Chapter 8 ~Sahabat~

Because friends complement each other

- Mayn Urr Izqi

The last piece of information from the school is the lesson schedule. The yogi was still in the corner of the room, copying various words painted on the blackboard.

About five minutes ago, she and Rizki arrived at the class. At first there was nothing, except a classmate who joked tirelessly. At that time, Rizki said to return to the concrete chair, spending time until the last bell rang. Rizki said that it's more there because it's cooler.

Yogi also agrees to that, but the real reason is because he didn't find Renata in class. Whereas, on the way to class, he was hoping for the presence of the girl in class. But fate has other plans.

When they turned around, they immediately locked up the intention to leave the classroom. The classroom guardian, new, they had stood behind the door and told them to enter the classroom.

After that, the homeroom teacher announced a new lesson schedule. What Yogi doesn't like is that KBM will take place from tomorrow. That means, the Yogi must prepare for the exam. Especially since he was in ninth grade. That means, he will face various exams. Mid-Semester Exams, Semester Final Exams, Try Out, Daily Exams, and Graduation Exams. All that awaited him, made his head feel heavy, even all of it had not started.

Yogi raised his face, sighed, and stared at the blackboard, again. On the face of the class, the homeroom teacher was sitting on a chair, watching the students.

Slowly, Yogi's attention moved. His attention swept through the classroom. Some of the benches looked uninhabited. He thought that it was only natural since most of the middle disciples were scattered in the corner of the school. On the other hand, there was also no sound of the bell telling the students to enter the classroom. The atmosphere outside the classroom was still the same, noisy, as before.

One of the uninhabited benches belonged to Renata and Lia. It seems that the two girls are still in the library. Perhaps Renata was still immersed in the book being read, while Lia was still in the dreamland.

“You didn't copy it?” Rizki's voice entered the ears, attracting Yogi's attention.

“Eh? Yes, I copied it,” Yogi replied as he moved his hand again.

“Let me guess! You must be thinking of Renata.” When Rizki says that, Yogi's hand gets stuck. The veins froze, stiff.

“B-so,” replied Yogi with a frowning face.

“Well, that's not a bad thing. I also experienced it, in the past,” said Rizki while turning attention to the notebook. The man's hand moved again, noting what was written on the board.

“What do you think they're doing in the library?” Yogi back copying.

“Hmmm ...,” Rizki buzzed like a mosquito, “kurasa Renata will read a novel. If he were to read a light novel, perhaps he would have already spent some volume. For Lia, I think she'll pile up books as a pillow. Well, hopefully he doesn't wet the book with his water.”

Yogi did not expect that. Very rarely do they think the same. They usually have a contrary idea. However, there seemed to be some cases where they could think of the same thing.

“I did not expect that we had the same thoughts,” muttered Yogi.

“Well, given that Lia is very noisy and annoying, it makes us think bad things about the girl. When talking about a quiet and boring library, then coupled with an annoying personality, people will definitely think that the person will feel bored and asleep. At least that's what most people think,” explained Rizki.

“Emmm ...,” Yogi tilted his face, trying to digest what he had just heard from Rizki. “You mean?” finally his brain spewed out all that.

“I mean, it's natural for us to assume like that because it's Lia who makes us think like that.” Rizki's hand stopped moving. Rizki leaned back on the back of the chair and looked at him.

“But how does Lia do it? I mean, that's just our personal assumption,” Yogi came back to writing when he finished saying that.

“Theattitude. If you ask someone else, who is new to Lia, about what Lia will do in the library, they will probably answer ‘tidur’,” explained Rizki once again.

“I still do not understand,” finally Yogi finished copying.

“Hmmm ...” Rizki looked at the ceiling while buzzing, “You can tell that Lia gave us suggestions of her behavior,” Rizki again explained.

“Ah, so Lia indirectly gives us the impression that she is a slacker of her annoying behavior. It makes us think that the girl will definitely sleep, out of boredom, if it is in the library,” finally Yogi swallowed an explanation from Rizki.

“Yap, more or less like that,” Rizki nodded.

“I didn't expect that you had such thoughts. I mean, where would anyone think of a reason why he thinks, like that, of others?” Yogi shrugs his shoulders while tilting his face.

“Yeah, you're right.” Rizki closed her eyes. The man piled his hands on the table and put his face there.

When he saw that, Yogi thought that Rizki had not changed in the slightest since they met, two years ago. In her eyes, Rizki was still the same person, sleepy, intelligent, and reliable. However, on the other hand, he actually learned many things from Rizki.

As Yogi realizes that, Yogi feels that he is becoming a burden. Perhaps Rizki could reach a higher realm if befriended others.

“Rizki,” Yogi mentions his partner's name.

“Ya?”

“Do I burden you?” Rizki opened her eyes, looking at him coldly, as usual.

“Why are you asking that? That's ludicrous.”

“I mean, you're smart and kind, even though your mouth is sometimes spicy. You can solve problems quickly and you are much admired. Jjk ...―”

“So you feel that you are a burden?” Yogi is silent, unable to grumble, just staring at meu.

“You should be able to reach higher ground without me,” Yogi said.

“No. I am here because of you too. If I am not with you, there is also a possibility that I will be at a lower stage. Therefore, I should be thanking you,” Rizki said all that while smiling at him.

“ Me ..., not load?”

“Of course not stupid. You are my friend,” said Rizki while raising her fist.

“Thank you,” Yogi also raised his fist and hit, slowly, Rizki's fist.

“Alright! After you copy this, you can go home. Also, please tell your friends about this new schedule,” said the homeroom teacher while deleting the writing on the board.

“Yey!” the whole class cheered, excited.

Each individual, in sight, immediately cleaned the table and put all the stationery into the bag. Some people had even packed all the supplies and left the classroom.

“This is a great opportunity to get close to Renata. You ready?” Rizki throws another question at him.

“Ya!”
