A Poem To Dila

A Poem To Dila
Hanging a happiness

One month after the completion of the drama of the performance and the final exam of the semester, the first semester of the third year, the, I was preoccupied with the try out and the National exam that will be conducted two months from now which makes my High School period only half a year away. This morning on January 28, Bintang and Hendrik gathered at the shop before leaving for school I went to the minimarket to buy a book because my book was up.

“Oi nge, cave to minimarket first yes! Want to buy a book.”

The stars are chasing me. “Oi bentar cave come, want to buy pads also for Windi.”

I was holding back a laugh when Bintang said a bandage. “Tang you are not shy about buying pads?”

“Cause you're going to use tuh sanitary pad.” Said Hendrik who suddenly approached me and the Star.

“Mata lu.” Said the Star with a loud tone.

“Ya already cave also come to minimarketnya.”

“Lah you want to do come join nge?” I asked Hendrik. “Cave to minimarket want to shop ege, do not want to warteg?”

“Gua all want to see the cashier, because it's cakep.” Hendrik chimed in on my words.

Arriving at the minimarket I also took a book and walked to the cashier and put the book I had bought on the cashier table.

“So 40,000 mas in total, any more mas?”

“Udah it doang.”

“What else does it take?” The cashier asked me again.

“Mbak, mbak honest deh mbak, mbak have a crush with me right mbak?” Ask Hendrik to the cashier who is in front of us.

Cashier's mom smiled. “Negot mas.”

“Mbak, don't be harbored mbak, mbak it's always a smile, always friendly to me every time I come here mbak.”

“Hmmm, how is this friend?” Ask the cashier to me and the stars.

“Mbak her crazy, sedative abis.” My words answered the word cashier.

“Mata mbak, mbak eyes when looking at me as if full of meaning mbak.” Hendrik said back to the cashier.

“Udah ege, why else lo?” I asked Hendrik.

“Mbak, I also like to mbak, mbak it stay conffes to me stay conffes, anyway I will also accept not in pendam gini.” Said Hendrik who thought that the cashier had feelings for him.

I calmed Hendrik down. “Udah is serious again lo.”

“Dog cave think gimmick nge.” The Star said to Hendrik.

“Mas friend please take it away yes mas others because want to pay, sorry really yes mas ya.” The cashier brother asked me to take Hendrik out.

“Iya yes mbak.” I said while holding Hendrik's body with the Stars to be taken out.

“Mbak, do not because I am still SMA mbak worry I can not support mbak ya, mbak conffes mbak conffes.” Hendrik said while insisting on the cashier's father.

“What is Den lu?” Hendrik asked why I stopped him while walking to school.

“Lu crazy times yes, baper same cashier? He is friendly in the demands of work anying.”

“Smiling him to the cave is different Den, cake there are views of his love so.” Hendrik tried to justify his words.

“Lu thought her smile to the cave was a psychopathic smile? Bego really have a friend yes tang ya.”

“Friends you tuh.” The stars said to me.

“Friends lu.” I said to deny the words of the Star.

“Gua tau lu singles but not that also ege, you even unsettled anying.” The Star said to Hendrik.

“Pauli son of a bitch cave.” Hendrik said as he entered the school gate.

Once at my school, Bintang and Hendrik sat in the parking lot waiting for the other children to come, and after all gathered we went to class.

“Beber ya cave want to si Windi first.” The Star said as it left me and the other children.

The star gave her the pads she had bought at the minimarket. “Create you nih Win.”

“What do you mean by sanitary napkin to the cave?” Windi asked the Bintang who gave him the bandage.

“This is the end of the month right Win.”

“Terus?”

“Emang month you haven't come?” Ask the Stars to Windi.

“Builded months of your busy cave.”

“Month you responsibility cave Win.”

“Enjoy you care of the moon cave.”

“Antipation Win.”

“Cave month has not yet arrived.” Windi told the Star.

“Datengin dong.” Say the stars while grimacing.

“Ask in your hajar ya.” Said Windi while pulling the collar of the Star suit.

“Iya yes sorry.” The star gave the bandage to Windi.

Me and the other children entered the classroom, from a distance I saw the figure of Dila who was sitting in her chair together with Jey who was her close friend after Windi. Because our seats were next to mine, so often I watched her, how she spoke softly and softly, how she covered her mouth when she laughed, and how she smiled. It was beautiful things that always made me excited for school.

