Chapter 42 ~Rest ~
“Sometimes, a short break is the right choice. Sometimes, forcing the choice just ends up sesat”
- Unknown
Yogi is protected from the scorching sun that stings the skin. Not alone, but accompanying Renata.
Renata was seen that spread a cloth of two, or three, meters above the grass. Not long after, the girl pulled some lunch boxes out of a sling bag and arranged all of it in the middle.
Yogi is not helping because he is lazy, but Renata does not allow it. Renata told him to stand and wait. Actually he did not want to keep quiet when Renata was busy preparing everything. However, he thought that he deserved a little free time, given Renata's previous mannerisms.
Yes, today Yogi saw various sides of Renata that he had never seen before. He never thought that Renata could be nosy to him, but it was proof that Renata no longer saw him as a stranger.
He even remembered the time when he knew Renata. They rarely speak, often shrouded in silence. He even had trouble looking into Renata's eyes that time. However, he was grateful for not giving up halfway.
“Alright! you can go in,” Renata said as she placed herself near the lunchbox.
“Ah, thank you.” Yogi took off his shoes, stepped in and sat down in front of Renata.
The wind blew, bringing a fresh taste to the sweaty surface of the face. However, it also blew away the dust grains. Therefore, Yogi turned away, about to protect the eyes, but his actions came to a halt. His attention was precisely locking onto the soft waving black strands. Smiles are painted on thin lips as well as brown eyes attached to them.
Warm, soothing. However, his chest was also tight as if pierced by a lump of ice. Although the baby blows, he cannot draw air to fill the lungs. I don't know how many times he's been haunted by this strange feeling. However, the seedlings in his heart were nourished by that feeling. After months, the seedling transformed into a rose bud.
Slowly, Yogi turned away. He doesn't want to get a weird stamp for looking at a girl for too long.
His gaze went around, paying attention to the circumstances around. Around it there is a small family who also eat lunch. Do not forget also will be some pairs of lovers who combine love.
Now Yogi just thought about it. He was curious about the thoughts of others towards him and Renata. Do she and Renata look like lovers? Or do they look like family? Or maybe they just look like friends? Although the curiosity grew, there was no way he could find the answer.
“You know?” His attention shifted to Renata who opened the conversation. The girl appeared to open a box of rice that only contained white rice.
“What?” tanyanya while tilting her face.
“Try guessing! Why did I bring you here?” Renata threw another question while opening the box containing vegetables and then the box containing fried chicken. After opening each box, the girl looked at Yogi with a smile.
“Emmm ..., because you want to vacation?”
“Ahahaha ..., reasonable answer,” replied Renata after a small laugh.
“What's my answer wrong?”
“Become true. But that's just a side goal. I have another purpose. Guess what!”
“Hmmm ...,” Yogi tilts face. His two arms crossed over his chest and his brain spun, thinking of the right answer to Renata's question. However, he could not find a single answer that felt appropriate.
“Can't answer?” Renata wakes him from the daydream.
“Yapc. I'm not as smart as you or Rizki so you should tell me directly so I can understand what you mean,” she replied.
“Because you didn't answer my question, you should be punished.”
“Again?”
“Not something bad, believe me!” answer Renata.
Yogi accepted it with pleasure. For a moment, he took the time to pay attention to what would be his lunch. Everything in his lunch box seemed simple. However, pulling the tongue to make it swallow saliva. However, there was one question that crept up from behind the shadows.
“What is your cooking?” Yogi asked without a second thought.
“Eh? Yeah, I cooked it myself. Why with that?” Renata looked at him in confusion. However, it was a fairly reasonable reaction as the question had no relation to the previous chatter.
“Nothing. It looks good,” he replied.
“Do you think that I can't cook?”
“No. Really am! I didn't think of that. I was just curious. Really,” answered him while forcing lips to curl.
“Ya, stop. Come, eat!” said Renata.
“Ya.”
Slowly, Yogi scoops rice and vegetables. When the spoon is full, he puts it all in his mouth. Unlike the rice he used to eat, the rice Renata used must be of high quality. Therefore, it gives a sweet taste when touching the tongue. The vegetable taste is fresh. However, the broth and salty taste remain concentrated.
All these flavors are mixed in the mouth, creating an inexplicable taste using sentences. It was like he was immersed in an explosive taste. If Renata enters the cooking competition, Renata can definitely get first place with the powerful umami.
“Enak. It's very tasty,” praise Yogi. Actually he wanted to say another word, but only that word was etched into his mind.
“Ah, you praise me too much. Spend fast! I still want to play after this,” reply Renata.
“Sure!” not thinking further, Yogi immediately chewed his lunch. A few seconds later, Yogi had eaten two meals, while Renata had only eaten one.
Yogis are completely satisfied with Renata's food. If Renata opened a restaurant, he would stop by there every day.
Now Renata has issued a flask. Not to forget, two plastic cups were removed. The girl poured some warm tea and handed it to Yogi. The yogi receives and starts sucking the liquid.
When the contents ran out, he put an empty glass on the cloth. His attention shifted to the sky, staring at the pool of water vapor that was marching along the wind. The rays of the sun seemed to peek out from behind the branches and leaves, caressing the surface of the face in a friendly manner.
If Renata hadn't invited him, he might still have locked himself in his room and studied. However, he was thankful that it did not happen.
Yogi's gaze moved on the approaching Renata. The girl sat down on the Yogi side. Shortly thereafter, Renata holds the cheek and pulls Yogi's face.
“Eh?” Yogi makes a strange sound. When he regained consciousness, Renata had placed his head on the lap of the girl. “What is this?”
“This is my purpose in bringing you here,” Renata replied.
“Emm ..., meaning?”
“You've been pushing yourself too much lately. That's what's causing your grade to drop. Therefore, I want you to rest for a moment,” Renata replied.
From the current position of Yogi, he got the perfect view. The beautiful face was doused in sunlight and carried her mind to the sky.
“Thank you.”
“Ssttt ..., don't talk! Close your eyes and rest!”
“Hmmm ...” Yogi.
Slowly, he took a deep breath and began to close his eyes, feeling a sense of calmness enveloping himself. With sunshine and baby friends, perfecting the day.
