Chapter 29 ~Manis~

“Love can treat a broken heart, a bad luck, or a tragedy. Love is an eternal friend.”

- Mario Teguh

The mouth of the Yogi is locked, unable to reveal the sentence in the heart. His eyes pierced Renata's face less than ten inches away. The girl turned her back on the light, giving off a sparkling effect. The eyes, the brown, were teary, mirroring his face, as well as reflecting on kirana. The girl's cheeks were blushing, making her heart pound as if it were getting a reward.

Unable to turn. Yogi locked his attention on the girl. At the same time feel the softness that binds the body. His chest pressed down on Renata's chest. However, he did not feel crowded. It just feels smooth despite the huffing. He could no longer tell the difference between Renata's body and the best cloth in the world. It might feel the same. No, but Renata's body feels softer.

Subconsciously, Yogi held his breath, resulting in Renata's breath successfully caressing the surface of his face. The aroma is fragrant, tickling the nose like mint leaves.

Slowly, his hand moved, intending to circle Renata's body.

“Y-Yogi ...” that soft voice entered the ear, pulling back his consciousness on Renata who was still pressing on him.

The yogi immediately takes a deep breath, making up for some volume of air that is not inhaled. He pushed, slowly, Renata. Renata took some distance. The girl sat next to him, while Yogi got up and sat on the edge of the bed.

Now they make a distance of about one meter. Near, but also unachievable. Yogi felt that the broad path was wide before him, blocking his intention to possess Renata.

The yogi turned, bowed deeply, staring at the white tile reflecting on his face. His face was burning, red like embers ready to burn everything. He felt stupid, not because he missed an opportunity, but because he was tempted by Renata's body. If Renata hadn't called out to him, he might have drowned Renata in a fistful. I don't know what happens if he does that.

“You okay?” Yogi throws questions, just thaws the atmosphere that suffocates the lungs.

“Y-ya.” Yogi doesn't know if Renata is looking at him or not, because he doesn't even dare to peek at Renata. He did not want to show his face covered in blood, under the skin.

“I mean your legs. Aren't you sprained?” Frustai begins, Yogi tries to peek at the girl.

“Kurasa ..., fine.” Renata pushes the body, trying to get up, but soon returns to sitting on the bed.

“Ah, relax!” Reflexes pushed Yogi towards the girl. “Emm ..., is there a medicine box?”

“It ..., it's in the kitchen,” replied Renata with a cute face. The girl seemed to be suffering, perhaps her pain was too severe to contain.

“Please wait here!” Yogi is leaving. He walked down the hall, down to the living room, and came to the kitchen.

There, she spreads her attention, trying to find the box Renata is referring to. Next to the door, a small room earlier, he found a small box, hanging on the wall.

Feeling that it was what he was looking for, he rushed over and opened the box. The guess is right, it's a medicine box. He could find various drugs there, but did not find a special bandage sprain.

Yogi sighed for a moment, but he immediately looked for painkillers. The only thing he found was paracetamol.

“This is enough,” murmured while closing the box. He was about to return, but his attention was fixed on the refrigerator.

No longer thinking, he immediately approached the refrigerator. Refrigerator door opened. He took out some ice cubes. He went through the kitchen, opened each nightstand and closed it back when he could not find the basin. His worries are growing in every second wasted, in search of a basin.

When his attention was fixed on the nightstand attached to the wall, on the stove, he opened it without a second thought and found the basin there. He pulled out the basin. Ice cubes are put in plastic bags, Paracetamol goes into shirt pockets.

Not long after, Yogi had brought everything he knew for first aid, a sprained leg. The basin contained a bag of ice cubes in his right hand, while his left hand carried a glass of water.

He left the kitchen, returning to Renata who was waiting in the room.

“Renata,” he said when he got to the doorstep.

“Yogi,” replied Renata, “many of which you brought. What's all that for?”

“For first aid,” Yogi replied as he entered the room.

He approached Renata. A glass of water was handed over to the girl. Then, he took his place on the floor, putting a basin filled with ice bags there.

“We have to compress your feet,” he said.

“Ah, fine!” answer Renata.

“How much should I drink?”

“Enough one,” he replied while handing over the medicine.

“Good.”

It didn't take long, Renata had chugged a grain of medicine. The empty glass is left on the bed, while Yogi begins to reach for Renata's feet. The girl's skin was smooth, smoother than silk cloth. However, he has swelling in the left ankle.

“Ah!” Renata whimpering.

“Sorry. Am I too rude?” yogi.

“No-nothing. You can continue,” replied Renata. The girl tried to smile, but the smile had no feeling in her eyes, realising that she had to move quickly.

“I'll speed up,” answers.

He placed Renata's feet in a basin, then covered her with a bag of ice. When he felt that it was enough, Yogi pulled his hand, staring at Renata. Again, their eyes meet.

For a few seconds, they stared at each other, but Yogi immediately turned away. He doesn't want to be drowned in awkwardness anymore.

“Thank you,” said Renata.

“Sama-sama,” reply.

“Emm ..., how do you know how to handle this?” Renata throws the question.

“My leg was sprained when playing basketball. Coach did that to me, so I just applied it to you,” he replied.

“But that's you look experienced.”

“Not really. I've only done it a few times.”

“But it's awesome for me.”

“Is that? Thank you.”

“Not ...” Renata shakes. “Thank you,” said the girl as she offered her a smile.

“Sama-sama,” reply while smiling anyway.

“By the way Rizki and Lia are still not arriving,” Renata turned away, staring at the sky outside the window.

“You're right.” Yogi got up and sat down at Renata's side. “Maybe they will arrive in a few minutes,” he said.

“True. Somehow I have missed the noisy Lia,” Renata replied.

“True. I even missed Rizki.”'s taunts

He's only been through a few minutes at Renata's house. But it all feels like years. He felt that too much had happened to him. However, he enjoyed every second that passed.

He also felt that his distance with Renata had been trimmed. It made him satisfied with the things that happened to him.

Ding-dong!

Renata and Yogi raised their faces.

“Maybe it was them,” Renata said.

“Let me open the door. You rest here!” The yogi got up and passed to the door of the room.

“Ah, yes. Thank you.”

“Sama-sama.”
