Chapter 13 ~Ilusi~
“Sleep and dream. Let go of everything for a moment. Because dreams are a place where you can be anything.”
- Mayn Urr Izqi
Time whirring. Seconds passed, turning into minutes. Minutes pass into hours. The darkness that swallowed the day faded. The sun was smiling in the eastern sky, illuminating the surface of the world and dividing blessings on all beings.
Yogi sits in a corner of the classroom, alone, waiting for another colleague who has not arrived yet. Actually, he didn't mean to leave early. But somehow his body moved on its own. Before he knew it, he was already in class, sitting down and waiting for Rizki.
He turned to the window, staring at the blue sky that was engulfed by a wisp of steam. The white spots move slowly, following the wind. The birds flap their wings, wading through the sea of clouds.
When he saw them, Yogi remembered his three companions, Rizki, Renata, and Lia. On Sunday, he's going to the mall with the three of them. There's no plan for that. Perhaps they would just look around and eat at one of the stalls.
If he doesn't remember wrongly, Rizki has finished one book. Therefore, maybe Rizki will buy a new book later. On the other hand, Rizki intends to take Kak. Yuutha, maybe the two of them will be on different paths. If that happened, then he would face Lia and Renata alone.
Facing Renata was already quite difficult for him, as he had not been able to control himself well when at Renata's side. Plus the noisy Lia, maybe she won't be able to talk to Renata at all. It would be the worst of his life.
“Haaa ...,” Yogi sighed.
He held his chin up, moved his focus around, but found no one there. The seats and benches are still uninhabited.
The focus shifted to the face of the class, staring at the wall clock. It shows at 5:30 in the morning. I don't know what got into him until he left for school that early. What is clear is that he is sorry. He should still be able to sleep for several tens of minutes.
“I'd better close my eyes,” murmured while stacking my arms on the table, intending to use it as a pillow. As his head lay in his arms, he began to close his eyes.
“Do not sleep in class!” The yogi sprang, almost jumping in surprise.
The voice stroked, softly, the senses of his listeners. His attention flowed to the source of the sound. What he found in the doorway was a girl.
Every moment moves slowly. The girl's black hair was waving at him. The beauty of the girl pierced the eyes, giving off a sense that could not be explained with words. His heart pounded harder, giving him an ever-widening taste.
“Don't look at me like that!” the girl's voice woke her from the daydream.
“Ah, sorry,” Yogi turn away, hide increasingly hot face.
“I didn't expect anyone would come this early,” the girl walked over, walked up to her.
“Ahahaha .., I also do not understand why it came so early,” Yogi replied, scratching his cheek.
“Do you have a habit of scratching your cheek?”
“Eh?” when Yogi raised his face, the girl was already nearby. The girl sat right in the front seat, facing him with a gentle look.
“You always scratch your cheek when you talk to me. Is that your custom?”
“No, actually I didn't realize that,” he replied.
“Hee ..., so you don't realize it. I think it could be one way to recognize you,” the girl smiled.
“Ahaha,” he smiled wryly, realizing his stupidity. However, thank you for that because he was able to talk to an angel. On the other hand, Yogi no longer regretted coming too early. Thanks to that, he found the figure of the angel of heaven.
“How are you?” the girl threw another question.
“Good.” Yogi lowered his head, unable to show his face. “How about you?”
“I'm good, thank you for asking.”
“Emm ...,” Yogi buzzes, tilling everything, trying to melt the atmosphere that feels throats choking.
“Aaa ..., do you always come this early?” finally he spewed something out of his mouth.
“Ah, no. Usually I leave around six, but somehow I just leave early this time,” replied the angel.
“So we are the same?” Yogi started to raise his face. He didn't want to lose a single moment, he wanted to record everything when he was with the angel.
“That's.”
“It sounds weird.”
“Indeed ...” shortly afterwards, silence crept from behind the shadows, confining them to each other in silence.
The yogi starts to rack his brain, thinking of other things to discuss. However, his mind was bleached. He found nothing there, except a void that swallowed consciousness.
“Yogi,” the angel mentioned his name.
“Ya?”
“Do you believe in destiny?”
“Eh?” Yogi tilted his face, not understanding why the angel was asking something like that. “Why ask that?”
“Do you believe in destiny?” the angel repeated. Maybe serious about this strange question.
“Em ..., I ..., I don't know.” Yogi shook his head and continued, “I feel that it is not something I can answer. Then what about you?”
“I believe him. Think about! We both have no reason to arrive early, but we leave anyway. Because of this simple thing, we can talk right now. If that's not destiny, then what is it called?”
“Emmm ..., coincidence?” Yogi shrugs his shoulders when he gives an answer.
“Ahahaha...,” laughter exploded, filling the entire class, causing Yogi to feel annoyed.
“Don't laugh at me! I have no other answers in the brain.” Yogi puffed his cheeks, put on an upset face. “After all, why would you ask something like that?”
“Because I believe that fate will connect us,” replied the angel while wiping away tears.
“Eh?” Yogi. His brain turned, trying to digest what had just stung his chest. However, no matter how many times he thought of that, he still got the same answer. “You ..., men ...―”
“I like you,” the angel propped up his chin, tilted his face while smiling at him.
“Ah, that ...,” his thoughts kosososng. He can't do anything. If he was a computer, the word ‘eror’ would have already popped up, filling the monitor.
“Do you not like me?”
“I like you, since first sight!” subconsciously, Yogi shouted that. His words echoed, filling the classroom. However, it also made him feel stupid for shouting. Now she could only hope that no one would hear her screams.
“I also.” The girl got up, shortening the distance of the face between them.
“What are you doing?” The yogi pulls away, but the angel pulls his tie. In the end, he no longer moved until his eyes stared at each other.
When the angel's breath touched his face, there was only a millimeter of distance left between their lips. At that moment, the train passed.
Dooong! The yogi gets up, jumps out and falls. His back hit the floor. Pain and stabbing spread from the back, making him immediately open his eyes, find out the state of the angel.
He opened his eyes, but instead he found the ceiling of his room.
“I forgot to change that alarm,” murmured, “dream shit.”