Time passed by so quickly, and now we have entered Mey month, the month that marks the end of the rainy season and also the end of my High School trip. I sat up straight in my brown chair, holding the pen tightly while preparing to take down important materials for the upcoming National Examination. When the lesson began, my view was divided between two different directions. First, I stared at the blackboard filled with scribbles of physics formulas that looked like a complicated labyrinth that made my brain boil down in an effort to understand it.

However, my unstoppable gaze was always on the figure of the woman beside me. She was Dila, the woman whose smile was like an orange-colored twilight sky, radiating warmth and beauty. Every time he smiled, it was as if the sunlight was setting behind his eyes, creating a calming and dazzling aura. When my eyes were glued to her, I couldn't hold back the haunting thoughts. I always thought, what if he had the same feeling? What if he sees me as not just a friend or a bully who always pisses him off? Of course I want him to see me as someone inseparable from his life, as the person he always needed and wanted. I want to be home to her deepest heart, where she feels safe and indwelling forever.

“Den, Den... Don't daydream.” Whisper Dila to me, stopping my daydreams that were deep in thought about him.

“Eh yes, yes.” I tried to refocus on the teacher who was teaching in front of the class.

“Okay children, because your Monday has started the National Examination, I hope you can do your best for the Examination, and also because your High School period only counts months before graduating, I advise that when you grow up you are not disappointed in the decisions you make at this time.” Said the teacher while leaving my class because the subjects were finished.

I who heard the words from the teacher immediately looked towards Dila who was not far from me.

“Dila” My words call him in a soft tone.

“Iya den, what is it?” Dila answered while facing me.

Shortly after I called Dila, Bintang and Hendrik approached me to take me to the cafeteria.

“Oi Deni, canteen no?”

“Later cave nyulai.”

“Serious you didn't come? Just be careful if later before you go to the cafeteria already hunted the bell, do not turn on the cave and say the cave does not ngajak lu ya.” Say the Star while walking towards the cafeteria with Hendrik, Yomi, Robi, and Zahid.

“Eh you just said what?” Ask Dila while continuing the words.

I smiled at Dila. “No papa ko.”

“Dil, are you going to the cafeteria?” Windi asked who wanted to go to the cafeteria with Jey.

Dila stood up from her seat. “Iya come.”

Windi grumbling. “Lu not together with his boys even follow us.”

“No right for you to say it kegua, cave want road with anyone also it's right cave.” I said while walking beside Dila.

“This brat songong bet.” Windi immediately kicked behind my feet which made me fall.

“Lu what is anjir? Can not be silent as a girl, the star seems not normal pacarin lu.” I said with a loud tone.

Windi hit me back. “Whispering.”

Windi walked first with Jey, Dila who saw me who had not yet stood up to me to help me stand up. “Enya do not mengeselin, will get its own stone.”

“Iya yes sorry.” I said as I held Dila's hand and stood up.

After arriving at the cafeteria I walked with Dila to the canteen mother who was busy taking care of people who bought food.

“Bu, bu.” I said while calling the canteen mom.

“Oh Deni same neng geulis happened to you guys came here, please help mom yes because this is a very rame that buy.” Said the cafeteria mother asking for help from me and Dila.

Dila and I walked to the cafeteria. “By ma'am, but Deni's debts paid off yes.”

“If it's different again.”

“Joking kok bu.” I smiled as I walked towards the male students who wanted to buy food.

“Kak I want to buy kak.” Said the student who wanted to buy food here.

“You buy what deck, want to buy meatballs? Chicken noodles? a somay? Or this brother?” I said while pointing towards Dila.

The student smiled as he pointed towards Dila. “Ya already my brother bought his sister aja.”

“Eh this is not sold deck, because the stock is limited, incidentally brother also dapetnya via gacha.” I said while smiling.

Dila who heard my words immediately pinched my stomach firmly. “Don't prank a classmate, Deni.”

“Ayam.” I said reflexively from being jolted by Dila's sharp pinch, then she pulled me back to replace me in serving other customers.

“Iya deck, what to buy?” Ask the student.

“Be willing to buy brother, but because brother already owned the same brother, yes already buy somaynya aja kak 5,000 do not use sambel ya.” Said the student while teasing Dila and pointed at me.

“Ehh.” Dila was surprised because the student thought I was dating her .

“Bu somaynya 5,000 do not use sambel.” I said to the canteen Mother.

The cafeteria mother came to me and gave me a tray of food and a tray of drinks. “Den you are the same neng geulis please anterin this to table number three same number six yes, this is the order of three meatballs, the same four chicken noodles, keep the tea three and the mineral water 4.”

