Refusal

Raindrops still faithfully accompany the morning in the city of Jogjakarta. The cold so pierced the skin makes everyone too lazy to move from the comfort and warmth of his bed.

Since last night the rain has been pouring down the city non-stop. The atmosphere of a quiet and cold morning did not and made Satria lulled. He has looked fresh since the sun showed himself.

"Sat, are you leaving today?" tanya eyang while pulling a chair to sit next to Satria.

Satria and eyang putri continued his breakfast in the morning accompanied by the sound of rustling rain that increasingly sounded strong. After finishing his breakfast Satria rushed to the room to prepare to leave.

Rain will not dampen his steps to advance in life. Satria was very excited to start the day, even if the storm came even though he would not back down.

A beautiful girl with brown hair and a little bumpy looks ringing the bell at Satria's eye. The girl is seen carrying a paper bag containing Satria's favorite brownies.

"Oh, Sherina anyway. Who thinks who wants to visit early in the morning in this rainy weather." said eyang welcome the girl with a friendly.

"Daddy, it's over if not early this morning Satria must be hunting away." said Sherina a little shy.

Oneang seemed stunned for a moment considering his conversation with Satria the other day about Sherina. Honestly, he really likes the girl, besides being good and beautiful Sherina is also a girl who is very smart in business.

"Sat, do you have to be that rude as me?" sherina asked with tears almost spilled.

"Gue's sorry if you think I'm being rude or something. But Sher, I've given you a hundred good refusals a hundred times but you don't understand. Please, stop making ngarepin something that you know you won't be able to get" Satria said softly.

"Gue knows you're a good girl, but you also have to understand that the heart can't be forced. I don't want to open my heart to you, but I can't" he continued, making Sherina's tears even more overflowing.

All this time he had been trying desperately to conquer the heart of Satria. In fact he threw away his pride as a woman and continued to pursue the love of Satria. But it turns out, his struggle all this time still can not mean anything to Satria.

"What does Arinda have that I don't have Sat?" asked Sherina with a sob.

"Sherina I think you yourself must know and understand this is not all about it. It's all about me dying with him, until there's no place for anyone else in my heart" Satria said.

"Gue knows you're a good girl, and I'm sure one day you'll find someone better than me. I beg you please stop right now, don't make me look like a bad person in the eyes of others. Satria allows Sherina to cry and vanish all her feelings. He remained unmoved and did not leave, however Sherina had once been his friend. And all this time Sherina's been very kind to him.

To be honest Satria did not have the heart, but he did not want Sherina to be dissolved with her feelings getting further and further. She doesn't want to let Sherina sink into high expectations about their relationship.

"I envy Sat the same Arinda, who you can love that much. Sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable all this time. I hope someday, I can be loved that much by someone." Sherina said in the end.

Satria could only look on pity to see Sherina who passed away after saying goodbye to her. Deep down, Satria does feel sorry for him, but Satria does not want to live a relationship full of falsehood.

As good as a lie, reality will be better even though it feels bitter. It's not about Arinda, but it's about her own heart that can't just dock into another heart.

Sherina with her broken heart tries to heartily accept her defeat. He realized that all this time he was too stubborn to maintain his feelings fostering vain hope.

After seeing Sherina leave, Satria finally decided to continue her steps, even with a slightly uncomfortable feeling. However, Sherina had been very good to him, had a little guilt in Satria's heart.

But he again brushed it off, Satria believes his decision this time was the best for both of them. Supposedly, he had done it a long time ago and did not let Sherina get this far with his feelings.
