astrid moved from her seat. "But I'm sure you still like him. Because I can tell by your gaze when I was at your grandfather's house. You were drunk it must be because of Luna" he said as he entered the room.
"I went to the club just to have fun with my friend. And one more thing that Luna did not come with me to the nightclub" cried Janus.
While in the room, Astrid's cries broke. For some reason, his quarrel this time made his heart very sick. Janus also felt pain in his heart.
Janus was sitting in the middle room, he sighed several times. I don't know why his chest feels tight if you remember Astrid who was with the Star last afternoon. His mind was in a rage, to the point of keeping him awake.
Until the hour hand is four o'clock, Janus is still awake. He felt no sleep at all. His gaze was blank, staring in one direction with his arms folded across his chest.
Until the clock strikes at 05:30, Astrid exits her room. His face was still in a fit of annoyance. Instantly Janus felt awkward as Astrid walked out of her room. He swallowed his saliva, then stood up from his seat.
"Morning," he greeted her with nervousness.
Astrid ignored him, even just looking back at him. As usual before going to school, Astrid cleaned the apartment and prepared breakfast first. After all, he took a shower and got ready for school. However, when after doing neatly, Astrid just went without breakfast first.
"Why go straight away? no breakfast yet" cried Janus.
Astrid still ignored Janus. Just leave without answering. After crying last night, his eyes looked swollen. Walk with a face that looks sad. His heart might be a little relieved, because all night he let out his cries. Yes, even though it still hurts in his heart, when he remembers his quarrel with Janus last night.
Quiet on the roadside waiting for the arrival of angkot. Suddenly, Titan comes to him.
"Are you in trouble?" ask Titan.
"Nothing," Astrid replied with her flat expression.
Titan immediately held Astrid's cheek. "I know you must be crying."
"Not to be so damn ignorant."
"No need to deny it, because no matter how you deny it, I can see that you've been crying."
Suddenly Janus came with an irritated face.
"Not touching it" said Janus, removing the Titan's hand from Astrid's cheek.
