Chapter 18 ~Hampir~

“Il est plus difficile de dissimuler les sentiments que l'on a que de feindre ceux que l'on n'a pas” / “It is harder to hide feelings than to pretend not to have it”

- Francois de la Rochefoucauld

Yogi is grateful that Rizki left him with Renata, and Lia. Although he uses Rizki as an excuse to start traveling around, but eventually he does not look for Rizki.

He instead accompanied Renata and Lia around, looking at the various items sold. However, the two of them did not buy a single piece of cloth. Well, he thought that it was only natural since they were both small, just like him.

He even only brought Rp. 500,000,- in the bag. That money is also a savings part.

He thought of buying something for Rizki and Lia, as well as for the special Renata. For Rizki and Lia, he could buy them novels because they liked to read.

Rizki likes fantasy stories wrapped in adventure. The fight scene against monsters with magic shots as far as tens of meters. Riding a dragon to the end of space. The story can make Rizki feel at home sitting for hours. However, it will affect him because the last time Rizki was like that, they left the library, the city, in the dark.

On the other hand, he did not understand Lia's taste for novels. However, since Lia is a girl, Lia definitely likes teen fiction. A sweet love story between two students. Flowers bloom in the classroom, giving it a widespread feeling of warmth. Friendship that becomes a spice and conflict that becomes a conflict, a girl must love sweet stories like that.

The last one is Renata.

Yogi raised his face, looking at Renata's back accompanied by Lia. The two girls led the way, down the hallway between the stalls. The jet hair was waving, slowly, at him.

He doesn't understand what Renata likes. It had been a week since he had known Renata. Although he liked the girl, but he only found out the general thing about Renata. It fosters frustration of curiosity. However, it is impossible to throw a variety of questions all of a sudden. That would feel strange to Renata.

The irony is that he knows more about Renata's best friend, Lia. Maybe because Lia has a lot of mouths or because she can always think clearly when with Lia. He doesn't know the reason. What he knows is that he's frustrated by his cowardice. If he had more courage, maybe he could have said more to Renata.

“Ah, bookstore!” lia's voice pierced the ear, drawing Yogi's consciousness back to reality.

When Yogi's attention highlighted Lia, he found Lia pointing at one of the stalls. His attention shifted, following Lia's hand and finding the bookstore next to him. Although from the outside, his eyes had found many bookshelves lined up neatly.

“Come, we're in!” Lia dragged Renata inside. If Yogi was in front of the two of them, what he saw was probably a wry smiling Renata.

Yogi shrugged, thinking that it was a good coincidence because he did intend to buy books for Rizki and Lia.

Slowly, he raised his legs, taking turns, entering the bookstore, overtaking Renata and Lia. As he passed through the entrance, he found Renata sculpting on one of the bookshelves. At the sight of that, he thought that an opportunity had come for him.

Not thinking any longer, he immediately approached the girl.

“R-Renata,” the sound is stuck in the throat, but it can still come out.

“Ya?” Renata turned around, revealing a beautiful face that shook her chest. At that time, his mind turned white, no longer able to process the word.“Ah, Yogi.”

“A ..., emm ..., d-where is Lia?” her lips smiled, but she cried out with all her might, realizing the foolishness of talking about another girl.

“Ah, she just dived.” Renata pointed to the inside of the shop. Yogis mess up first impressions, but it's not time to step back.

“Emmm ..., do you also like books?” Yogi.

“Not really. I only read when I want it,” replied Renata, “how about you?”

“Eh? Me?” The yogi points to himself.

“Ya.” Renata nodded at him.

“Same as you, even in fact I almost never read,”jawa Yogi while scratching the back head.

“Oh, I thought you liked reading too, like Lia.”

“Not like that,” the answer is short. “Emmm ..., you know? On the first day we met and you said goodbye to the library, at that time I thought that you like to read books.”

“Ahaha ..” Renata chuckles, “you are not the first to say that.”

“Well, anyone would think that you like to read books when you say that, coupled with your quiet personality, it amplifies that impression.” Yogi had a small laugh while replying to Renata.

“Oh, that? Then what do you think of when you see me sleeping and Lia reading a book?” Renata throws another question at him.

“Aa ..., when that happened, I thought, did your souls get switched?” Yogi turned away, trying to hold back the laughter of his silly thoughts.

“Astagah ..., do you really think that way? It was silly, ahahaha ...,” the girl's laughter exploded, giving her a soul-shaking scene.

“I know it's ridiculous. I'll bet that Rizki was thinking the same thing back then.” The yogi raises his two hands to the side.

“I know that I am not as smart as Rizki,” he replied while scratching his head.

“By the way,” Renata sighed, stopped laughing before continuing, “what do you think of Lia?”

“Eh?” Yogi is silent for a moment, “act and his body is like a child. So, I saw him as a little brother. Well, although I actually also have a younger sister,” replied Yogi.

“You don't like it?” Renata tilted her face.

“No. He's just good as a friend. As a lover, I thought she was too selfish and spoiled,” she replied.

“You're right.”

“Kak. Yogi,” their attention is both distracted by the sound. What they found was Lia waving at Yogi.

“Congratulations for getting a new sister,” taunts Renata.

“Oh, I give up. I will go to him first,” Yogi said before approaching Lia.

“Ya,” Reply Renata.

“Kakak,” said Lia to him.

“I'm not your brother,” he replied with an annoyed face.

“Oh, come! It was a pretty good game for me,” Lia puffed her cheeks, giving a sweet face that caused a taste to pinch those tiny cheeks.

“Forget that! Why did you call me?”

“Ah, correct. Follow me!” Lia turned around and walked towards one of the shelves.

After a few steps inside, Yogi could no longer look at Renata. Now he is surrounded by a towering bookcase.

“Can you get that?” Lia pointed at one of the books that were on a high shelf. For a moment, he could not find the book Lia meant.

“Which book do you mean?”

“My Heart (not) by Mayn Urr Izqi,” when Lia replied, her attention immediately spread and found the title of the book. He immediately approached the shelf and grabbed the book. After that, he turned the book around. The price listed there is Rp. 76,000,-. He could buy it for Lia.

“You want it?” yogi asked while showing Lia the cover of the book. Lia nodded in response. “I'll buy you, but you must meet my two conditions.”

“Terms?” Lia tilted her face. “What is it?”

“I also want to buy a book for Rizki. He likes fantasy stories, but I don't know what kind of book is good. Therefore, I want you to choose.”

“It's easy. Then what's the second condition?” Lia flicked her fingers while smiling widely.

“I don't know what Renata likes. So, I want your advice.”

Silent. Lia didn't give an answer. The little girl just looked at him with a smile that was starting to fade.

“Lia?” he called the girl's name.

“Kak. Yogi, do you like Renata?”

“Eh?” his eyes widened when he heard it enter his ears. “A-what makes you think like that?”

“Then why do you want to buy something for Rena?”

“It was just ..., because I bought you both something. So, I was thinking of buying Renata too.”

“Ah, it makes sense.”

“Can we find a book for Rizki?”

“Sure! Follow me, Brother!” Lia turned around and stepped quickly.

“Haaa ...,” Yogi breathes a sigh of relief. He never thought that Lia was that sensitive. Maybe he should be careful when with Lia.
