Two weeks have passed since my last meeting with Dila. Late today on June 23, I was getting ready to go to the open event with my classmates. I expectantly walked towards my faithful motorbike waiting in front of the house. In an instant, the motor was on, and I slid towards Villa the Hilma, where we were gathered.
When I arrived at the Villa, my gaze was immediately drawn to the group of other children who had gathered there. I got off my bike and stepped towards them, followed by the Star sitting leisurely on its bike.
“New dateng you? Gua kira you will not come.” Said the Star with his widened smile.
“Berisik lu.” I answered while shaking my head. We walked together towards the Villa to join the others. Upon arriving at the Villa, my eyes immediately glued to the small figure sitting on the terrace, exuding an irresistible charm.
It was Dila, with her sweet face and beautiful eyes like an alluring twilight. My gaze locked onto her as we looked at each other, and I felt the tremors of my heart pounding. I couldn't help but approach him.
I approached her and greeted her with a smile. “You've been here?”
“Iya, I'm from noon here with Hilma.” Dila answered gently, while sitting on the terrace of the Villa. “Novel I love, where have you read?” Ask while glancing at me.
I who heard Dila's question immediately smiled. “I finished reading the novel last week.”
Dila was shocked to hear the news and sought reassurance from my words. “Seriously? It took 3 months to complete the novel.”
“What do you think the novel is?”
“I enjoyed every word I read from the novel, but what I couldn't accept was why Blue couldn't be with Binta, even though Nugraha people in need Binta but why is the presence of Blue only limited to stop and then go?”
Dila pondered for a moment, her facial expression full of thought. “I also think like that, but if I were in Binta's position, it looks like I would also choose Nugraha as my choice.”
“As Blue says, that not everyone comes into our world to settle down. Some stopped long ago and left. Someone just stopped by for a while and left. Because indeed, he was sent the universe to leave a lesson or some beautiful memories that are annoying because they can not be forgotten.” Saying to Dila simultaneously, our voices joined in an electrifying harmony, uttering a quote from the novel.
While the children were busy preparing food for breaking their fast, I could not take my eyes off Dila. In that hubbub, we stayed focused on each other, knowing that maybe this was the last day we were both together before finally separating.
A twilight ray slowly gushed across the sky, creating a magical atmosphere around us. The boisterous sounds of the children, the seductive aroma of cooking, and the longing in Dila's eyes, all fused together in one unforgettable moment.
“Come get you guys want to open not?” Felia cried out to all of us who were busy with their respective affairs.
I stood up from my seat and thrust my hand towards Dila to invite her to break. “Come, soon open.”
Dila clasped my hand with a smile. “Iya, come.”
Dila and I walked to the opening place there were already many children who were preparing to open, me and Dila were sitting near Hendrik and Muladi who were preparing to wait for the adhan magrib.
“Lu fast Drik?” I asked Hendrik who was next to me.
I just laughed at Hendrik's words. “Kira gua lu not fasting.”
Adhan magrib reverberated, we all break the fast together to break the fast today. After I finished eating I sat in the distance with the Bintang and Hendrik smoking, I looked and noticed you were chatting there, how to speak softly, how it sounds soft and soothing to the ears and how you close your mouth when laughing. I watched everything until you finally saw me from a distance who was watching you, you gave me a beautiful smile and I did not forget to return that smile.
After the end of the event that night, we did not forget to take a picture together before disbanding, Dila who was a bit short and stood behind me trying to be able to take pictures but was blocked by me, and I who saw Dila immediately gave a place to Dila so that she could follow the photo by standing in front of me.
I retreated to the back and gave my place to Dila. “In front of the establishment, let it look like.”
Dila walked forward and stood in front of me. “Still, Blue.”
I who heard Dila calling me by the name Blue just smiled a little at her.
After finishing the photo with Zahid proposed for the other children to go to the night market which is not too far from Villa, but there are also those who did not come to the market that night.
I approached Dila and invited her to come to the night market with me. “You're coming? Rarely do you go to the night market.” I said with unspoken hope.
Dila looks hesitant for a moment, but finally she smiles and asks, “Can you come?”
I smile. “Of course, for Senjani all I will do and whatever I have you can have it all. Ice cream first bite, BBQ that still has bones, my favorite pull tea, chicken noodles last mouthful, shoulder to lean on and ears that are always ready and happy to hear you tell a story. You can ask for it, without asking me. As long as it's you, everything you can have.”
I heard my words with warmth. Without hesitation, he got on the back of my bike and prepared to leave with me and my friends.
Muladi who saw me who was piggybacking Dila also approached me with a slightly irritated face. “Oi Den, you're here with the cave and now you're coming home with Dila?”
I just laughed a little at the muladi that spilled on me. “Hehehe, the Hendrik is empty, you go up just like him.”
Muladi stepped with a step towards Hendrik's bike, his face still looking a bit upset. He rode his bike firmly and prepared to leave.
I could feel the tension in the air as Dila asked me with concern in her voice, “No papa? I don't feel good about Muladi?”
I calmed Dila down with a warm smile. “Udah, relax. It's not a big deal. After all, there are still many empty motors.”
Windi and Star looked at Dila who was riding behind me and they approached anxiously. Windi asked with a worried tone. “Lu follow, Dil?”
Dila just smiled, trying to calm all their worries. He nodded his head steadily. “Iya, I'm coming.”
