Always trying to see the good and bright side, it is not easy. But this is one way to make our hearts more peaceful and calm.
If something unpleasant happens, we accept sincerely, while asking ourselves, what lessons can I get from this incident. What wisdom can I take away from this. What are the steps forward that make this better.
If we dissolve into the "dark" and sad thing that is not good for our lives, trying to find the bright side of the dark thing is the right good thing to do, even if it's not easy.
Focus more on what we can be grateful for, because this is where we find calm and peace.
Sunday, end of twilight.
A piece of writing now fills up her blog page again, Rahma turns off her laptop and closes it after she rereads and posts her writing.
The sound of adzan maghrib is heard sayup-sayup, starting from far away until now the mutual understated from one mosque and another mosque.
Rahma tidied up her laptop and some books that have always been her constant friends these days. It has been a week since his return from the hospital Rahma asked permission not to enter school for health reasons, since then his activities have only been writing and reading.
Dozens of incoming calls and dozens of messages from Anggara filled his phone, since leaving Rahma at the health center where the man was treated continued to contact him. Although Rahma never picked up the phone or read the messages she sent, but she was not deterred to continue contacting the woman who is still his wife.
As of this moment, Rahma was about to get out of her seat and was about to enter her house because of Maghrib, the ringing of the phone stopped her. He saw the screen that continued to light up, a contact with my husband's name was listed there.
Rahma chose to ignore it, until now she is still reluctant to establish communication with Anggara, it is not easy for Rahma to arrange her heart after knowing the reality about her married husband again.
"Naw, Anggara called me. He said he had transferred money to your account, he asked me to tell you because the phone and the message you never reply" a message back Rahma received, he said, this time from Lisna. Apparently Anggara contacted him because Rahma never picked up her phone.
Rahma chose to enter the bathroom for ablution because the adhan maghrib had ended without intending to reply to the message sent by her best friend
On the expanse of the prayer hall has always been the most comfortable place for Rahma, she spilled out all the heartbreak in her prostration. Rahma realized that everything that happened in her life was the destiny that God had set for her.
"Astaghfirullah.ya Allah forgives the servant" many times the speech istighfar said from his speech, realizing his mistake in acting all this time.
Trusting God is the key to everything. When a person believes that all the affairs are in the hands of God, his heart is filled with calm and serene. Whatever the situation and conditions.
"Bismillah," he muttered steadily, he managed to steady his heart to not dissolve in the dark space of sorrow that befell him. Looking for the bright side of the dark path he was treading on he would do. Rahma was convinced that God would lead her to a better state. Accepting his destiny to be pitted, Rahma will try.
Tok.dok...
The sound of knocking on the door made Rahma stop her activity reading the Qur'an while waiting for Isha time to come. He moved from his seat and out of the room to the living room to open the door still wearing a mukena.
"Assalamu'alaikum" greeting from the outside makes Rahma the year who comes,
"Wa'alaikumsalam" Rahma answered while opening the key,
"Lis, what's wrong?" asked Rahma who was shocked to see Lisna was already standing in front of the door with two bags in her hand and one bag on her back,
"Tonight I want to do some more here, you have to help me understand the tasks given by our principal to be impressed" he said as he gawked into the house without waiting to be told, Rahma only shook her head to see the behavior of her best friend and co-worker.
He knows that Lisna is now overflowing with some tasks that are usually left to Rahma, but knowing that Rahma had to take a leave of absence to rest because of Mr. Regi's illness their principal asked Lisna to do it.
"Lis, tomorrow I want to start going to school" said Rahma on the sidelines of their dinner, before struggling with the task of Lisna invite the host to enjoy the dinner that she deliberately brought from her home, before struggling with the task,
"Really?" lisna asked immediately stopping her eating, she looked at Rahma in full search,
"Are you sure you're healthy?" lisna asked reassuringly and again answered a nod of the head by Rahma,
"Have you decided?"feeling that there was a way, Lisna now spoke more seriously with her best friend. A few days ago he did not dare to discuss this given the unstable state of Rahma. But tonight she sees that Rahma is getting better, and even Rahma seems to be getting excited to get back into their routine of teaching,
"Decide what?" asked Rahma relaxed while continuing to enjoy the food of mama Lisna's cooking,
"About your pregnancy, Anggara still doesn't know right?" Lisna carefully spoke up, she was afraid that her best friend would come back moody from talking about it.
When Rahma was treated, the doctor told her that if Rahma was pregnant, it made Lisna shocked and happy. Shock because when the big problem is shaking the household of his best friend it turns out Rahma was pregnant but she was happy because finally do'a and Rahma's hope was granted, Rahma will become a mother. But considering Anggara's behavior, Lisna again growled.
"For now, I still want to try to make sure my heart and mind can accept the fact that Mas Anggara has a wife other than me" Rahma replied casually, now he is more free to express his outpouring of heart to Lisna after his friend knew the true state of his household.
Lisna even became the first to know that she was now two-bodied. Rahma asks Lisna that her pregnancy is not known to others, especially Anggara including her family and Lisna also according to her.
"Your family, have you been told?'' lisna asked again, and Rahma replied by shaking her head.
"I'm not ready" he replied briefly,
"All right, it's up to you. Whatever your decision I will support. I'm sure you'll think and act wisely and whenever you need me, I'll always be ready to help" Lisna again gave support to Rahma, and it made Rahma smile. He nodded with a big smile looking at his best friend.
They also returned to chatting lightly while enjoying mama Lisna's cooking before starting to do the task.
Twelve o'clock in the evening Lisna's duties were completed with Rahma's help. Lisna had even fallen asleep on the thick carpet that was their seat with the laptop still on. Rahma smiled looking at her already slumbering best friend, she picked up the blanket and let Lisna settle down with her sleep.
Tonight Rahma chose to sleep in the living room, she did not wake Lisna up to move into the room. Rahma chooses to bring a blanket and pillow and sleep side by side with Lisna after turning off Lisna's laptop.
The wall clock was showing at one in the morning. Like the previous nights, he still had a hard time closing his eyes but tonight was a little different, although he still could not fall asleep but tonight there were no more tears accompanying him. His heart calmed down more after making the decision.
Rahma grabbed the phone that since this afternoon in silent, she again received calls and incoming messages from Anggara. Rahma decided to open the messages from her husband and read them.
"Assalamu'alaikum, dear sorry if I have to leave you. Mama called said Friska fell in the bathroom. I'll be right back after making sure everything's okay"
Rahma sighed, she now knew that was the reason Anggara chose to leave and leave her at the clinic.
"Darling, how are you? better yet? sorry I can't go back. Friska needs me so much"
Rahma again threw her breath rough, reading the message made her heart feel pinched.
"Darling, can you go home? thankfully. I've transferred money for your treatment. Get well, I love you"
"Darling, are you home? why don't you pick up my phone? you still angry? I hope you understand my situation. I'm sorry baby, I love you"
And there are many more messages Anggara sent every day during this week. The words of love are always on the crest by Anggara almost in every message, making Rahma repeatedly sigh when reading it.
Rahma will end her surfing in the chat room of herself and her husband because only the words of love Anggara sent, but a last message quite caught her attention again.
"Honey, early next month the four-monthly thanksgiving of Friska's pregnancy. I told Friska, Mom and Papa that you accepted our wedding and will be at it. I'll pick you up later, I've also transferred the shopping money for you. See you early next month baby, I love you"
If you say those words of love without anyone else in your heart and life, I would be very happy, Mas" she murmured, Rahma closed her eyes, hope the drowsiness comes soon. At least by sleeping for a while he can forget all the things that have happened to him lately that make his chest always feel tight when remembering it.
