Chapter 40 ~Two~
“From all my life, only when with you feels real.”
vincent Volaju / Cowboy Bebop: The Movie
Under the tree, the Yogi stood, waiting for the idol who had not yet appeared. Since then, he did not move even though the itching had accompanied.
Never implied the thought that he would go for a walk, alone, with Renata. Until yesterday, it was just a wishful thinking, nothing more than a hallucination that dwells in the mind. However, now he was waiting for Renata who had not arrived yet.
Yesterday, Renata took her to the playground. Yogi actually wants to refuse, but the mouth actually says the wrong word. Before realizing it, Renata was already smiling and giving the place and time to meet. Finally, he could not avoid the stupidity he made.
He also wanted to ask why Renata had invited him. But he didn't get to ask that. In the end, the question was still ringing in the head and waiting to be released. However, he was not sure that the question would be revealed.
“Haaa ..” Yogi took a long breath. From his pants pocket, he pulled the phone and pressed one of its buttons. The phone screen showed at 9:43 a.m. Renata said to arrive before ten o'clock which meant there were still a few minutes before Renata was late.
It is true that Yogi wants to reject Renata's invitation. However, he even had trouble sleeping because he was waiting for tomorrow. Last night, his heart couldn't calm down. His heart was like a war drum that continued to be pounded until dawn. He was drowning in pleasure. Thoughts drift when you think of Renata.
Without realizing it, Yogi has displayed a smile on his lips.
“Mother, Big Brother why?” a little boy pointed at him.
“Ignore That Big Brother!” answer the child's mother. The two men left him in silence.
Yogi turned the other way, scratching his back head that had been asking to be carded. His mind was already running millions of simulai when he started traveling with Renata. Maybe they will be in the same boat, pedaling to the middle of the pool while joking. Maybe they feed the wandering monkeys. They can also ride a boom car, or just take a walk in the park. However, Yogi also brings a change of clothes if Renata wants to swim.
No more caring about anything. Yogi brought all the allowance he had saved for the past two weeks. However, just in case, he also brought some savings money. After all, he had no idea how much it would cost.
At least he knew that Renata's meal portions were normal. Unlike Lia who could spend four plates of rice.
“Wait!” Yogi raises face.
His brain began to spin and rethink Renata's nature. There was a time when Renata cared so much about Lia, even Renata often talked about Lia when she was alone with him. Then Lia is a person who likes to play, like a child.
Renata took her to the playground. The playground is a playground. Kids love to play. Lia's like a child.
“Gosh.” Yogi rubs his face.
Most likely, Renata also invited Lia and Rizki. If given the fact that Renata stuck to Lia, it would make sense. After all, there was no way the girl would just take him along. Renata has no reason to do that.
“Haaa ..” I don't know how many times he breathed. However, he was sure that it had happened repeatedly. It was enough to make him tired, even before starting the event.
The phone re-entered the pants pocket, while his attention was focused on the sun peering out from behind the leaves. Blessing of the sun caressed the surface of his face, giving a soothing warm feeling. When the blowing wind brought dust to the eyes, his hair waved up, down, alternately. He turned, closed his eyes to avoid the dust that was about to perch.
“The wind is quite tight, yes,” heard the voice of a girl nearby.
When the gust of wind subsided, Yogi opened his eyes. Renata had stood by his side. The girl was wearing a white T-shirt wrapped in a jeans jacket. Pencil pants cover the legs and white shoes as footwear. On Renata's shoulder, he could see a bag of sling hanging.
“Morning, Yogi,” greet Renata.
“Morning, Renata,” replied, “tas that look heavy,” he continued while staring at Renata's bag.
“Ah, this? Not particularly. It's quite light actually,” reply Renata while lifting the bag.
Slowly, Yogi reached out to the girl. With a smile, he said, “Let me bring.”
“No, thank you. I can take him.” Renata waved at him.
“But ...―”
“Renata,” Yogi mentions the girl's name.
“Alright, I give up,” replied Renata while handing the bag to Yogi.
When the bag is in Yogi's hand, Yogi cradles his weight.
“This is quite heavy actually,” Yogi said after estimating the weight of the bag, “what is it?”
“You really asked for a girl's luggage?” Renata tilted her face, grinning at Yogi who was just conscious of the question being asked.
“Ah, sorry. I didn't realize asking stupid questions,” replied.
“Well, it's okay. By the way I can see that you are also carrying a backpack. What's it all about?” Renata peeked at the backpack Yogi was carrying. Yogi's attention followed Renata, but soon turned and looked back at the girl.
“You really want to know about it? Or do you just want to know?”
“Oh, don't repeat your question twice!”
“Ahahaha ..” Yogi chuckles.
“Have you been waiting a long time?” Renata throws another question.
“Not really. I got here a few minutes ago.” Yogi starts holding Renata's bag and looks for a comfortable position. Now he looks like a freight carrier for carrying two bags. But he doesn't care.
“Thank God. I can remember when my brother. Yuutha was with us, that time. So, I thought you came early.” Renata smiled wryly.
“Eeeh ..., it wasn't my fault. That's because you guys came late, right?”
“Oh, don't make me remember! That's annoying.” Renata waved, hiding a face.
“Basic,” reply Yogi.
The yogi starts to spread his attention around. However, he did not find the figure of Lia or Rizki. It made him wonder, were those two people late again?
If Brother. Yuutha is by his side, maybe sister. Yuutha had called Rizki repeatedly and yelled at the man. When Lia and Rizki arrive, they will get a lecture. It might end with Lia almost fainting again. However, he was pretty sure that Renata did not invite Kak. Yuuta.
“Alright, come!” Renata moved from his side.
“Eh?” Yogi makes a strange sound.
“Why? Is something wrong?” Renata stopped his steps, looking back at Yogi who was still pecking under the tree.
“Emmm ..., what about Lia and Rizki?” ask Yogi.
“I didn't invite them. Didn't I tell you yesterday that you would accompany me? That means there's only the two of us at the moment.”
“Ha?”
“Come!” Renata turned around and led the way.
“O-oke,” Yogi replied while tailing.
