Chapter 43 ~Security~
“Some secrets are better to remain secret – some secret are better left as secret”
Candace Bushnell
Slowly, the sun rose into the western sky. The space flushed as if it was burning, looking like lava floating in the air. A yellowish tinge emanated from the west, scattering the rest of the solar power that was about to end the day.
Birds were replaced by winged mammals. The streets are getting drowned in chaos. The lights on the edge began to show kirana, breaking the darkness that was about to rule the day.
The wind blew, bringing a coldness that pierced the skin. But humans do not stop moving. They speed up the pace. I don't know what their goal is, but Yogi thinks it's important because they don't stop for a second.
After lunch break, Renata drags her to various rides. I don't know how long they've been playing, but that's enough to give a sense of fatigue that builds up. But he doesn't hate it. She was happy to be able to look at Renata's smile all day. Thanks to today, he could see the other side of the quiet Renata.
It made her grateful that Renata rarely spoke, except with Lia. However, the girl could not brake her mouth today. It's like Renata blew up everything that came to mind. Renata can even be selfish and spoiled towards her. That was something he never expected because he thought Renata had a mature personality.
“Hmmm ...” The yogi turns his attention when he hears the snoring.
What he got was a girl sleeping on his shoulder. Black hair, long, the girl became his attention-grabber, when he first met. Now pinned a red, blood, pincer over the girl's ear, perfecting her already charming appearance. The face of the girl is always impressed mature, calm, and quiet. However, Yogi knows that it only applies to people who are new to Renata. He had seen the other side of Renata.
“I want that ...,” Renata muttered.
Yogi smiled wryly when he heard that. That was one of the unexpected things from Renata. Speaking while sleeping, it is also a sign that Renata is exhausted. Therefore, it was no wonder that Renata was now asleep on his shoulder.
The girl looked like an angel when she fell asleep. The thin lips, eye-catching flickers, and skin as bright as a sun smile. All of it blends into a rose that attracts the heart.
Being able to spend time with Renata for a full day, it still felt like a dream. Every sense that is imprinted within, feels like an uncertain hallucination. As he recalled all the flavors he got, he was like drowning, drifting, in a void. No, it was not empty because there was a wall made of scenes with Renata. Until now, all of those tastes still leave a mark in themselves, nurturing the seed of love that is budding.
The yogi opens his eyes when he feels a warmth in his hands. As his gaze moved at the source, Renata had clasped the back of his hand. The girl had soft skin, even softer when compared to the best quality fabrics in the world.
Slowly, Yogi flipped his palm, returning the hand of the girl. His attention went around, staring around. Right on her right side is Renata, then next to Renata is a window that displays the sky that is now starting to melt, sinking in blue before finally star-studded.
In front of him was a chair that others occupied. On his left side was another person. And so it is behind him.
They're on the city bus. Want to go home. His initial plans were to split up when the bus arrived at a stop near Renata's house. However, he could not wake the girl. So, he intended to carry Renata later. After that, he just went home.
He wished for Renata's parents to be at home, given the fact that Renata's parents were busy working, he was quite worried that the two were not at Renata's house. If the two are not home, he must wait until Renata wakes up or he must wake Renata up.
Slowly, Yogi turned away. His attention locked up space. Every now and then the tree passes through the field of vision. However, his attention still locked onto the horizon.
“Hoammm ...” finally Yogi yawns. His body began to feel heavy and his mind faded. He wanted to shut his mind and sleep until they arrived. But he can't do that. He didn't want to miss the stop and end up in a foreign place.
“May he not be angry because of this,” murmured while placing his head on the crown of Renata.
He didn't ask Renata's permission to do that. It was true that he slept on Renata's lap just now. However, he never knew if Renata would give permission for his actions this time. He even clasped Renata's sleeping hands. Therefore, he could only hope that Renata would not wake up and nag him.
“Renata,” Yogi mentioned the girl's name, but no reply was heard, “Thank you for today. You made today feel perfect. I even wish we could go on like this. I was stupid. But, do you know? Ilove you. I loved you from the beginning we met on that day.”
“...” no answer from Renata. Of course because the girl was sleeping.
“Gosh, how stupid am I. Let's make this a secret between me and myself.” Yogi shook his head while massaging his head. “It looks like I'm too tired.”
Yogi sighed and shifted his attention. High-rise buildings and roadside overgrown with palm trees became his eye-welder. He remembered all that. He was close to Renata's house.
“Kiri!” his yell. Soon, several people shouted the same word.
Shortly thereafter, the bus wheels stopped in front of a stop. Yogi placed Renata on his back and stepped outside with a few others. He was the center of attention. However, he thought that it was natural to carry two bags and a girl on the back. If the police stopped him, he wouldn't be surprised.
In front of the fence, Yogi stopped stepping for a moment. This was the second time he had set foot in Renata's house, but he was still amazed by the grandeur.
Slowly, Yogi opened the gate and passed through the grass. There was a car parked in front of the garage. It might be Renata's father's car. So, Renata's parents must be home.
Ding-dong! Buzzer sounds.
“Ya, briefly!” shouted a man from inside. Before long, the door opened and revealed a middle-aged man wearing shorts and a plain T-shirt. “Oh, Yogi. Ah, gosh. Sorry to bother you,” said the man when he saw Renata sleeping on his back.
“Nothing, Om,” the answer is short.
“Sini! Let me carry it.” The man reached out to two hands, while Yogi turned around and handed Renata over. When Yogi turned around again, Renata seemed to be carried like a princess.
“Oh, and this is Renata bag,” he said while removing the sling bag wrapped around the body.
“Oh, emmm ..., just apply to me!” said the man while bowing his body. Yogi obeyed the man and wrapped the bag around him.
“Alright, because it's night, I have to excuse me, Om.”
“Loh? You don't want to go in first?”
“Ah, thanks for the offer, but my parents will be anxious if I come home too late.”
“Ah, that makes sense. However, you still haven't visited here, you know.”
“I will save that invitation for now.”
“Good. See you soon.”
“Excuse.” The yogi turns around and passes through the garden. When she was outside Renata's home environment, she took the time to look at Renata. However, that figure was no longer visible. What looks like is only a magnificent building that is tightly closed.
Yogi stepped away.
Silent. Wall clock shows at 12 p.m. The streets were quiet, but Renata was awake. The girl walked to the front of the window, staring at the sky studded with grains of light. In his ear, a smart phone.
“Halo? Don't you know what time it is?” said a man across.
“I've done your command,” replied Renata.
“Oh, that? Did Yogi say anything interesting to you?”
“Nothing special.”
“Special? You think fried rice?”
“Haa .., I thank you for your information. It was fun with Yogi.”
“Don't think about it! I just do whatever I like.”
“Good. I'm getting sleepy.”
“How about next command?”
“Hold until we sit on the bench SMA!”
“You sure?”
“Very. Therefore, let no one suspect! I'm counting on you, Rizki!”
“You can count on me.”
Renata turns off the call and turns to the mattress and slams her body and closes her eyes.
