Chapter 39 ~Takeful~

“It would be better for me to shut up, rather than having to lie.”

- Mayn Urr Izqi

A few weeks have passed. Surely Yogi is not discouraged and continues the day, as usual, even learning as it should. No day without digesting textbooks. He transformed into a human figure who thirsts for knowledge, symbolizing his feelings that do not want to lose to Rizki and Renata.

But not only that. Lia who was originally at the bottom, had caught up with him. The petite girl almost stood on equal footing with Rizki and Renata.

In the last tryout, Yogi was 103; renata was 9; Rizki was 7; Lia was 20. Lia's running like a rocket. The girl left him behind, approaching Rizki and Renata at the top.

Envied? Sure Yogi is envious. However, Lia did nothing to him. Therefore, he could not hate Lia. He just made it a motivation. If Lia can do that, then she can too. Therefore, he did not reduce his study time and continued to review various exam questions.

When he finds trouble, he will approach Renata or Rizki to ask for enlightenment. When Renata, or Rizki explains, she will enter focus mode and digest everything that comes out of Rizki's mouth, or Renata's.

When Sunday came, he went to the bookstore. National examination materials and a collection of questions he chose as a hand for himself. After that, he went home and started working on those things.

Over the last few weeks, that's what he's done. In hopes of seeing the number eight in the value box, he continued to learn and learn.

Yogi smiled widely. He was stunned in silence, staring at the sheet of paper on the mading. Paper is not just paper. The paper shows the value obtained by each student who follows the second tryout.

It seems that Rizki and Renata are still settling on the last order. Renata is 9th; Rizki is 7th. However, Lia rose to 17th. Once again, the little girl rose higher as if she was about to take the first position.

It made her curious as to what kind of spell Lia was using. The girl only studied at certain times, whereas she studied at every leisure. But somehow he achieved nothing.

In 106th place he is. The value is not much different from the first tryout. No, actually the value is a little lower when compared to the first tryout. However, he still did not understand why his hard work did not pay off. Does life not glimps at his hard work? Is fate too busy to notice his hard work?

For the second time. His little heart was torn apart, even breathing was strange. His body seemed to be inserted in a vacuum, pressed until the body was scattered. The noise, all around, also sounded like scorn directed at him.

He is not the center of attention. However, he felt that each pair of eyes was watching him, looking down on him who failed for the second time. But he did not want that disappointment either.

Slowly, he turned around, wading through the herd of humans who were drowning in the commotion. When he passed through the sea of humans, he kept his hands in his jacket pocket and then moved away.

He walked down the hallway while counting every tile that was missed. If he returned to class, his three friends would definitely shower him with various questions. However, he did not want to answer a single question. Therefore, he took another direction at the intersection.

Because he has nowhere else to go. He also went to a favorite location. I don't know when was the last time he went there with Rizki. However, it was long enough to make him reminisce when staring at the place from afar.

For the past few months, he had been preoccupied with the task and activities of approaching Renata. Therefore, he almost never came to that place again.

“Haa ..” Yogi sighed while slamming his body into the concrete chair. His back was propped against the wall, while the vision was lifted, staring at kirana who was peering over the branch.

The sun looks at it from behind a tree. These thin rays reach the face, stroking gently and kindly, bringing peace to mind. However, his chest felt cold, as if there was a suffocating ice. However, the lips remain curved upwards even though they are almost invisible.

He took a deep breath and threw it away through his mouth. The brain begins to spin, trying to find answers to failures. However, not a single answer came. His mind was white.

“Sial, I can't think of anything,” lamented as he scratched his head violently.

“Eh?” The yogi turned quickly to the source of the voice.

His attention was fixed on the red, snow-patterned, tucked, on the hair, over the ears. Then, the vision headed to the side, staring at the dark brown eyes reflecting on his face. Down a few centi and he found a curved line on the reddish lips.

“R-Renata?” he called the girl's name. He had no idea that Renata would show up.

“What do you think?” the girl throws a question.

“Ah ..., the ...” Yogi turned away, scratched his cheek and tried to find something else to talk about, “Emm ..., what are you doing here?”

“I?” Renata pointed at his own face and Yogi nodded in return. “I saw you walking alone. Out of curiosity, I followed you,” Renata replied as she moved to Yogi's side.

The girl sat next to Yogi. Yogi also took the time to peek at the smile attached to the thin lips. However, Yogi immediately turned and looked at the sky. He was not in a good condition to talk to Renata. He even wanted to leave Renata and sleep in class. However, he could not do that to the girl who stole his attention.

“So ..., why are you here?” Renata throws another question.

“Ah, no special reason. I just want to be alone for a while,” he replied without staring at Renata.

“Heee .., I thought only Rizki liked to be alone,” Renata commented.

“Ahahaha .., he does love silence,” replies.

“Lalu ..., why do you want to be alone?”

“Eh? Emm ..., a-do I have to answer that?”

“You won't answer?”

“It would be better for me to shut up, rather than having to lie.”

“Good.” Renata leaned against the wall, following Yogi who had been staring at the sky.

“Because you won't answer me, you get a sentence.”

“Heee? isn't that unfair?” Yogi turned, showing a wry smile at Renata.

“Do not complain!” reply Renata while puffing cheeks.

“Ahaha ..., fine. I'm sorry. Then ..., what kind of punishment do I get?” Yogi tilts his face.

“Because tomorrow is Sunday. You must accompany me to the playground.”

“Eh?”
