Chapter 41 ~Lacation~
“We are on vacation not to escape, but so that life does not leave us.”
- Unknown
Yogis still have trouble believing what just happened. Renata doesn't take Lia and Rizki. Given Renata's nature, Renata should have invited them both. In addition to avoiding the awkward state with him, it also enlivened the atmosphere rather than the two with him. However, I don't know what Renata meant by not doing that.
Various question marks come to mind, but only one answer appears. Renata harbored feelings for her. Yeah, that's all he thinks and he can't trust his own opinions.
After all, Renata never showed any interest in him. He dared to say that Renata was not interested in him. If Renata is interested in her, the girl should immediately express love and not invite her to play. However, he was still grateful that Renata cared about him.
If Yogi calls out the memories of yesterday, he will remember that Renata approached him who was about to be alone. Not that he managed to be alone, but he actually talked to Renata. Thanks to that, the gripping feeling in the chest was forgotten.
Now he follows Renata who leads the way. He couldn't see Renata's face. However, he was sure that Renata was smiling, staring around.
To be honest, he was about to stand by Renata's side. However, he was not sure that he would be able to maintain his calm later. Therefore, he decided to stay behind and follow the heart.
“Yogi, why are you walking behind like that?” Renata stopped stepping, turned around, faced him. “That makes you look like a bodyguard.”
“I don't mind with that,” reply is short.
“Hmmm ...” Renata's two eyebrows dropped as the cheeks bulged. “Walk beside me! You make me look like you're using your energy.”
“Emmm ...” Yogi turned around while scratching his cheek.
“That's a command! If you don't want to, we should go home now,” said Renata.
They were only ten meters away from the playground gate. If he came home at such a close distance, the officer would be suspicious. On the other hand, the entrance fee money would simply vanish and he was not the type of person who liked to waste something.
Not giving an answer, Yogi approached the girl. He smiled at Renata and Renata returned his smile. As usual, the girl had a smile as beautiful as the sun, spreading a warm feeling left in the heart. For many times, he was grateful that his heart belonged to Renata.
“Come!” he replied with a smile to Renata.
“As it should be,” reply Renata.
Renata turned and went with him. In the crowd, they walked side by side. Their attention could not be drawn to a single point. After noticing one object, their gaze immediately moved and stared at another object.
They also noticed several pairs of lovers holding on. They pitted their eyes for a moment, but immediately turned away, hiding a burning face.
Yogi wants to do that. He wanted to hold Renata's hand, but there was no way he could. Renata is nothing more than a friend. He was also not sure that Renata would allow it.
“Lion,” muttered Renata.
Yogi raised his face, staring at the direction Renata was heading.
An iron cage, large, seemed swarmed by visitors. The cage shuts the giant cat down. The cat had brown eyes, fanged, and clawed. There is no other lion that is a symbol of the city. But the creature did nothing. The cat simply stayed silent on one of the tree branches, closed its eyes and fell asleep.
“You saw it?” yogi asked while pointing at the cage.
“Yeah, it makes sense to reject it.” Yogi turned his attention to the cage. Just by looking, Yogi was already feeling sultry. Plus, such circumstances are very prone to criminal acts. So, avoiding such a place is the right choice. “Lalu ..., there are rides you want to go to?”
“Hmmm .., it's still morning. So I guess we should move the body first. You got any suggestions?”
“How about paddling a boat? It could be a good sport,” he replied as he pointed at a poster of a duck boat stuck to a tree.
“You know? It had no romantic impression at all,” countered Renata with a flat face.
“Aaaa .., ha?” Yogi tilts his face. He didn't understand why he had to ride something romantic. Renata is not even her lover. Waitaminute! Is that a code? “Wait! You want to be in something romantic?”
“Every woman wants to be pampered. I also want to feel something like in the story of the leech on the big screen,” replied Renata while closing her eyes and smiling widely. But that just makes him angry. He almost wished that Renata had given him the code. Sweetheart because it's just a virgin curse.
“Alright, we go to the duck boat,” he said as he stepped.
“Oke,” Renata did not give any other comment.
After buying a ticket. Yogi leave luggage. He didn't want to carry anything when he was on the water. Since he did not know what would happen later, he wanted to avoid things that might be troublesome.
The yogi holds the wheel while pedaling the boat, bringing the boat to the middle. However, he was already feeling tired within a few minutes. Probably because he's been moving less for the last few weeks. Sweaty pouring. However, not a speck of sweat dripped from Renata's face. The girl looked fine, even Renata's smile was still dazzling to the eyes. However, Yogi finally realized that Renata's feet were not pedaling.
Not thinking any longer, he splashed the pool water on the girl. Renata was about to reply, but the intention was undone when he saw the Yogi bathed in sweat. But not apologizing. Renata laughs at Yogi. Yogi sighed with a flat face.
Because he could not stand it, he also told Renata to go pedaling. Renata obeyed his orders and they surrounded the pool.
Satisfied with duck boat. No, Yogi is not satisfied. He is actually exhausted because Renata who occasionally steals the opportunity and stops pedaling. If Renata wasn't the girl he loved, maybe he'd have thrown Renata into the pool. However, Renata was also sweating, even quite a lot.
Unsatisfied, Renata dragged him to another vehicle. Because both of them are tired, Renata takes him on a merry-go-round. The girl was riding on in one of the horse-shaped chairs. However, Yogi did not follow the girl. He prefers to be on the sidelines and photographing Renata using a mobile phone. The result was quite good because Renata was willing to smile, even pose for him.
He could print the picture later. It could be a memory for him in the future.
Tiredness disappears. They also moved and enjoyed another ride. I don't know how many times they bought tickets to play. Yogi enjoyed all of that.
“Can we rest for a while? I am getting tired,” Yogi said.
“Oh, what time is it?” Renata took out the phone from his pocket. Unlike the phone, Renata phone has no buttons at all. Renata said that it is called a smart phone and has a touch screen feature. The price of the smart phone is so high. If a Yogi wants one, he has to save for several years. “Oh, one o'clock in the afternoon. I think we should have lunch. Come, to the park!”
“Eh? To park? Shouldn't we go to ...―”
“Sstttt ...” Renata touched the lips with her index finger. “I made provisions for us to eat together. Therefore, we go to the park and eat there.”
“Ah, sure.”
“Come!”
“I'm behind you!”
