Chapter 47 ~Hard Work~
“A dream does not materialize through magic, but rather requires sweat, determination, and hard work.”
- Colin Powell
Silent. Not a single ear-piercing sound. Everyone is focused on the exam sheet. The brain rotates and the hands shaded the answer. Seventh and eighth graders were shut down, creating the perfect conditions for the final exam, which determined the future.
The yogi locks the problem sheet, while the mind digests the sentence and solves the problem. When the answer to the question was solved, he immediately shaded the answer that felt right.
Occasional sounds of paper friction filled the room. However, Yogi did not care about that. His mind was drowning in the written matter.
When I finished shading, Yogi decided to double-check the answer sheet. Of the fifty questions, he has worked on 38. He thinks that's pretty good. However, he wanted to revisit the question he had already answered. He also wants to re-read the incomprehensible.
By doing so, he was able to find things that were accidentally missed. When that happens, he will be able to do those things. If this does not work, he used to create a simple scheme and answer it with logic.
“This is the last. Come, spirit!” he said to himself.
Today is the last day of the national exam. In one day, he worked on two national exam subjects. Yesterday he was working on Bhs material. Indonesia and Mathematics. By Bhs. Indonesia, he is confident with every answer he gives. After all, his grades are in Bhs lessons. Indonesia is always above nine. For Mathematics, he was pretty sure. He felt he made some minor mistakes, but he could not find them when reviewing the answers.
Today he is working on Bhs. England and IPA. The answer is in Bhs. England is to be trusted. He often spends time playing English. Therefore, he was confident with every answer.
Different things he got in the IPA exam. Although he understood most of the questions, but there were still some problems that made it difficult. If the brain is a machine, it may have overheated and steam billowed from the head.
It's a shame that he didn't know the word surrender. Therefore he reviewed the questions that had been passed and read them back carefully.
Slowly, his attention peered at the other classmates. They seem to have trouble doing. Similarly, but they will not be able to cooperate or cheat. That's because everyone gets a different problem package.
Well, it was a surprise from PUSPENDIK and KEMENDIBUD. No one thought that they would give a different question to everyone in the same class. It reduces the number of frauds that occur and certainly reduces the value obtained by students. However, Yogi feels that it does not apply to some people.
Yogi shifted his attention and went back to work. The brain re-processes information, solves problems, and sends signals to the hands to shaded answers.
The crane! Bell rings.
Yogi's head hit the surface of the table with a long sigh. I don't know how much time was wasted, but he felt that it was a long time. He felt like he had spent decades on a single question. However, it's all over.
Now Yogi can relax for a moment and wait for the results of the exam. If he doesn't remember wrongly, the results of the exam will be announced on the internet. Maybe he should go to the cafe if he wants to see results. However, waiting for the results will be long. It might take weeks.
Maybe he'll go to the nearest sports field home and play basketball there. Perhaps he could study as preparation if he failed the national examination. Well, that doesn't mean he wants to take a follow-up exam. He only wanted to be on guard if he had to take the High School entrance examination, as it could not enter through the path of achievement.
“Haaa ..” Again, Yogi sighed.
“Send your answer sheet and question sheet to the front!” the supervising teacher gave the order.
While the teacher tidied up all the sheets, the students began to tidy up their respective desks. Yogis do the same. To his two hands tidied up the messy table, inserting each stationery into a pencil case. When the table looks neat, he immediately puts the pencil case and chest table into the backpack.
“Congratulations for completing the national exam. However, do not let your guard down and pray for results that match your hard work! That's it from us, you can go home,” said the supervisor.
Everyone immediately got up and left their respective benches. No one was screaming or running. Well, it was because they were too tired after facing the national exam. Yogi himself felt that.
Slowly, he got up and followed the other comrades. As he left the classroom, the school hallway was flooded with ninth graders. Everyone put on a tired face and some even pale.
“Yogi!” Yogi turns away when someone says his name. Not far from the place is a fresh-looking Rizki.
“Yo, how's your exam?” Yogi, Rizki, Lia, and Renata are placed in different classes. So they can't know each other's circumstances. Only when they got home could they say hello and exchange stories.
“I had trouble working on some problems, but somehow I can still fill in the answer.” Rizki heaved a heavy sigh.
“Egh ..., I was curious about Renata and Lia. Are they okay?” yogi asked while scratching his back head.
Actually what she was worried about was Lia. The reason for that was because Lia was not as intelligent as she was. She was worried if Lia was pushing herself too much. However, he did not think that Lia would do that. After all, Lia always took everything lightly.
“I ..., in .., si ..., ni Kak. Yogi,” when someone mentions his name, Yogi immediately turns away.
“Whoa!” Yogi jumps to the back, “Z-zombi?” tanyakanya. What stood there was a girl, short, pale-faced and dry-faced. However, after looking closely, it was Lia who was exhausted. “Oh, Lia.”
“He thinks too much this time,” said Renata who accompanied Lia.
“Ah, I think it's reasonable,” Yogi responded while breathing in.
“I want ice cream,” murmured Lia.
“Why don't we obey him? After all UN is done,” Rizki proposes.
“Well, that's not a bad idea,” Renata agrees.
“Enjoy! We're going to eat ice cream,” Yogi approaches Lia.
“Gendong,” said Lia while lifting into two hands.
“Haa .., alright,” Yogi took off the backpack and threw it at Rizki. Rizki receives the bag, while Yogi immediately holds Lia.
“Come, leave!” said Renata.
Slowly, the three immediately followed Renata. However, Lia had actually buried her face on Yogi's back. Maybe rest yourself exhausted.