Dila and I walked to table number three and number six, and it turned out that table number three was filled by Windi, Jey and Bintang, while table number four was filled by Hendrik, Robi, and Bintang, Yomi and Zahid.

“This sister, the food is three meatballs sama—” saidku, and continued by Dila. “Three unsalted teas.” While giving the meatballs and fresh tea to Windi, Jey and Bintang.

“You two more why?” Jey asked Dila who was delivering drinks.

I smile. “We again household simulation.”

“Cua is not the same lu.” Jey said to me who chimed in on her words.

Dila laughed a little. “I'm the same Deni was told to help the canteen mother he said again rame, so ask for help both of us.” Dila answered Jey's words, and walked back to me to deliver food and drink to Hendrik's table.

“This is an order for Mr. Hendrik and friends, four chicken noodles equal four mineral water.” I said as I put the food on their dining table.

“Oi ege, do you want to eat food? Eat it you do not owe money, so romusa kan lu now.” Hendrik laughed with the four of them.

“Damn it, yes already if you a lot of cave talk bring back again ni chicken noodles.” I said, lifting their food back up.

“Eh... uh.. uh. joking ege, don't take seriously also times.” Hendrik has the food I want to raise.

Dila and I went back to the cafeteria to help her get back, after some orders were finally done with my work, and I ordered a meal to the cafeteria mother to eat with Dila.

“Bu, chicken noodles two equal mineral water two yes.” I said to the canteen Mother while sitting on the chair with Dila.

“Before mom check first.” canteen mom check her food whether it is still there or is up. “Aduh mom apologizes, chicken noodles only one serving left.”

“If meatballs or somay bu?”

“Same meatballs somay also already abis all, the rest of the stay chicken noodles doang.”

“Well how dong?” Speak to Dila.

It turned out that all the food in the cafeteria was gone, leaving only one serving of chicken noodles and nothing else.

“Yes already, mother thanks chicken noodles is free as a sign of gratitude and apology mom to you guys, how?” The canteen mother said to me and Dila.

“Ya already ma'am, no papa make a chicken noodle for Dila.”

“Kok make me doang?” Ask Dila to me.

“Yet there will be one more portion, if you do not eat later you laper.” My answer to Dila.

“Yes already, we eat half aja.” Said Dila to provide a solution to the problem that occurred.

“Later you are not full. So the chicken noodles are for you aja.” I tried to reject the solution from Dila.

“Yes already if you do not eat, I will not eat.” Said Dila with a sullen face and threatened me.

“Iya deh yes I eat too.” I sighed and relented on my own ego.

Dila smiled back. “Well it's dong, should be nurut.”

“This makes you chicken noodles equal two mineral water.” The canteen mom gave the chicken noodles to me and Dila.

Dila gently grabbed the bowl of chicken noodles.. “Still yes bu.”

We sat across from each other, facing each other at a small table in the corner of a crowded cafeteria. Dila picked up a pair of chopsticks gracefully, ready to enjoy the chicken noodles that mom had just made. I smiled at her, fascinated by her beautiful smile.

“Happy meal.” Say Dila while holding chopsticks to eat the chicken noodles. I who saw Dila who was eating in front of me just smiled at her, seeing how she ate, how she smiled, and how she always frowned when I questioned her.

“You make a smile, let's eat.” Dila told me to eat with her too.

“Iya deh yes, welcome to eat.” I said as I took the chopsticks and ate the chicken noodles a bowl together.

“His dinner-slows are choking again.” Dila who reprimanded me who ate spit just now.

“No, I am strong.” I said as I went back to eating the chicken noodles quickly, suddenly I was sucked when I put the chicken noodles into my mouth which made me cough.

Dila took the mineral water and gave it to me. “Baru arguablyin ntar choking already happenings, eat it if in tau tau tau it nurut, do not ngeyel.”

“Hehehe, sorry-sorry.” Said I who had just finished drinking the mineral water that Dila had just given me.

After I finished eating Dila and I left the cafeteria and went to class to return to study the last subjects of the day, and also this was the last day the teaching and learning activities ended for the 12th grade, because next week will be held the final exam or commonly called the National Exam. Once in class I returned to my seat as well as Dila who returned to his seat adjacent to me.

I never knew whose heart it was for, nor did I ever feel this happy in loving a human being. For me, you are happiness itself, hanging my happiness on you is my way of loving you. You are the one color that adorns my colorless heart, I do not want the colors of the rainbow to adorn my heart, all I want is one color, that is orange and that is in you.

Either I'll have you or I won't at the end, but I'm happy to love you this sincerely.
